SNAPSHOT: “One of the quickest players in the draft pool, Clarke is hard to catch once he gets going, and his surge style of play and nous around goal make him a desirable player for the modern game.”
Clubs like Richmond and Melbourne have had recent success in the AFL with their surge tactics and once they form in full motion, they are hard to stop. Not many players in this draft pool showcase the surge style like Judson Clarke, who knows one way - and that is to attack at all costs. Clarke spent most of his time playing NAB League with Dandenong Stingrays and AGSV football with school Yarra Valley Grammar, excelling in both competitions as a dangerous forward who could also roll through the midfield. Clarke shows some comparisons to Carlton’s Zac Fisher as an elusive left-footer and looks set to be taken in a similar draft range to Fisher, who went at pick 27 in 2016.
STRENGTHS:
+ Speed
+ Agility
+ Goal sense
+ Clean hands
+ Run and carry
+ Smarts
IMPROVEMENTS:
- Contested Game
- Tackling
Clarke played all three games for Vic Country back in 2019’s Under 16 championships, headlined by a three-goal game against carnival winners, Vic Metro which showed he was a player to keep an eye on. Unfortunately, he would suffer a serious knee injury afterwards and with no games to play in 2020, Clarke didn't have the most ideal preparation coming into 2021. Nonetheless, his form this year was stellar, averaging almost 18 disposals in five NAB League games - impressive numbers for a small forward which were assisted by some stints on the wing and in midfield. His standout games included a 27-disposal and one-goal game against Eastern Ranges on a cold night in Frankston, and a five-goal game in a Vic Country vs Vic Metro trial match which put Clarke’s name in lights. In the latter outing, he showcased his ability to tear a game apart if given any sort of freedom.
If his preseason agility test time of 7.99 seconds wasn’t a dead giveaway, to say Clarke is quick is an understatement. Clarke uses it as well at every opportunity he can and will move the ball quickly, whether its carrying it under his arm and having a dash or quickly firing a handball forward to maintain momentum for his side. Clarke is certainly a metres gained style of player and if you're looking for a similar statistical output in the AFL, look no further than the likes of Fisher and Shai Bolton. Clarke plays with flair and excitement and with his speed and agility, can quickly carry the ball 100m in one play as he likes got push up the ground as a forward and work his way back down with a surge mentality.
Clarke’s balance and clean hands make for another good combination that is easy to miss. He is often able to run full tilt and then move sideways so naturally, which can catch out even the fastest players. He also rarely slips over and just refuses to lose his feet in a contest, which helps him keep involved. Clarke will very rarely fumble, taking the ball cleanly at every opportunity so if he goes for the ball and gets a clean run at it, he is collecting and escaping quicker than a hiccup. Those clean hands also feature in his marking and although he isn't a high leaping type of marker, he is clean overhead and reads the ball well in flight. Despite his light frame, he can also showcase nice bodywork. Another string to Clarke's bow is his finishing around goal, kicking well with drop punts and snaps and like many good small forwards, he knows when to pop up at the right moments to best get those scoring opportunities.
With his light frame you wouldn’t expect Clarke to have a strong contested game, but it is still an area of improvement as he will often let bigger players take first possession and wait on the outskirts. Although he can go in well when it's his turn, he could do it more often. The light frame also works against Clarke with his tackling, where he is often brushed aside despite giving good effort and pressure as a forward. Some upper body work and an improved tackling technique should certainly help round out his game as a modern small forward. A slight nitpick would also be Clarke's use of the long kick and although you can see he wants to gain as much meterage as possible, there are times when the short option is the best available, which he will overlook. Despite that, he is a smart young player and it is something that could be easily ironed out in an AFL environment.
DRAFT PROJECTION: Second Round
SUMMARY:
There aren't many more exciting small forwards in the draft as Judson Clarke with his eye-catching speed and goal sense, and there wouldn’t be many other forwards who better fit the style that modern football is heading in. Clarke’s draft range will be interesting to see and if his game can translate to the elite level, he could be a top notch small forward in the AFL for the next 10 years. He could just as easily make a home on the wing or even off half-back as a rebound defender if a club saw that as an option. If Clarke was able to cause havoc in the NAB League finals and the National Championships had they not been cut short, who knows how high he could have risen.

THink of it this way, the new netball style rules we have will suit fast, agile light players as there is barely any contact and you have to stand still and not frighten each other when they have the ball.

He's certainly fast and beautiful left foot.

he is at that, that speed is insane.

