The latest RFC poll looks at the toughest players at Tigerland over the past half-century.
Who was the toughest ever Tiger?
-
Bourke for this one as well.
-
Robbie certainly looked the toughest.
:lol
-
IMO, it's NOT the obvious "blokes"
Someone like the Flea, pound for pound was hard as stuff and for years.
Another tough bastard was Paul Broderick.A lot of his hardness went unnoticed.
Scotty Turner was tough as stuff too.
-

Lol.Right but he was full of poo.
-
I reckon Dusty is looking pretty tough these days - if its not toughness then one of you blokes can tell him for me! Normally I'd do it myself, but ... Mr Martin scares me just a little, its all there in those eyes! :o :help ;D
-
Jake King was a tough little prick, too. I loved how he took on Collingwood a few years back.
-
FFS why isn't Mopsy Fraser on the list?

How tall is Dusty? 6.2?

Would've expected to see one J Bowden on said list. Campbell, Daffy, Fiora some goodies there
-
Please

FFS why isn't Mopsy Fraser on the list?
The Poll is for Tigers of the past 50 years since we moved home games to the MCG. That's why there's no Dyer, Fraser, etc ...
-
Barry Young. Never forget the game where Gary Lyon was reported for striking him then Young turned the tables. Lyon did not get up.

Agree 100% Ox. Flea and Brodders were like sappers diving into contests to get the footy with no regard for their own safety. :thumbsup

The title is a little misleading then
it can't be toughest EVER! Should be "toughest since moving to the MCG".

I would add to that list Tony Free.

Two mentions of Broderick ? You blokes have seriously lost your marbles. Broderick was a bit soft actually. Pretty good player though.
Dyer , Fraser and Roger Dean were before my time but I heard stories.
Ricky McLean and Neil Balme were hard bastards in the 70s. They'd be my choice as the hardest tigers.
Malthouse , Weightman , Woosha Welsh , Terry Smith , Jim Jess in the early 80s. Cloke didn't take any crap either. Barry Young in the late 80s.
Tony Free in the early 90s. Scott Turner was pretty tough.
That's about it.
-
different type of toughness duncan kellaway,
-
For me its St Frances clearly.
However I have also heard enough stories to mention Don Mopsy fraser who many say was meaner and tougher than captain blood

I would like to nominate Brett Deledio. :D

You and I have this debate every bloody xmas. I'm not getting into it with you again. He was soft.
Nice to see you finally took my advice and joined this site.

We need a poll for the toughest poster
Well obviously anyone with "big" in their username is someone not to be stuffed with....
-
My immediate reaction, u don't go chucking that in your name if you are not prepared to back it up
-
OK so far that makes it;
Big Bloke 1
The Big Richo 1
-
Agreed. :darth
-
Just to clarify- ' "big" in their username when it refers to themselves - not a player or some other third party/entity...
-
Also, not entirely convinced someone with what appears to be a Bronson Pinchot avatar is trying to project a particularly fearsome persona...
-
OK so far that makes it;
Big Bloke 1
The Big Richo 1
Haha ! Nice one Chucky ;D
Stuff those two ! I'm changing my name to HUGE Dice

That would be deserving of two points

Certainly refers to me, been called Big Richo at home as opposed to my brother Richo ever since I took my first shower in the local footy shed.
And I won't hear a bad word against Balkie.
