in my post above i mentioned he is using the house band. they are all good mates of kiss and his and played on his solo album live to win......mayeb some tiger players should listen to it
cant wait to hear paul play "love gun" live , if you have not heard it, u have no idea what heaven sounds like!!!!!!!
-
Daniel Cross being in serious doubt won't do any harm to your plans X. Cross normally has had a day out against us in the past few years. On the other hand their debutants will probably make it into their bests because we pay opposition newbies no respect :scream.

Forward scout: Western Bulldogs

OUR BACKS: When things aren’t going our way we need to tighten things up a bit. We feel as though when we haven’t been winning the ball and when the opposition is coming back at us we leave our defense out to dry and they are forced to compete in situations they shouldn’t have to.
Their forwards: The last few weeks Johnno (Brad Johnson) has probably been their main target but there are some blokes who are equally as damaging if we give them some space. We have got to put a lot of time into blokes like Adam Cooney, if he goes forward, and young Jarrod Harbrow, who has just come in and is pretty dangerous around goals. We will also have to watch Darcy or Will Minson if they play deep.”
Midfield battle: Clearly their strength is across the ground. They have Nathan Eagleton, Daniel Cross, Scott West and possibly Ryan Griffen all going through the midfield and generating a lot of ball. So we are going to have our hands full, in one, trying to curtail those players, and two, to be able to go and win our own ball.
The ruck duel: Troy Simmonds will be our number one ruckman while the back up ruck position is likely to be filled by a couple of players such as Graham Polak who has done well in the past couple of weeks. They will be up against pretty hard conditioned ruckman in Minson and Darcy so we will need a good honest contest out of our guys.
Our forwards: We’re number one in conversion in the competition but we are well down on inside 50s. So I think it’s showing that when we get it in there we know how to put them through. We just need to generate a bit more ball both in the forward line and the midfield.
Their backs: If you go through the statistics, they are the number one rebound-50 side and number one in handball receives, so their run and link up with the handball is their strength. Brian Harris is critical to their line-up.

No sure why we got Patto to comment on the game when we were going to send him back to Coburg ???
-
Great start - not. 6-26. Johnson and Lids both handballed to a player who has his opponent standing right next to him. Dumb play. :banghead
-
Where are the crumbers? :banghead :banghead
I'm switching over to "Biggest Loser".
-
Richo goal :gotigers
-
Damn - 50m penalty against Richo. Doggies goal :banghead
14-39
-
Tiv goals :gotigers
-
Richo's 700th goal
:bow :bow :invasion :jump :thatsgold :woohoo :congrats
Quarter time: 4-2-26 to 6-4-40
-
We are getting hammered. Where's the midfield????? Where's Krak & Tambling?
Tuck goals
33-66
-
Great now Schultz misses. Richo kicked OOF before Tuck's goal. To quote Diggler: "we are rabble!"
-
Schults marks and kicks straight to a Bulldog. Remind me why Paddy is back in the team. Just had his kicked smothered. Sloppy play.
-
Half time: 5-5-35 vs 10-6-68
Murphy on report for getting Raines in the head. Schultz was unlucky not to get a free as he copped a high tackle but the umps said it was out of bounds?
Edwards has had a few touches as has King. Pets, Krak and Tambling quiet. Simmo working hard.
-
NRL: Aust 18 NZ 0
We could use Johnathon Thurston - he just converted a really difficult shot.
-
3 missed shots for goal. Schultz the culprit. Richo working hard but he's getting let down by others turnovers. Johnson the turnover king. Pettifer should have got a 50 penalty.
-
Finally. Polak goals. :thumbsup
44 vs 75 - only 31 points down.
Schultz unable to mark anything tonight. :banghead
-
Great play. Edwards, Simmo and Hyde goals :thumbsup
Tigers getting momentum.
-
Polak marks on the siren and goals.
Richmond 8-13-61 to Bulldogs 12-11-83.
We won that quarter but really could have blown them out of the park if we kicked straight. Krak finally starting to get into the game. Richo working hard. McGuane doing ok. Edwards good.
-
Polak goals :gotigers
3 goals to Polak.
-
Hyde goals. C'mon Tiges!!
-
It's all over bar the shouting. Do our guys know how to tackle? Or man-up? The Doggies make it look so easy. How come West manages to get the clearance nearly every time - Johnson????? Don't our centremen know how to read the ruckman's tap?
Schultz goals - finally! Not that it will make much difference.
Some midfielders need to learn to chase. Really my dog chases better.
-
Thanks for the commentary Julz :thumbsup

