Mini-me missed out on tickets to the Freo game as Freo aren't releasing anymore seats according to the club. Does anyone know if you just rock up on the day and get GA seats? Otherwise it's $54 just for a concession and she's a poor uni student (am happy to pay for her but not her Weagles boyfriend as well)
-
Never mind all that, where's our free game?

Going . Corporate box . Gonna be awesome.

Yes , in a coincidence- I actually attended the last ever AFL game held at the WACA back in 2000 too.
The new stadium looks sensational Dooks , I get a weekly look at it as my local parkrun is just a stone throw away . The footbridge over the swan river is being built as we speak .
Exciting times .

I'm going over
We have tickets but I wasn't in charge of getting these ones; so I have no idea where we are sitting at the moment :rollin

If we can't beat Freo then we may as well turn to youth completely.... :whistle

Match preview: Fremantle v Richmond
afl.com.au
14 August 2017
SUMMARY
This will be the Dockers' final game at Domain Stadium before moving to new digs at Perth Stadium and they will surely get themselves up for a vastly-improved effort following last round's horrible 104-point loss to Sydney. Freo was shockingly uncompetitive in the opening quarter and Ross Lyon suffered his biggest defeat as senior coach. The Dockers have lost nine of their past 11 and are limping home, but the long-awaited debut of injury-plagued star Harley Bennell could give them a lift. The Tigers were disappointing at Geelong last Saturday and could need to win their final two games to hold the rampant Swans or Port Adelaide from snatching their top-four spot. Richmond has a strong record in Perth recently, and will be searching for a fifth win from six visits. If it transpires, the midfield battle between raging Brownlow Medal favourite Dustin Martin and 2015 winner Nat Fyfe could be worth the price of admission alone.
WHERE AND WHEN: Domain Stadium, Sunday, August 20, 2.40pm AWST
LAST FIVE TIMES
R8, 2017, Fremantle 10.12 (72) d Richmond 10.10 (70) at the MCG
R9, 2016, Richmond 11.17 (83) d Fremantle 6.9 (45) at Domain Stadium
R17, 2015, Fremantle 12.10 (82) d Richmond 10.18 (78) at the MCG
R10, 2015, Richmond 15.7 (97) d Fremantle 10.10 (70) at Domain Stadium
R13, 2014, Fremantle 16.9 (105) d Richmond 12.13 (85) at the MCG
THE SIX POINTS
1. This will be Fremantle's final game at Domain Stadium, where the club has notched 152 wins and 112 losses. Richmond has played at the venue 34 times for 11 wins, including four of their last five.
2. The Tigers will want revenge for a heartbreaking loss in round eight. The Dockers led by 30 points at three-quarter time in round eight at the MCG before Richmond hit the front, but David Mundy's goal after the final siren got Freo home.
3. Fremantle and Richmond meet for the 35th time, and the Tigers hold a narrow advantage winning 18 games to 16. Since 2013 it's four wins to three in the Dockers' favour.
4. The Dockers' 104-point loss to Sydney was Ross Lyon's heaviest defeat in 260 games as a senior coach. Since round 10, Freo has lost nine of 11 matches, averaging only 67 points per game.
5. Richmond's defence has stood tall this season and averages only 77 points against per game (AFL No.2). The Tigers have allowed 100 points in a game only twice.
6. The midfield battle should be a cracker. Richmond stars Dustin Martin (second overall in the Schick AFL Player Ratings) and Trent Cotchin (15th) going head-to-head with Lachie Neale (11th) and Nat Fyfe (67th) could be pivotal to the outcome.
IT'S A BIG WEEK FOR … Ross Lyon
The Dockers coach has been in the news after forcefully denying he approached Collingwood about taking over from Nathan Buckley. His focus now will be on getting a significant lift out of his young group to send off Domain Stadium in style.
PREDICTION: Richmond by 23 points

FREMANTLE are preparing to unleash Harley Bennell for his long-awaited club debut in Sunday’s clash with Richmond at Domain Stadium.
Dockers officials are understood to have earmarked the game against the Tigers as the best remaining fixture for the 24-year-old to make his AFL comeback.
Bennell’s return looms as the Dockers consider ruling out reigning Doig medallist and prolific ball winner Lachie Neale for the rest of the season.
It is understood Neale has been playing sore for up to five weeks and has struggled to train fully.

