OK our percentage is krap ATM - BUT we have a couple of games Blues and Dawks where if we are switched on we are a heaps better team and Can and Sould win by 10 + goals this will put us back up into the hundreds.
Sydney Kangas and Demons are only in the low hundreds in % - if we can win these crucial games Hawks,Blues by big margins and then beat either of Geelong Freo (Think we are a big chance here) or Bulldogs I reckon 12 wins will get us there :thumbsup
To go as well as we did last night without Kella Gaspar and Browny shows we are going in the right direction, there is plenty to look forward too - if not this year I will be waiting in anticipation for 2006. :thumbsup
-
We need to FLOG either Carlton or Hawthorn, maybe both, because our % is stuffing poo right now!
-
Freo has knocked off the Dees which keeps our hopes of finals alive. The Blues and Hawks should be wins for us while Freo and Dogs are winnable (dogs were very good on the weekend).
We've got to hope the Dees lose the next 3 games against the Saints, Crows in Adelaide and Geelong down at the cattery. If they do and we can win 2 of the next 3 we're in :thumbsup.

thank goodness :-\
Though I don't like the idea of having to have sides lose to help us.
-
imo we are good enough to win the next 4 str8, and lose to geelong in rnd 22. freo didnt play that well on the w/e and are vulnerable.
so carlton is the key, these are the kinda games we snuff, so by rights we should thump them by 10 goals plus and should not expect anything less. cattuy that momentume and beat freo at home. then th ebiggest challenge comes, the bulldogs, after a road trip the fast running dogs may just embarrass us so i hope tw has a plan to tackle them second time round. that then leaves the hawks and we should beat them but they always seem confident v us . then rnd 22 just maybe be revenge day, i doubt it but what a confidence boost would it be for the finals if we beat the cats at their home
-
We can't take Carlton lightly expecting to just turn up and romp home. They are shocking and IMO worse than us last year but we need to start well and get on top early like we did last time then finish them off right to the end if we are to win by a big margin.
I see Gas is labelled as a "test" so he could be back for the Freo game.

Spot on MT - going in thinking here's a percentage booster will get us into trouble. It's all about respect just asdk Geelong ;D - show your opponent none and you'll get yourself in trouble IMO
Gotta say I am nervous about this game against the Blues.
At the moment the first priority is to win - the margin will take care of itself if we play our best footy.

I see the final numbers as:
West Coast 80
Adelaide 64
Sydney 60
St Kilda 60
Geelong 52
Kangaroos 48
Richmond 48
Brisbane 44
Port Adelaide 42
Bulldogs 40
Melbourne 40
Fremantle 40
Essendon 32
Collingwood 24
Hawthorn 20
Carlton 10
If this is how it all ends up Mopsy will win the tipping Competition!!!!!
-
I'll take that Mopsy :thumbsup. We could also going by your ladder lose to the Hawks to stuff up their priority pick and still make the finals lol.

He says he believes 12 wins and a good % will get a team a finals spot but he also says it's a waste of time trying to figure out what you need as there's so many combinations and permutations. If the Dees lose to the Saints and we beat Carlton we're back in the top 8 and destiny is back in our own hands. All we can do is make sure we do our bit and win. 5 rounds of footy is a long time to guess what will happen.
-
i hope we win alll 5 games in a row, what a confidence booster b4 finals that would be esp if we beat geelong at kardinia park!
now i hope my dream comes true, say we win all 5 we will finish on 14 wins, and guaranteed finals. i suppose the boys know, to guarantee a finals birth they must win every game so i imagaine from now on eevery game will be played as hard as nails, screw % , get the wins and finals are guaranteed. play hard play ferocious, and play every game as if our lives depend on it! if they dont play with that kind of passion desire and incentive , they dont deserve to make it, and if we do make it, i hope terry and miller still chop many heads to look at the future
-
Geelong's dive in form is making things interesting. Not an easy 4 weeks coming up either - Saints, Dees, Eagles and the Tiges :thumbsup.
-
88 points will do some damage to the Dees percentage.
Now up to our boys to first win tomorrow and if we win well get ahead by a game plus %.
Carn the Tiges! :thumbsup

Stuff the mathematics.......we are OFFICIALLY dead.

Wallace: finals quest against odds
01 August 2005
Herald Sun
Grantley Bernard
FADING on the run to the post with three straight losses, Richmond coach Terry Wallace last night admitted the Tigers would have to beat the odds to make the finals this season.
Humbled by bottom-placed Carlton at Telstra Dome yesterday, the Tigers face a road trip to Fremantle that will almost certainly determine if they finish in the top eight or just settle for a season of improvement.
"Obviously, the season's still open and still alive and you would say now that you've got to win something against the odds to get there," Wallace said.
"Prior to now we would have said that if we win the games we should win you'd be able to just about get there. Now you'd have to do something over and above that to make it."
After the Dockers (9-9) at Subiaco, Richmond (9-9) plays the improving Western Bulldogs (8-10), struggling Hawthorn (4-14) and fellow finals aspirant Geelong (10-8) at Skilled Stadium in the last game of the season.
That is a testing run home and the way teams are bunching for the last one or two spots in the top eight, it doesn't leave the 10th-placed Tigers much leeway.
With those four games left, Wallace, who has lifted Richmond from four wins to nine in his first season at Punt Rd, says the Tigers can afford to lose one more game.
Richmond will be hoping for better luck with injuries going into the Fremantle game.
The Tigers lost key defender Darren Gaspar (hamstring) and Mark Chaffey (osteitis pubis) as late withdrawals, while key forward Matthew Richardson was knocked out in the first quarter of the 35-point loss to the Blues.
Richardson was carried off on a stretcher after the collision with Carlton's Brad Fisher and, though he returned to the bench and did some run-throughs at three-quarter time, did not play again. He is expected to play against Freo.
The Tigers are hopeful Gaspar will play against the Dockers, while they have to decide whether Chaffey, who has been a good midfielder this season, should go on ice or power through to the end of the season.
While the wear and tear has caught up with Chaffey, so it has with the Tigers, who started the season 7-2 only to slump with a 2-7 record over the back half of the season as injuries and fatigue have taken their toll.
"We've got a few out, we've got a few a little bit sore running around. That catches up with you," Wallace said.
That said, while Wallace is adamant the rebuilding Tigers will accept their final ladder position and try to move forward again next season, he remains optimistic of a revival in the last month this season.
"Probably . . . over the last two months you wouldn't say we're finals aspirants," Wallace said. "Now it's up to the guys to see whether they can tip that back around. It only takes one win against the grain and all of a sudden you're back in the hunt and alive and kicking again."

-
We wil beat freo - Dont ask me why - we just will :cheers
It wouldn't surprise me either CUB if we did now that everyone has written us off and after the senior blokes received a pasting from Wallace. The Tiges certainly like to tease their supporters :-\.
-
freo wil beat us by 10 goals or more next week, they will seek revenge and will punish us. i hope im wrong