You have a weird sense of humour Oxx. But it beats crying or wanting to smash the tv like some people do. I just don't feel anything. And as nothing I say or do will change the situation, I'm not going to waste my energy.
At least the Aussies flogged the Kiwis in the Anzac Test.
Good night all.
-
That was tragic!... And you know what is really sad.........the tiger crowd just about giving a standing ovation when a tiger lays a good tackle or chases down an opponent..FFS! thats what they are supposed to do!!! Its become such a rarity at tigerland that they think its special now >:( And it was tragic when half the crowd just burst out laughing when Richo kicked out on the full...its not infuriating or head banging...its just sad :(
At least this week i'm not guuted, like you Julz, i dont feel anything at all, just a long season coming up
-
We are still bunching up, not running into space and disposing poorly. We're still hand passing to players under pressure, we're playing on aimlessly and running around in circles. Our gameplan sucks.
As I've said before we don't have the players for this run and gun game. We need structured movement and maintain posession at all costs if we are going to win anything this year. Only then will we learn to lead into space and dispose correctly. Our captain is making as many stupid mistakes as anyone and he is not leading our team or directing traffic. I agree with others here, time to play the kids and let the cards fall where they may. Who knows, they might actually teach a few of our senior players a thing or two!
Time for a Bex and a good lie down! :sleep :sleep
-
Positives:
Foley continues to be our most reliable midfielder.
Polly really gave us something when moved forward kicking 3 and one assist to Hyde to get us back in the game. The only downer was he missed his chance to kick a fourth that would have only made it 10 points the diff.
Rainesy rediscovering his 2006 form.
Joel blanketing Brad Johnson.
Hyde producing another goalscoring cameo.
Running out the game in the second half.
30 scoring shots. We miraculously could have been level pegging or even narrowly in front at 3/4 time if we didn't kick 3.8 in the 3rd quarter.
Negatives:
Petts, Sugar and Krak once again ineffective and out of form. Senior players should not be missing targets by miles.
Our general disposal and lack of 1%ers.
-
Yes agree with everything you said MT. How many times do you see Kane Johnson fall over???? And the other Kane has gone back to being Kane Petrified. Thought Edwards looked good and Polak did well. Simmo worked his butt off.
-
ok everyone
I HAD A VERY VERY VERY AWSOME NIGHT LAST NIGHT!
PAUL STANLEY SHOWED EVERYONE WHY HE IS THE BEST STAGE PERFORMER IN THE WORLD, HE GAVE 150% AND WAS FAN EFFING TASTIC!!!!!!!! TOTAL GUN CHAMPION AND GIVES HIS ALL FOR HIS FANS!!!!
RICHMOND TAKE NOTE, U CAN LEARN ALOT FROM THIS ROCK GOD!!!
NOW BACK TO THE FOOTY
driving home from the palais i was listening to talk back and so many ppl were bagging the usual suspects
gaspar
sugar
tuck
richo
joel bowden
krak
tivendale
i couldnt really comment as i didnt see the game but i watched it when i got home.
what surprised me is why did joel cop a pasting on talkback , he totally owned brad johnson and kept him to 1 goal!!!!! well done joel :clapping but in saying that i think its time to push joel fwd and play pettifer off the half back line.
richo is a dud, he should be played off the bench, he still cant break a game open or kick a crunch goal. and when he is out there he demands the ball so much that we become way too richo conscious still :banghead :banghead get rid of richo and the players will be forced to look at all options!!!
tuck has become a joke and i dont care if he had a jab in the ankle, he should have made way for jacko
gaspar should be put down, he isnt even up to coburg standard
sugar has become the biggest failure and joke in the afl, he makes vanderberg look like a gr8 captian. drop suagar immediately
krak should be played soley as a fwd, he is out of form but his 1% and hard work was very important for us, and least he set up a few goals with his hard work around the conjested fwd line
tivendale although has had a decent start , goes missiing when the going gets tough, as a senior player he should be having an impact
but im not angry like last week as we were never going to win this game , the bulldogs are far more advanced in their development and they have a better senior core than us.
joel is our only senior player who should be getting a game, the rest should all be delisted traded and let go
its time terry made big moves
petts to the hbf
joel to the hff
raines and lids should be in the guts, with tambling, foley, hyde, edwards
polak has to go to chb, the reason why we got him
thursty at fb as soon as he is fit
jon hbf
jack riewolt chf
richo bench and /or hff
bring in casserly
drop tuck and sugar
drop tivendale
if we are going to lose week in week out we may as well fast track these young kids and give them mileage, they will learn more on teh big stage than in the burgers.
as mt said we had a few positives and we didnt get blown out of the park
not that mad anymore as i finally worked out what th etigerskin is
ITS A GIANT HANKY TO WIPE THE TEARS AWAY IN 2007!!!
its not all doom and gloom, we will get better but need to clean out our senior core that is letting the team down
go tigers
-
fair sledge, but mainly spot on for mine
-
The Tigerskins will be replaced by Basketballs next season :lol

