It's NOT over yet !!!
« on: July 24, 2005, 10:03:43 AM »
OK our percentage is krap ATM - BUT we have a couple of games Blues and Dawks where if we are switched on we are a heaps better team and Can and Sould win by 10 + goals this will put us back up into the hundreds.

Sydney Kangas and Demons are only in the low hundreds in % - if we can win these crucial games Hawks,Blues by big margins and then beat either of Geelong Freo (Think we are a big chance here) or Bulldogs I reckon 12 wins will get us there  :thumbsup

To go as well as we did last night without Kella Gaspar and Browny shows we are going in the right direction, there is plenty to look forward too - if not this year I will be waiting in anticipation for 2006. :thumbsup

We need to FLOG either Carlton or Hawthorn, maybe both, because our % is stuffing poo right now!

Freo has knocked off the Dees which keeps our hopes of finals alive. The Blues and Hawks should be wins for us while Freo and Dogs are winnable (dogs were very good on the weekend).

We've got to hope the Dees lose the next 3 games against the Saints, Crows in Adelaide and Geelong down at the cattery. If they do and we can win 2 of the next 3 we're in  :thumbsup.

thank goodness :-\

Though I don't like the idea of having to have sides lose to help us.

imo we are good enough to win the next 4 str8, and lose to geelong in rnd 22. freo didnt play that well on the w/e and are vulnerable.
so carlton is the key, these are the kinda games we snuff, so by rights we should thump them by 10 goals plus and should not expect anything less. cattuy that momentume and beat freo at home. then th ebiggest challenge comes, the bulldogs, after a road trip the fast running dogs may just embarrass us so i hope tw has a plan to tackle them second time round. that then leaves the hawks and we should beat them but they always seem confident v us . then rnd 22 just maybe be revenge day, i doubt it but what a confidence boost would it be for the finals if we beat the cats at their home

We can't take Carlton lightly expecting to just turn up and romp home. They are shocking and IMO worse than us last year but we need to start well and get on top early like we did last time then finish them off right to the end if we are to win by a big margin.

I see Gas is labelled as a "test" so he could be back for the Freo game.

Spot on MT - going in thinking here's a percentage booster will get us into trouble. It's all about respect just asdk Geelong ;D - show your opponent none and you'll get yourself in trouble IMO

Gotta say I am nervous about this game against the Blues.

At the moment the first priority is to win - the margin will take care of itself if we play our best footy.

I see the final numbers as:
West Coast 80
Adelaide 64
Sydney 60
St Kilda 60
Geelong 52
Kangaroos 48
Richmond 48
Brisbane 44
Port Adelaide 42
Bulldogs 40
Melbourne 40
Fremantle 40
Essendon 32
Collingwood 24
Hawthorn 20
Carlton 10

If this is how it all ends up Mopsy will win the tipping Competition!!!!!

I'll take that Mopsy  :thumbsup. We could also going by your ladder lose to the Hawks to stuff up their priority pick and still make the finals lol.

Terry seems to think its pretty over.

http://www.heraldsun.news.com.au/footy/common/story_page/0,8033,15987180%255E25877,00.html

He says he believes 12 wins and a good % will get a team a finals spot but he also says it's a waste of time trying to figure out what you need as there's so many combinations and permutations. If the Dees lose to the Saints and we beat Carlton we're back in the top 8 and destiny is back in our own hands. All we can do is make sure we do our bit and win. 5 rounds of footy is a long time to guess what will happen.
