We all knew this 'hands in the back' was a dud rule interpretation that would make a mockery of genuine one-on-one contests. We all knew it was a dud rule interpretation from day one. However it has taken the farce that was Saturday Night in which Richo was denied a mark (and subsequent winning goal), that for over 100 years previously had been paid a mark, to expose this ridiculous interpretation for what it really is. A disgrace to the spirit of Australian Rules Football. Get rid of it NOW! [...more].

Dreamtime at the 'G turned into Screamtime at the AFL Rules Committee on Saturday night. Inconsistent and soft umpiring decisions left fans of both sides bewildered at times and left Tiger fans seething. In the end the young Richmond side failed to hold onto a 3 goal lead from a fast finishing Essendon to go down narrowly again by 8 points and remain winless after 9 rounds. Best for Tigers were Deledio, Raines, Richo, Newman, Foley and Polak. [...more].
