No Bauer ?

No Bauer ?
Bauer not playing VFL today apparently just in case Lefau is out of the seniors with a suspected broken jaw.
-
9 - 15
Sandy having more inside 50s.
Not sure where our small forwards are. Kosi and May isolated as soon as the ball hits the ground.
-
Dumb. Why blindly handball over your head in defence when you're right by the boundary?! :facepalm.
9 - 21
-
Saved by the siren.
Quarter time
Richmond 1.3-9
Sandringham 3.3-21
Goal: George.
Aside from the first minute when we got the first goal, it's been poor. Playing behind and second to the ball across the ground. Defence holding up giving how many in50s to Sandy we are gifting them but our mids and forwards need to lift big time.

Stats to QT:
Smith 8 disposals
Kosi 3
Samson 3

First time we've been able to transition thanks to a lucky bounce on the wing. Wilson hits up Kosi 35 out. Goal! :gotigers

This is soft. Fumbles, losing our feet, and mistackles.

Naismith down. Punched the ground. Taken off the ground with a trainer.

Might sadly be another ACL for him.

Austin Johnson got up wobbly after coming off second-best when tackling on the wing a minute ago. So he might be off too.

I hope he sues the club for degligence. It’s a disgrace that Meehan is still employed

We've found our tipping point at VFL level due to our long injury list at AFL level.

I'm no fan of Meahan and our S&C dept needs a clean out, but Naismith has a long history of repeat ACLs.
-
So when's the MSD again? :help
-
Half-time
Richmond 1.3 3.4-22
Sandringham 3.3 8.7-55
Goal: Koschitzke 2, George.
Smashed in the guts. So, we're continually trying to start attacks from deep in our defence.
We're out-sized in defence and it's now showing due to all the inside 50s Sandy are getting.
Small forwards nowhere to be seen, so when we do go inside 50 it bounces out quickly under no pressure.
-
So when's the MSD again? :help
Between rounds 11-12 IIRC.

Zebras dominate VFL Tigers
By Richmond Media
19 May 2024
Richmond VFL suffered a challenging defeat against Sandringham, with the Zebras securing a commanding 110-point victory at Trevor Barker Oval on Sunday.
The Tigers, with only four AFL-listed players among them, started promisingly, kicking the opening goal in the first 90 seconds of the match.
Sandringham responded assertively by claiming the next three goals of the first term.
The pattern repeated in the second quarter, with Jacob Koschitzke notching the first major for Richmond, only to be countered by three consecutive goals from the opposition.
Although Koschitzke added another goal, Sandringham dominated the term, adding five goals to their scoreline.
Injuries continued to impact the Tigers in the first half, with AFL-listed player Sam Naismith leaving the ground due to a suspected ACL injury, followed by Austin Johnson's withdrawal after a heavy collision.
Sandringham increased their dominance in the second half, preventing Richmond from scoring and ultimately securing a resounding 110-point victory.
Despite the loss, Richmond's vice-captains Joel Garner and Chad Harris exhibited impressive performances.
Garner showcased solidity in the backline, accumulating 19 disposals and seven marks, earning him the Pat Cronin Medal as the Tigers' best on ground.
Harris contributed significantly with 21 touches, displaying consistent commitment and effort.
Kaleb Smith, unaffected by his travel from Brisbane as Richmond’s AFL emergency, delivered a standout performance at half-back, finishing the game with a team-high 22 disposals.
Jacob Koschitzke also looked lively throughout the match and displayed unwavering effort.
The match served as Pat's Match, supporting the Pat Cronin Foundation in their campaign against coward punches.
Looking ahead, Richmond VFL anticipates a special occasion as they face Essendon in the Dreamtime curtain raiser at the MCG next week.
Sandringham 20.14 134 def. Richmond 3.6 24
Goalkickers: Koschitzke (2), George
Best: Garner, Smith, Harris, Koschitzke

If their strength training isn't done properly, then a muscle imbalance makes stuff like ACLs much much much more likely.

Must have had poor strength and conditioning training each of the 4 times he’s done it then.
Seriously your posts are tiresome. You’ll go after claw and the Italian fellow for mouthing off but anyone who disagrees with your takes and out come the childish replies with your little :shh :shh :shh at the end of it like what your saying is gospel.
‘Meehan apologists’. Yeah right. There is an endless list of injuries to go after Meehan for that show that whole department needs a revamp. There’s really no need to clutch at straws and blame him for ACL’s. What’s next concussions?
-
Exhibit A right on cue -cry harder...you're like a poor man's Al ...same smug self-righteousness but without the wit & humour he had to temper it......(although at least you don't also spout leftist dribble like he was prone to on occasion so I'll give you that)....if Meehan decided on concussions we'd have comatose players being sent back out....
:shh :shh :shh

Whatever you say poor man’s claw
Same tendency to flood the forum with pot shots directed at everything and everyone at the club and then at other posters who dare question your opinion

Let's be honest you wouldn't have a clue what he has done, or hasn't done. We can only look at the current state of play, and it's not very positive for our guy.
While I don't think Naismith 4th acl is a result of magic hands, I do suspect his unprofessional may have had something to do with gibcus missing.
The club would gain some respect if they come out and told the members they were reviewing his position,
-
Fair enough take FJ.
Department 100% needs an overhaul just based on soft tissue injuries and repeat injuries alone.
-
Carlton is having the same soft tissue issues as us,

Kaleb Smith (23 disposals, four marks, 11 rebound-50s, five tackles)
“Kaleb was one of the best on ground. It was a fantastic performance once again from him. He's growing as a player each and every week.”
Jacob Koschitzke (13 disposals, nine contested possessions, 77% disposal efficiency, three marks, four tackles, two goals)
“Jacob was in a forward line that was only serviced with 30 entries. It makes it tough for a big key forward, but I thought he battled away all day, provided a contest, and hit the scoreboard with two of our three goals.”
Samson Ryan (eight disposals, four contested possessions, 18 hit-outs, three clearances)
“Samson had a really big battle up against Tom Campbell after Sam (Naismith) went down and he tried hard, there's no doubt about that, but a bit of experience probably did win out in that battle. Looking forward to seeing him continually crack in whether it's in the ruck or up forward.”
Sam Naismith (three disposals, four contested possessions, 100% disposal efficiency, four hit-outs)
“Really disappointing and shattering news to come out of the game. I have absolutely loved coaching Sam, and he's been an amazing leader for us with our young players, and I really appreciate everything he's done for me and the group. Just shattered for him and sending lots of love his way.”
