For now yes, only because the tackling pressure is slowly coming back. And he is one our best tackler

Though I wouldn't be surprised if he made way for Astbury

Astbury back will be interesting. No way you drop Balta. I think our backline is tall enough already...

Dimma post-game said CCJ is in the mix.

Didn’t hear that. He only mentioned Cotch, Stack and RCD

Not sure how anyone can make a case for Rioli not being dropped??

Been our worst player all year.

I agree with you

But...

He still seems to be a favourite and right now with our injuries he won't get dropped.

And before people jump on me, yes he was dropped earlier in the year and came straight back in after what was it 1 week

Not sure Rioli is a high half forward. Doesn’t have the physicality, marking or ball winning ability to play that role. His best chance is closer to goal.

Rioli has been seriously disappointing ever since the foot injury. Just not that good

Has gone backwards since 2017 grand final. Im disappointed in him. He can do much better.

Let's hope Dimma has learnt from last year and not go small to match up on the Dogs. You need to play tall. That's why Carlton beats them.

In: Cotch, Dow
Out: Naish, Rioli

Given all our injuries there's going to be few changes and blokes getting games that wouldn't in normal circumstances.

Pretty sure he was our top tackler....though agree that his numbers were unacceptable for an on-baller.... :shh

Ch7 in the lead up to Friday night said Rioli looked sore at training. So his ordinary form may be due to playing sore. A four day turnaround isn't going to help with that. He needs a rest in any case.

Balta takes Bruce
Grimes takes Bont when playing forward
McIntosh takes Macrea if he plays on the wing
Castagna tags Wood

I would also bring in Markov (missed him in my above post) for either Aarts or Egg.
Note: they have been good but we need to rotate and find our best 22 in the coming weeks.

Jack said RCD is in the greater squad this week. Expects him to get a go during this next batch of games.

Who for the Dogs will have their break out game against us this week?
It's about time one of our players turned it on, hopefully a forward.