its going to be a long season, yes. but maybe tery is tanking this yr as sheeds did last yr. maybe this is so, maybe not, but it wouldnt surprise me if we do tank the yr out now and have a big clean up at yrs end and blood new talent. 3 yrs too late , but u never know
-
we can tank and get 1 17 and 18 but in order to do this properly they have to trade for another top 10 pick and get a star in the psd. The trading for the extra pick will be the problem- I cant see what we can trade to get it atm.
-
Game plan and endeavour problems aside, we have the least talented list in the league.
Greg Tivendale being one of our better players says it all. He wasn't fit to play AFL footy three years ago. That tells you how far up the creek we are.
-
I think some tough decisions need to be made.
We have players that are sadly out of form or have been totally worked out by the opposition (by that I mean they know how our players play). Do we continue to carry them hoping they get back into form? Or do we bite the bullet send them back to Coburg so they can get some form back?
Now I don't know if this is something clubs discuss but if silly me sitting up in the Southern Stand can see it then I can only assume that the coaches see it too and isn't it is up to them to help players overcome having been "worked out"?
Perfect example is young Raines - clearly the oppostion know which way he is going to go when he gets the ball (he runs straight ahead taking on the opposition, just like Tiv always runs out slightly to the left). Now because the opposition have worked out young Andrew out it is clearly affecting his form -the club needs to do something because not only isn't it good for the team I doubt very much it's that great for the confidence of Raines.
Now before everyone has a go at me and says I am picking on Andrew - that's not what this is about. It is an example of the probelm of players having been "worked out" that we currently have and what I am asking is what the hell does the Club do about it ?
At the other end of the scale we have the senior players out of form with bad skills - leathal combination without doubt. I reckon we need to bite the bullet on that one too
-
The thing is Andrew is doing the right thing in that case. You want players breaking through lines. The problem is whenever we do catch the opposition on the break the player with the ball looks up and sees no one leading hard up the ground or even out to the wings or HFF so has no one in a better than 50/50 chance to kick to. Too many players play safe and are reactive and won't run off their opponent to offer an option for the player with the footy. Once someone like Rainesy gets the footy his teammates should back his bursts as soon as he gets the ball and start sprinting into open space.