After seeing we've drafted with the new rules in mind Snott and the AFL will now scrap them.... :shh

Welcome to Tigerland, Judson Clarke
Richmond has used its fifth selection (No. 30 overall) in the 2021 national draft to recruit Dandenong Stingrays midfielder/forward Judson Clarke.
(https://resources.richmondfc.com.au/photo-resources/2021/11/25/f6fba547-c954-4585-b8a7-9b7c703ddb96/257276618_1640692932940104_275614697869234498_n.png?width=952&height=592)
Recruited from: Dandenong Stingrays
Position: Midfielder/forward
Height: 179cm
Weight: 69kg
DOB: 17/10/03
What the Richmond recruiters say about Clarke...
Judson is an outside midfielder/dangerous forward from the Dandenong Stingrays with a powerful running capacity.
In 2021, he bounced back from an ACL injury-affected 2020, averaging 18 disposals and four inside-50s at NAB League level this season.
However, it was his dominant 22-disposal, five-goal performance for Vic Country in the first Country/Metro trial where Judson’s running power, excellent lateral movement and finishing skills were on full display, and he consequentially rocketed up draft boards around the country.
Judson can run all day and he loves to keep the game moving, create scoring opportunities with his long-raking left foot.
Richmond forwards will certainly take delight in seeing Judson with ball-in-hand up the ground, knowing they will get excellent service inside-50, and Richmond fans can do the same, knowing that he’ll generate plenty of excitement on the expanses of the MCG.

His highlights look good. Serious pace.
-
Dandenong Stingrays coach Nick Cox was an extremely keen observer when Vic Country and Vic Metro met in an under-19s trial match in late June at Werribee.
What attracted Cox’s attention the most in that clash of the cream of Victoria’s young football talent, was the form of one of his Stingray charges – lightning-fast, left-foot, small forward Judson Clarke.
Clarke had 22 disposals, took nine marks and kicked five goals for Vic Country in an electrifying performance that highlighted his considerable football talent.
“He was one of the best players on the ground . . ,” Cox said.
“He started well, and I could see his confidence rising.
“He pinched into the midfield after half-time and gave some really explosive looks with his run and carry.
“I always think in those games, boys who can get an opportunity to bounce the footy and take metres, tend to stand out.
“Judson did that. He made really good decisions, kicked a couple goals on the run from 45, 50 metres. Gee he was good.’’
Cox believes Clarke is well-equipped to go on and have a successful playing career at Tigerland.
“His agility is top notch, his ability to use the ball and hurt teams with his kicking (as well),” Cox said.
“He has pure pace, too. He adds another dynamic with his pace.
“He has been touted as a small forward, but he can pinch-hit in the midfield, which he’s worked really hard on.
“There are a few assets, not just one. That’s the pleasing thing for Judson.”

Judson Clarke will be groomed as a linking-up, high-forward/midfielder according to national recruiting manager Matt Clarke.
“We see him in Kane Lambert’s role long term,” Clarke said.
“He’s that linking-up, high-forward/midfield player who can run and use the ball pretty well.
“He’s quick. He’s got really fast feet . . . really good laterally to get in and out.
“I think “Lambo” (Kane Lambert) can teach him a lot of things about how to actually run those patterns.
“We’re really excited about him.”

Has to be a better small fwd option than Aarts and Castagna. Must be about the place for a game first round if he has a good preseason.

I know this is anathema talking about the son of a favorite son but i thought he was miles off it last year and for me hes a real wait and see.
Reckon Sonsie is a better chance and imo a better option.
Clarke also imo would not need to do a hell of a lot to go past junior atm.

Don't expect much from Sonsie next year despite his talent. The Club will allow him time to get his body right and up to the level to handle the rigours of AFL senior footy. He has had leg issues over the past 18 months in his junior years.
Clarke reminds me of a young Nathan Brown. Not only the position he plays but the way he holds the footy and his left foot kicking style is uncannily similar. However, size wise there isn't much of him. I'd be surprised if he plays much senior footy next year unless our season has turned to pot and we decide to play the cubs.
Going by preseason training so far, MRJ's endurance is improving (he at least is finishing mid-group in the shuttles) but he has to improve his passing once he gets away from near the goals and needs to hit up a teammate by foot. No point winning a turnover chasing and tackling upfield only to give it back to the opposition.

