Hopper a possible forced out with a calf?
Nank may be back?
Fire away with your changes?
-
I guess we’ll wait for vfl. Need a midfielder to fill in for hopper I guess
-
Out Hopper Miller
In Nank Dow
-
Leave Ryan as first ruck.

Leave Ryan as first ruck.
Agree is getting better in leaps and bounds
-
I don’t think either Ryan or Nank are decent enough forwards to spend anything other than a couple of mins here and there in the fwd line, which means to me that neither are suited to a 2nd ruck role.
The only way I can see nank and Ryan working as a ruck combo is if one of them spends heavy minutes on the bench or if nank rediscovers his intercept marking and can drift behind the ball (like gawn does) while Ryan takes the ruck.
As for my outs I’d drop HRS even though he got himself into some good positions to intercept some dump kicks towards the end there, I thought he was mostly anonymous and really don’t know what role he is playing. I’d also drop Kmac. Don’t know exactly how many of his kicks were direct turnovers but seemed like most of them were. Move Pickett back to the wing to replace him.
Out: HRS, Kmac, Hopper (if injured)
In: MRJ (taking picketts spot in the fwd line) + 1/2 best VFL performers

Tigers confirm Jacob Hopper has a left calf injury. Will miss Dreamtime at the G. Toby Nankervis is likely to return in round 11 v Port Adelaide but trains tomorrow. If everything went well he might be a sneaky chance for next week
I literally spoke to the club about his calf in the last 20 minutes. And spoke to the Richmond fitness boss about Nankervis this morning. So yes they will wait for scans but it’s not outrageous to suggest he will miss next week

Sonsie for Hopper, don’t rush and risk ruck rover Nank
PS: we just beat the top side , clubs don’t make unforced changes as a rule

Agree with Sonsie playing. Another option could be playing Ross as a mid and play Banks on the wing.
-
Pretty straightforward. Ross plays in Hoppers spot then bring in Banks.
-
Don’t think anyone really put their hand up in the 2s yesterday. Might be Sonsie or Cumberland (Pickett moves to the wing, Ross into the middle) by default unless someone is ready to come back from injury.
-
Given picketts proven defensive game as a forward do we risk bringing in cummy who has been known to not always run two ways?

No.
-
INS: Sonsie, Bauer
OUTS: Hopper (inj), Ralphsmith, Clarke (sub)

Junior any chance this week?
-
Junior any chance this week?
Fitness wise yes, form wise no.
-
Given his form hasn’t been great surely he has to tear it up in the 2s before demanding a return? It is dream time though and I know the club might get sentimental
-
Atleast with junior, while his offensive form hasn’t been great (and that’s putting it kindly) you know you’re atleast getting elite forward pressure every time he plays. I don’t love picking forwards based on their defensive contributions alone, but let’s face it, we’re not really stacked for forward options right now.

Agree, he's not a dangerous enough forward and doesn't score. He can do this. But shouldn't come in this week unless your dropping Mansell
-
Junior needs to work on his flaws before he comes in.
-
Co-captain Toby Nankervis (ankle) is a chance to return for this Saturday night's Dreamtime at the 'G clash, as is young defender Tylar Young (leg).

Team Tips:
In a big blow for the otherwise reinvigorated Tigers coming off a win over Geelong, Jacob Hopper has been ruled out for the medium term with a hamstring (sic - ed. it's a calf) injury to leave a big void in the midfield. But Damien Hardwick’s side could regain Toby Nankervis and Tylar Young. It likely puts some pressure on Ben Miller after a quiet showing. Tyler Sonsie (20 disposals in the VFL) and Noah Cumberland (three goals) could also come into the frame.

Again- as he is playing in the lower level, this should reveal the answer :shh

Probably a good week for Nank to replace Miller with the Bombers twin ruckman.
Leave Young out as he is not needed with the Bombers lack of height up forward.
In Nank, Sonsie
Out Miller, Hopper
Clarke remains the sub.

There's a spot up for grabs in the absence of Jacob Hopper (calf). Both Jack Ross and Jack Graham can play inside midfield roles if required, opening up spots on the wing or at half-forward.
Toby Nankervis is a test to return this week, and would likely replace Ben Miller, given the developing form of Samson Ryan.
Sub Judson Clarke showed some spark in the fourth quarter, while Noah Cumberland booted three goals from 11 touches in the VFL. Tyler Sonsie (23 and three clearances) and Sam Banks (13 and four tackles) also found the footy.
Tylar Young is also a test, but might find it difficult to break back into the defensive seven, with Hugo Ralphsmith possibly the most vulnerable.
