Jack out, eye injury at training
Ugh.
Houli and Bolton in with Miles for Prestia, Short (Om) and yep, Reiwoldt with an eye.
Meanwhile suns bring in Abblett and May.
Lock in a loss for this one.
-
Replace our only
Tall fwd with another small, we're taking the pee surely :lol
-
Surprised no Lennon or even Lloyd to cover Jack .
This will be entertaining .
-
According to RFC website...
Out:
Prestia (knee/calf soreness)
Jack (eye)
Short (omitted)
In:
Miles
Bolton
Houli
Personally I'm shocked that Short has been omitted. Has been one of my favourite players this year. And a forward line with no talls at all?
-
With JR out Moore and Elton should have both been named.
Not sure why people are surprised with Shorts omission his last two have been awful.
Would also like to see some reward for Townsend and Miles.
-
well our i50 delivery will have to be pinpoint to get any marks in there.
-
Broad to to play somewhat tall in forward half ? or Mcintosh ? surely
-
He's a trailblazer is our coach..... :clapping :gotigers :clapping
-
Caddy and Nank will play predominately forward you'd think.
-
we must be the first team in a long time to not name a key forward ? 2 ruckmen, one not afl level. maybe nank will kick 5 being the main target up forward !
-
Elton surely must come in late and what does Townsend need to do?
-
I think GC's best defenders are their talls. Think they might struggle to contain the flee brigade...
At least I certainly hope so...

Short has been solid. Did some nice things last week

All depends on our i50 entry. If we just bomb it in they will mark everything
-
Poor Brayden 😣
-
Lambert named at FF. Elton listed as an emergency.

Just trying work out the changes

-
I think we could see Broad playing forward? been doing that in the vfl and doing well.Good size to at 192 cm
-
The prefect week to bring in Lennon imo.
Plonk him at FF and see what he can do.
I'm not sure if anyone has thought of this but if we lead at the player with the footy that may work??
I think we may lose this one and I would have a bet but GC are only paying $2:50
-
Agree Lennon should have come in at least emergency. How is Lloyd first emergency gifted 6 games did bugger all :banghead. Even Menadue got to fit this kid in.
-
Who is may going to pay on lmfao
-
Not sure why people are surprised with Shorts omission his last two have been awful.
I'd like to say I'm surprised because match committee seems to give some players a really long crack at it to get it right, but then I remember that's just their favourites
-
TBH Jacks main work has been team related and not about kicking goals.
Happy to see how this structure goes
-
What horrible changes!
Why wouldn't you play Lennon or Elton or Moore?
Going to be slippery conditions and need tall targets to go to to at least bring the ball to ground!
We are no certainties to make finals!

I think it's meant to be perfect conditions. I don't like the changes but I have the feeling we will pull this one out of our arse.

We are in BIG trouble peoples

Caddy at 0.8 goals per game and Nank at 0.3, what a powerhouse 1.1 goal forward line :lol

Most unwanted person at Richmond at the moment- it's a close call between Ben Lennon and George Pell
-
I weighed it up, i decided that at least Lennon hasn't been accused of molestation so he gets to stay
-
No yablett
yes there is
Not 100% certain if Ablett or May will play.

You said that last week after we replaced one fringe player with another fringe player .

Death threats?!
-
Yep.
-
Is that a FACT?
-

You said that last week after we replaced one fringe player with another fringe player .
No, i said we may have lost it at the selection table bringing in an outside player for miles
In this instance, heading into a game without a single key fwd is unchartered territory. I think we could be in big trouble posting a winning score and diluting other areas of the team to pull together a make-shift fwd line which may not work.
-
On the flip side - the unpredictability going forward could work in our favor . The Gold Coast defense wouldn't have a clue where the ball is going.
-

Yes Julz I am coming up and my youngest niece is coming to the game as well

I will only make one comment on this and that will be it.
let me make this very clear
Very aware of the abuse, trolling and baiting of the poster in question on the forum but death threats = can categorically say nothing was ever said to us about threats of any kind. If it had been and proof was provided then the person making the threats would have been banned without hesitation from this forum permanently . End of story
However, we didn't receive one word for anyone....today is the first time we've heard of it
We have said this so many times it isn't funny... if you have a problem with any poster then tell us (hello report to moderator function)and we will deal with it. Things as serious as threats don't get ignored. We have banned people for this type behaviour in the past so don't think we do nothing.
But again for the umpteenth time... we can't do anything if we don't know :banghead
That's all
Now stick to the topic >:(

It could but that depends on the method and type of F50 entry. We have struggled with I50 accuracy in the past.

May help if they dont give it to grigg to send into the F50

Jackstar's sitting in Aisle 102 if anyone wants to meet him for a drink

Astbury

Fwd line has hardly worked all yr. Even last week we scored just 10 goals. Every team we play knows kick 12 or more and your likely to win.
We kick so few because of the number of smalls end of story.

Yeah Claw ask the dogs who won a flag with a small forward line and no gun big forwards only talls pinch hitting up there.
-
News off Twitter from fans at training is Dusty left the track early.
Could be another out????

The last training session of the week is usual a light one. Ch 7 news tonight said Dusty is expected to play.

Just don't get complacent. Always dew on the ground up here. Need to smash the Suns and smash them hard

We were saying the same thing about Lids after an awesome run for 10 years. Poor bastard
-
I think we could lose this game
-
Up to our mids tonight to provide enough supply for us to kick a winning score and lower their eyes to pick out our small forwards. We also need good games from both Nank and Soldo especially when they are each 'resting' up forward. They at least need to contest and bring the ball down to our smalls.
Also got a feeling Dusty will spend a lot of time tonight up forward with Dimma trying to isolate him in our F50. Have our quick smalls higher up so they can turn and sprint on goal.
Kicking straight is of course a must tonight. We can't afford to waste our chances.
-

It will be interesting to see what we try.
Agree that our small forwards might play higher up tonight.
I can see Dusty playing nearly the whole game in the middle, tasked with running the ball to 50 and taking a ping.
I can also see the possibility Lambert might actually play mainly as a deep forward, which might mean a run with role for someone on Ablett. I am thinking maybe McIntosh. No, I have not been drinking.
-
Ablett out!

Ablett out!
That's 40 less possies for the Suns :yep.

I'm guessing with Ablett out, Lambert now tags someone like Rischitelli.

Massive blow to GC, frees up our options.

Definitely. We've just got to make sure we aren't complacent (a la Saints game or 1st quarter last week). A forward line containing Lynch, Wright and Jack Martin could still hurt us on the scoreboard if our mids aren't switched on and allow the Suns too many open inside F50s even without Ablett playing.

Bit risky to share that with the info that has come to light tonight :lol