Clarke reminds me of a young Nathan Brown.
Dimma said the same thing tonight in his AGM address :thumbsup.
-
"Judson’s a young Kane Lambert that we really, really enjoy. He’s going to be a little bit of a slower burn. He’s obviously young in stature, but he’s going to be an incredible player, I think, over a period of time. Great running capacity, he understands the game really well. Sleeps with the footy, which is always a good sign."

Judson Clarke to make senior debut
By Richmond Media - Just now
Judson Clarke will make his senior debut in Thursday night's Round 13 match against Port Adelaide at the MCG.
The 18-year-old high half-forward/midfielder was taken with Richmond's fifth pick - 30th overall - in the 2021 NAB AFL Draft from Yarra Valley Grammar via the Dandenong Stingrays.
The left-footed Clarke has shone recently at reserve level with his disposal linking midfield and attack drawing praise from Richmond VFL coach Steve Morris.
"His ball-use just stands out at this level and he continues to play his role diligently which holds him in good stead going forward," Morris said of Clarke following Richmond VFL's close loss to Sydney before the bye.
Clarke has averaged 14.3 disposals per game across nine VFL matches in 2022, and booted 11 goals, including a season-high haul of four against Footscray in Round 3.

No doubt Juddy has natural talent as well as speed to burn but I'm surprised he's got a senior game. He's still light on size wise and inconsistent and can have games even in the VFL where he hardly touches the ball. It's a big call by Dimma and the MC especially if he replaces Maurice. He will either hardly touch it tomorrow night and have people questioning his selection or he'll kick 3 goals with the commentators raving about him and he'll win the rising star nomination for the week.

‘Red wine’s everywhere’: Rookie’s family go nuts at debut double
Tigers debutant Judson Clarke has had a stunning start to his AFL career after brilliant first quarter double put him in rare company.
Andrew McMurtry
news.com.au
June 10, 2022
The Richmond Tigers have unearthed another star as 18-year-old wunderkind Judson Clarke booted two goals with his first two kicks in the AFL in the side’s 11.11 (77) to 10.5 (65) win over Port Adelaide.
The left-footed small forward was nabbed with pick 30 of the 2021 AFL Draft and did not have to wait long to land his first AFL major.
The Tigers had gone down by two goals early before fighting back, kicking six straight, including two for Clarke.
With 10 minutes left in the first term, Clarke was taken high and had his first set shot from about 40 out, sending his family into hysterics.
“You can’t help but smile and be excited,” Hamish McLachlan said in commentary.
“I feel really good for him. Got the handball away, I was pleased he did, then suddenly 15 seconds later, his first goal in AFL football. Brilliant stuff.”
Clarke had reportedly received 30 tickets for his debut and his family were going nuts.
Five minutes later, Dustin Martin put in a perfectly weighted kick as the youngster set up — and kicked — his second.
His family again went up, and it appears as though his nan may have sprayed the area in wine as she celebrated the score.
“Red wine’s gone everywhere – everyone is excited,” McLachlan said. “Kicked two goals, got Dustin Martin’s arm around him … life’s OK!”
While he was no Clen Denning, who had six goals with his first six kicks back in 1935, it was a dream debut for the teenager.
He joined a select group of 41 players who have kicked multiple goals with their first kicks and the first since Sam Weideman in 2016.
At quarter time, Hawks legend Jason Dunstall
“This young man is now two for two and there’s something about left footers, they just look like they’re really good kicks,” he said. “He had a hand pass and a couple of kicks for a couple of goals and there’s every reason to be excited.
Clarke’s dad Jarrod spoke on the ABC of the nerves as the rookie lines up the shot and said: “He’s a pretty good kick, so I knew he was going to kick it.”
Fans were happy for the teenager to get his career off to the perfect start.

