Why take RCD out. We need to give him a run of games. Can’t argue with the rest.
Stack and mrj should be first up. Also maybe a bloke by the name of Dustin Martin will get up

I've been wanting to see RCD all year but he was so poor tonight I wouldn't stress if we don't see him again at all. He looked at sea to me. Clueless.

As for Dusty, yeah I'd love to play him but I have no idea where he's at and haven't considered him until I hear that he's ready mentally and physically. If he's good to go then sure he's straight in.

Dow was subbed due to performance tonight not injury me thinks. Was unbelievably poor. Still young and shows good signs but got a major lesson tonight.

Agree. Two shocking turnover kicks tonight.

Still don’t know that subbing him was the right option though.

RCD has to play, if we drop him pack in the development team. Vs the best midfield in the comp.

It's just time for Castagna to have a rest. I mean he even said in an interview he's hoping he's doing enough to keep his spot.

Edwards has to be moved on, happy for it to be temporary but can't play next week after that.

Castagna out for Stack
Edwards for Sonsie
Parker can stay for sub

If that's the case, that is disgraceful. And highlights another issue of our side of undisciplined acts and lack of care and respect for the rules. Not to mention the treatment of a young player to fake an injury, I enormously hope that isn't true.

Looked to be true and was required tonight. Dow was a deer in headlights and a liability. This is not to suggest he is done as i think he has a future, but tonight, well he should be disappointed with his performance. In saying that, he is amongst at least 12 others to have played poorly.

First and foremost out is McIntosh i dont care what others think but we need our ouside players taking the game on not panicking and just giving our players the best option when they dispose the ball. People don't see it but our ball use is a huge problem and we can only play so many outside players, when those outside players cant use the bloody pill then they have to go.

People don't realise it but our biggest problem IS OUR 24 THRU 28 YEAR OLDS. If people look they will see.

I doubt either Dusty or Lambert will be available so...

INS: Stack, Grimes, Pickett or Ralphsmith*

OUTS: Dow (inj), Tarrant, Castagna, Parker

*if fit. If not then Sonsie

Very lucky = Ross. Newsflash he ain't wingman and he doesn't gut run BOTH ways

Sad part is the coaching group now don't believe Ross can play as an inside mid. Given this, i would suggest he will be looking for a new home in 2023.

I’d be rolling with some along the lines of

Short gibcus Miller
Mansell broad vlastuin

Kmac RCD Rioli

Stack Balta Cotchin
Riewoldt Lynch MRJ

Nank Prestia Bolton

Bench: sonesie baker Graham and hopefully atleast one of grimes/lambert/Hugo/pickett

100% Dow was subbed out due to poor effort.

The one disappointment of the night was many players gave a poor effort. Not the Richmond we know.

Maurice Jnr deserves a gane before Sonsie atm.

So many sub par performances based on that game you could drop 10.Thing is its not just been this week.

How about we address some of the things we keep on getting belted in. Also what is wrong with trying to find some players who can actually use the ball well.

If people are honest that game could easily have been a belting. The beltings will come though if we don't do something about the players with poor skills and not performing. Absolutely belted in I50, Clearances and contested ball again, and the skill of  some is killing us also.

Would be great if they can give RC-D another game but on that performance you could not blame them for dropping him if they do. Would also like to see them show some faith in Dow if he is not injured. The kids a surely allowed a bad game just like the others who stink it up and keep on getting picked.

Would not hesitate to drop Parker, Castagna, Edwards, McIntosh, and they will likely drop RC-D and Dow could be injured.

Not sure what is up with Pickett but him Lambert, Miller who should never have been dropped, Stack, Sonsie, and Ralphsmith would be in my calculations.
What will likely happen is a couple of experienced players will get a gig at the expense of probably RC-D and Dow.. and the usual suspects will get away with another poor performance.

Maurice Jnr deserves a gane before Sonsie atm.
His pressure is elite but his disposal will kill us. It’s way off standard at the minute.
I’m not sure Sonsie is ready either. I’d like to see him string more consistent performances together before he gets an AFL game.

The injury to Dow makes perfect sense as he was way off the pace the other night. Rest up and bring it when you return young man.

In the Mix: Round 7

Developing midfielder Thomson Dow is likely to be rested after two consecutive thigh corks. Kane Lambert and Dylan Grimes need to get through training to be considered, with Grimes the less likely of the two to play. Coach Damien Hardwick revealed post-match Ivan Soldo has undergone minor toe surgery but is still a chance to play. Jake Aarts put in another strong VFL performance (21, 10 tackles), while Sydney Stack had eight clearances. Veteran Shane Edwards (seven disposals) was uncharacteristically quiet, as was Jason Castagna (seven).

Verdict: Lambert and Stack for Dow and Castagna.

I would go:
Out:  Dow (inj), Castagna, Edwards, Ross, Parker
In: Lambert, Grimes, Stack, Sonsie, Banks (Lambert or Stack the sub)
Play Sonsie as a forward, Banks at half back move Short up the ground.

You have to give RCD another go and a few games.  Ross getting plenty of the ball but ultimately doesn't use it well enough.
Considered Biggy for Tarrant but cannot go in to young. Grimes helps Tarrant a fair bit

Interesting week at selection

Think Tarrant needs more than a week off, he's been exceptionally poor the last 2 weeks in particular

Miller in.

Dusty ruled out, two more veteran Tigers won't fly to Perth

By Sarah Black
afl.com.au
27 April 2022

RICHMOND superstar Dustin Martin will not play against West Coast this week having made his return to the club after personal leave.

The Tigers have confirmed veterans Trent Cotchin and Robbie Tarrant have also been ruled out, given the five-day break between games and travel to Perth.

Tarrant's absence opens the door for a return for co-captain and fellow defender Dylan Grimes (hamstring), while Kane Lambert (hip) is also a chance to return.

"The five-day break for those older guys and the travel is not the best preparation both for this game (against West Coast) and the following v Collingwood," Livingstone said.

The two forced changes might put a bit of a limit on the changes I think all of us want.
3 forced changes all up with Dow out as well.

If it were me I’d go

Out: Cotchin, Tarrant, Dow, Castagna
In: Lambert, Miller, Stack, sonesie

Who knows we might get grimes and Pickett back. Great time to get stack in and let sonesie debut against west coast.

Your probably right in that there’s only going to be 3/4 changes but I’d like to add another to yours as by all accounts Clarke has been performing consistently well in the VFL.

Miller for Tarrant. This is a like for like.
Grimes for Mansell. See below for thinking
Pickett for McIntosh if fit. This is a no brainer for me but it wont happen even if Pickett is fit.
Lambert for Dow. Says it all.
Stack for Edwards Out of form Edwards at 33 not having to travel as a bonus for some aggression.
Sonsie for Cotchin. Reckon R-cd will have to step up but Sonsie can be a big part of midfield rotations while bringing some needed polish.
Clarke for Cantkickit. sheesh wonders will never cease if it happens.

The unlucky one would be Mansell  but when we play Grimes on smalls he is one of the best in the league at it. Would play him on Ryan.

Most won't happen but id love it if it did.