-
yessssssss Harley Bennell
How typical his comeback game against us
We should still win but stuff doesn't look good so far

Ellis poo himself then because he thought he was going to be tackled. Took his eyes off the footy to see who was coming.

Ellis has the fumbles

11.2-68 = looks like we've actually done some proper goalkicking practice for once this week.
-
Lambert pushing for a top 5 finish in our B&F.
Richmond lead the ground ball gets (61-48) and their small forwards have been the benefactor. Both Jacob Townsend and Kane Lambert have 3 goals with 4 of these goals coming from open play.
The Tigers Trio of Martin, Grigg and Ellis have been extremely influential. They have combined for 50 disposals, 6 clearances and have all had 2 score involvements.
In this quarter, Richmond is winning the ball on the outside, leading the uncontested possessions (42-12) and their kicking efficiency percentage is greater (67-18).

Richmond have a 45 point lead on the back off an extraordinarily efficient 2nd quarter. From just 3 extra intercepts and 9 inside 50's, they launched 7 more goals than the Dockers from turnovers.

Richmond have been twice as efficient by footy in the forward 50 zone with a kicking efficiency of (65-33) per cent.
Since quarter time, the Tigers have won the clearances (14-11) and have generated 2.2.14 to the Dockers 0.2.2.

We're not use to being this far in front ;D. We could even win by 10 goals :whistle ;).

The Tigers have now generated 9 goals from 18 intercepts in the forward half; a conversion rate of 50 per cent. The Dockers have converted just 8 per cent of forward half intercepts.

Re: Townsend. One out of the box, but just shows to me how inportant it is to have a strong magoos team with conpetition for spots. Great to see a guy who has been demanding a spot all year get his chance and take it with both hands.

Yep he has been playing great footy all year. He has certainly improved and he is not the player he was 2 years ago. Well done :cheers

Had a fantastic afternoon and it was great to win by over 100 .
It was against really pathetic opposition though. Really pathetic.
Looking forward to watching the reply.

Top-four Tigers don't have to rely only on the 'Big Four' in September
There was a time when stopping Trent Cotchin, Dustin Martin, Alex Rance and Jack Riewoldt left the Tigers toothless, but not anymore - and that's why Richmond fans should attend finals in their droves in anticipation of a first September victory since 2001.
In a danger game against Fremantle on Sunday afternoon, Richmond was immediately on the back foot against a rampant Dockers outfit intent on sending off Domain Stadium in style. Between them, the 'Big Four' had just 13 possessions, and the Tigers of old might have folded. However, Brandon Ellis (12) and unlikely goalkicker Jacob Townsend (two) kept the Tiges in touch, trailing by only four points at quarter-time.
Then in a stunning eight-goal blitzkrieg in the second term, it was Shaun Grigg (13 disposals) and Kane Lambert (three goals) who exploded, with fleet-footed small forward Dan Butler, Shane Edwards and Kamdyn McIntosh also hitting the scoreboard, while David Astbury was rock-solid in defence. Martin and Cotchin lifted, Rance was solid and Riewoldt did some handy team things despite only having three touches for the half, but it was Richmond's lesser lights who led the charge.
They are some of the players Damien Hardwick needs to shine in September if he is to notch his first finals win.

As impressive as that performance was it will mean stuff all if we can't beat the aints next week in front of 75-80k and blow our top 4 chance finishing 6th.

Could go further into the finals finishing 6th as opposed to 4th :shh
All jokes aside if we don't win by 6 goals we're not doing anything come finals time.

freo got out of the blocks and bought a high pressure brand to stsrt with. But that was where it stopped it really was like playing against witches hats after q time..
We have all seen what happens when sides play high pressure for 4 quarters against us we invariably lose. St Klda did that what 6 7 weeks ago be interesting to see how next week unfolds.

Something tells me our boys will be much better prepared this time mentally. They know what's at stake and what can happen if they're caught napping.

I would have thought most sides struggle to win if the opposition puts in 4 quarters of pressure.....

And yet we were those witches hats against the Saints. It will be interesting to see how the SAINTS go when we dish up the type of pressure we not only produced against Freo for 3 qtrs but against the Hawks and GWS a few weeks ago Claw.