You can see the class is there in this kid.
Yep, I strongly believe talent finds a way regardless of age. This is why I am confident that guy's like Miller, Nyuon, RCD, Martyn, Cumberland etc will all amount to nothing or at best C grade role players who can do one thing only.
Given that our tall stocks aren't great there's an argument to keep Miller and Nyuon but the rest can be cut loose.
-
Of that list only Miller is worth keeping.
-
Juddy Clarke copying and learning off Lambert.
Getting the win on debut
“Definitely was a slog, tough fight, but super-stoked to get away with the four points in the end . . . just over the moon.”
Lining up for the set shot to kick his first goal
“I was just trying to stay confident within myself. Don’t want to over-think it too much. It’s just another game. That’s all I was trying to put through my head. So, I didn’t want to over-complicate things . . . Just happy with the way it landed. It was pretty special, all the boys getting around me. I don’t think there’s any other feeling quite like it. Pretty surreal. It’s a moment you dream about as a kid and for it to finally come true is just amazing.”
The transition from VFL to AFL football
“It’s definitely another level up. The game moves a lot faster. I think I was a little bit slow into it at the start, but as the game rolled on I kind of got used to it and got to that speed level.”
Support from his teammates
“It was unreal. Everyone was so encouraging, even if I made a mistake, like when I kicked that one out on the full. Jack Riewoldt was just talking to me, saying it’s alright, which helped me move on from it really quickly and then get back into what I needed to do next.”
Following Kane Lambert’s lead
“I just try to follow behind him . . . Trying to get my professionalism and work-rate up there with his.”

Hard work driving emerging Tiger
By Tate Spiteri
Richmond Media
2 February 2023
Judson Clarke wants the ball in his hands.
At home, training, and most notably, when the game is on the line.
"I always had a footy in my hand growing up; I still have them in my room, on my bed, and everywhere really, ready to pick up," Clarke explained.
So it is no surprise that the exciting youngster has already shown Richmond fans his silky finishing ability, offering a glimpse of the future in his three senior AFL matches last year.
The left-footer popped up with a crucial goal in the fourth term against eventual premiers Geelong at a heaving MCG in Round 15, and also, with all eyes on him, made no mistake from consecutive first-quarter set shots, as he debuted in front of Friday night lights a fortnight earlier.
Off-Broadway at VFL level, with the Tigers needing to win their Round 22 clash against Frankston to be a chance at a finals berth, Clarke's third goal from 19 disposals was a miraculous match-winner from the boundary line.
"Without pressure, I know I am a good kick at goal, so even if I am under pressure, I just need to carry the same process out," the youngster told Richmond Media.
"I like feeling that pressure and am confident in my skills and execution - so if the game was on the line, I'd love that situation."
Such finishing ability is no fluke for Clarke, with the youngster's innate love for football helping him to develop an excellent self-driven work rate.
"I love getting in and training every day; it makes me feel good and has been how I have lived my life from a very young age,” he said.
"Ever since I can remember, it has been my dream to play AFL footy; I basically live and breathe it and am always at the Club."
Clarke said his high work rate developed through his junior football days stemmed from the same simple desire - to touch the football.
"Running was a way for me to get more of the ball at training (because) I just could not be waiting on the back of the cone," he said.
"I did it to get my touch up, but I think that ended up teaching me to work hard because that is how you improve ultimately."
The 19-year-old was speaking to Richmond Media from Apollo Bay and his second pre-season camp, where he was continuing to lay claims for senior selection come the start of the season.
"I definitely set goals because it's something to look forward to," he said.
"Mine are to play as many (AFL) games as I can, and hopefully more than last year (three). Every week I will be working at it week-by-week and trusting that process."
Clarke hopes that Richmond fans learn to appreciate him “as a player that excites them” and will continue to work on his forward craft while also developing other aspects of his game on the training track.
"I have definitely been working hard on a forward role and also expanding my game to give me more versatility for the coaches to give them confidence I can do the job in multiple spots," he said.
"Kane (Lambert) has been a huge help, I see him every day, and there is nothing I can't ask him, and he is always there - he is unreal.
"Other young boys too, like Sam Banks, Maurice (Rioli Junior), and Jase (Castagna) as well, I lean into them and their knowledge of their own roles (to help me)."
Clarke who has committed to the Club until the end of 2025, added that being drafted among a crop of five had been beneficial for him.
“The bond and relationship that we all share is pretty good, and I am really excited that the other four boys I was drafted with have signed on until 2025 as well,” he said.
“I am really excited that our journey will continue to go through (together) and am really glad it has happened like that.”

Does Clarke play round 1 on a wing if Pickett doesn't come up?
Juddy's stats today:
14 disposals (8k, 6h, 4c, 9u, 71.4% eff.)
2 marks
0 tackles
4 inside 50s
336 metres gained
3 intercepts
3 score involvements
79% game time
-
My only worry with playing the likes of Hugo and Clarke on the wing is how it will open us up defensively. We struggle enough with that as it is and for all their faults Kmac and Pickett do their fair share of defensive work. Skill wise I’ve always thought our wingers could be improved on and I like both boys in that sense, especially juddy clarke. I just haven’t seen enough evidence that either can lock in defensively.
We really need to commit to our next wingers to take over from kmac and Pickett and play and train them in that position all season.

"Judson will be a better player at AFL level. Bigger grounds and the structure and system works better at a AFL system. He's a player that we really don't measure his output on stats. We measure it on performance and patterns. We really like what this kid does. We think he's going to be a long-term AFL player for us. Good news, Juddy Clarke is in.
This is exactly why these injuries at this time of year may be the best thing for us, could uncover a star here

I hope I’m wrong but does anyone else get Fiora vibes from this kid?
-
I think he will be OK worth playing.
-
I think the kid will be very very good. Moves well, tries to hit the leading forward instead of just bombing it. Missed a few targets today, but the choices were right, just lacked execution.
-

Needs to put on a bit of weight and hit his targets. His first two kicks into F50 were shocking.
-

Aside from being a left footer I see no comparison whatsoever.

Yeah, his 3 passes straight to the Dogs players were costly but there is helluva lot of upside

Keeper.
Should be in the side ahead of plenty.
-
Yep agree Andyy. Decent game from the kid biggest issue is getting some size and strength into him which will happen.
-
Liked his game. Keep playing him in the 22.
-
Best I’ve seen him play. Some really positive signs from him today. Well done young man
-
Nice clutch goal. Lovely kick inside 50 at one stage. My impressions were good skills and stepped up. Tackled hard too.
-
Has some class about him. Persist.
-
His kicking the majority of the time is elite
-
Criticism's been as hilarious as it's been clueless. Kid could always play and will if you just let him. :shh

Tigers’ giant win
Finally, Richmond won a close one. And, yes, Jack Riewoldt kicked five, but this game was pleasingly not all about veterans.
Tiger Judson Clarke kicked two of the critical goals at the end, but also laid the important tackle late in the third quarter that ensured the Tigers kept their lead at the last break.

Need that sort of ball use just hope we can get a bit of muscle on his frame. Because of his size atm quite games should be expected.

Judson Clarke will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a cracked scapula in the VFL on Saturday.

One would hope you're being sarcastic
Because it's a nasty break and you could see how much pain he was in
Poor kid

Oh what a wasted year. Too late to get games into him now even if there is only a few left.
-
Yep a shame.
Thought he was one of the positives of the year. Should have got more games

Should've been played ahead of K-Hack and Machine Man. :shh

Question has to be asked though, why did he come back on ?

Well that sucks. Was hoping he’d cement a spot in the 22 this season.

Gez it gets worse and worse. Who made the decision to send him on. Is the vfl and seniors conditioning and fitness doctors al related or different.

There are separate doctors and fitness for our VFL program
All of our AFL medical and S&C were landing in Perth when this happened
Unforgivable that he was sent back on

Taking a pot shot at Meehan is one thing
Reckon Benny Gale deserves a bit more respect than someone saying he “probably doesn’t give a stuff anymore”.
I believe he would be giving 100% and I’m 110% certain he still cares

I dont share your view Damo, but thats me.
How is he any different to Dusty. Both have served us well and both are leaving or finished.
Do you think he is as invested now as he was 5 years ago? I dont. That goes for a few more as well. :shh

Oh well on the brightside - that's at least two MSD picks we'll have now.... and they'll be early ones as well.... :shh

From Jon Ralph on X (formerly Twitter)
Richmond believes Judson Clarke tore his ACL after he returned to the ground in the VFL. He had come back onto the field with knee heavily strapped yet with ACL intact after testing. He then tore it, presumably as he slipped kicking a long goal
And
The boundary line testing for ACL integrity is usually 90 per cent accurate. So the club will never know but clearly if they had any hint he might have torn his ACL he wouldn't have come back onto the field

You are aware that Meehan was nowhere near the VFL game on Saturday either were our AFL doctors?
The people who assessed and then sent Clarke back out are those hired under a VFL program. They don't work with "Meehan and his crew"
So again pot those at fault not those you want to blame to somehow justify your argument
-
With Meehan being in the position he's in, is it not possible he was part of the process of hiring these people for the VFL program?
Sack Meehan :D

Richmond under fire after Judson Clarke plays on with ACL tear as injury crisis deepens
Furious fans are calling for the whole department to be sacked as the injury crisis deepens.
Ben Sutton

16 April 2024
Questions are being asked of Richmond’s medical team after young gun Judson Clarke was sent back onto the field during a VFL game despite suffering a serious knee injury.
Clarke will miss the remainder of the season after scans confirmed he ruptured the graft in his right ACL during Sunday’s clash against Werribee.
It was the same ACL the 20-year-old injured in 2019.
Clarke hobbled off early on during the loss to Werribee, but had his knee strapped and returned to the field.
He then managed to kick a long goal during the third term before limping off in significant pain.
Fans couldn’t believe Clarke was allowed back onto the field.
“Club needs to release a statement about the standard of care provided to Judson Clarke,” one fan said.
“You just have to laugh at this point, why send him back out there?” another added.
“I was sure that we wouldn’t send him back on after he originally came off,” another said.
“The whole physical performance department needs to be cleaned out. We went from the best to the worst in that area in 12 months,” another said.
Clarke has played 17 AFL games, including one this year, and would have been in line for a return to the senior team as the club deals with a significant injury crisis.
“We are all feeling for Judson, who works so hard behind the scenes, to give himself the best chance to perform,” Richmond GM of performance Tim Livingstone said.
“Unfortunately, Judson injured his knee yesterday in the VFL game at Werribee.
“Our club will support Judson to return fitter and stronger next season. We know he will attack his rehab with great energy and commitment.”

Judson Clarke has done his ACL for the second time on the same knee. Is that right?
If this is true what are the chances he makes a complete recovery? I'm ready to rule him out now as a player for our future.
That draft isn't looking great for us. Brown the only success as far as i can see.

My understanding is that it doesn't really matter.
You can keep having repeated traditional ACL repair with hamstring muscle woven into a rope, then pulled through a drilled hole through the knee. The muscle dies but becomes a ladder for scar tissue to grow onto, which is why players shouldn't be rushed back too soon - it takes time for the scar tissue to form and harden.
Some players are just more likely to rupture an ACL depending on various factors such as their joint mobility. Having hyper mobile joints might make you seem flexible but it can add additional strain to muscles, tendons and ligaments.

Yes, 1st time was 2019
-
Max Gawn has had 2 reco’s and he’s still going ok 10 years later
-
Max Gawn has had 2 reco’s and he’s still going ok 10 years later
Obviously doesn’t have Luke Meehan as his S & C manager.
-
He sacrificed the hair on his head and braided them all into a new acl
-
Max Gawn has had 2 reco’s and he’s still going ok 10 years later
yeah and Nick Nat plus many others didnt recover, though Lever and Libba have.
what kind of success rate are we talking about here?
plenty have had 2 or more and finished up not long after, or produced nothing.
Time will tell. Fare to say that draft hasn't been kind to us at all, and we had a great draft hand.

How They’re Travelling: Judson Clarke
RFC website
1 Feb 2025
Q: You are at a point of your rehab now where you can start looking at playing football really soon. What position might we see you play this year?
I am currently with the midfield group training as a winger. So, I am looking to play wing (but) will still be keeping options open to (play) half forward and half back as well.
So, I am learning all roles, and I guess want to be able to play wherever need be.
Q: You seem to be well suited to the wing?
Yeah, I enjoy the wing, it is good fun. I don't mind running and as a wing you have got to run a fair bit. So, I have been enjoying hanging out with the midfielders.
I have been learning a lot of centre bounce stuff as well, which has been different. It is new for me, but it is good and I feel like it is just another thing to add to my tool kit.
Q: What coach have you been working most closely with?
Cara (Blake Caracella), he is my line coach and then recently I have been working heaps with Jack Ziebell as well.
He has been helping me with my rehab and returning (to full training). I guess bridging the gap between rehab and into training.
Q: How far away are you from that next stage, where your focus becomes trying to get into your best playing form, instead of that focus on returning to full fitness?
Pretty close I would say. I have started joining back in some drills. I am not full training yet and it is not contact yet, but I am hoping that is coming around the corner, maybe at the end of February and then hopefully I can get into match play as soon as I can after that.
So, it is really exciting that it is not long now. It has just been so long, and it really kills you not being able to play footy for so long, because that is all we really want to do is play.
I am pretty pumped, and I have been having a blast joining back in drills and I feel like I have been training pretty good.

Clarke could be a bit of a missing link for us. Looked promising at HF, but might be able to take on a wing position too. I’m definitely not sold on Hugo and Kmac won’t be around much longer

I think Hugo may go ok on the wing, I haven’t given up on him, he looked quite lively at times last season.
He needs another 3 inches on his mullet IMHO
