Good luck Alex and Robin :thumbsup
:gotigers
-
Will Thursfield ???
-
Well there you go someone aint Tw's love child after all :clapping
-
Deans mum was wrong then....
King ahead of Polo....
Why drop Browne.....
The rest i'm happy with.
-
Thomo is up to speed, if you need to get a young one in to get some confidence there aint no better team than us.
Hopefully like I said during the week Rance can be ours.
And obviously good luck to Robbie, the dude is certainly a goer and will leave nothing on the track, just watch those that haven't seen yet :clapping
-
McMahon is out . . . I am confident we will win this game now ;) :clapping
-
Deans mum was wrong then....
Well someone better tell Deano he isn't playing because he said he was and obviously told his mum so ???. Maybe there'll be a late change?
I'm surprised Kingy is back in but I guess they want someone who will always give 110% effort even if his footskills aren't that great.
Not hard to argue about Jordie and Thursty both getting dropped. They were both terrible last week.
-
After last week Im glad King is in the team.We can only hope his attitude and work ethic rubs off on his team mates.
With Edwards and Nahas in the team it will look like boys playing men in this game. Can anyone out there provide a serious reason why Polo is not in the team this week?
Poor Will .....unlucky to be dropped after one poor game however its exciting to see Rance given a go.Lets see what all the fuss is about.
-
Well I tell you what if McMahon lost this lottery, Edwards sure as hell won it!!! I don't believe he is still in...... and over Polo????
-
Just wanting peoples thoughts on who Kingy will match up on?
Geelong dropped Stokes who i thought was the obvious match up...
Chapman or Johnson ? though they could slaughter him...
Why not Polo??? Maybe he walked under a ladder this preseason again...
-
Maybe some of you dont give kingy enough credit & his worked on his foot skills over summer
that cant be said for McMahon. l hope this is his wake up call we need him to pull himself together
l dont know why Polo was not in the starting side. This suprises me
some of their players are not 100% fit going into this game
will be cringing on my chair & hope for a worthy effort at least.
Cats by 9 points

Varcoe and Chapman are the shortest Cats at 179cm. I can't really seeing Kingy going with either of them though.

[/quote]Didn't realise Polo was such a man mountain!
I do agree though he should be in the side.
Very exciting with a Rance and Nahas for the first games for the Tiges!
-
just thinking how the hell is edwards still in the side
-
imo there will be a late change
king out \ polo in
-
Nahas(67kg) makes Edwards (76 kg) look like a man mountain.I think my 12 year old nephew weighs almost as much as robin.
However I do wish Nahas all the best and will be cheering for him on Saturaday.
-
just thinking how the hell is edwards still in the side
Maybe Plough sympathises for playing Shane out of positon in defence or it could be that facing Milburn again is the punishment for last week's "effort".
-
The theme was toughness.
So King was brought in. Okay
Yet Polo a hard at it player who is tough was left out for Edwards lets say. :scream
Contradictory to say the least. :whistle
We may as well have the little league run out rather than the skinny little runts we'll have running out anyway.
Its like Steve Irkel up against Mike Tyson, Homer Simpson against Drederick Tatum.
We will be fustigated.
-
Nahas(67kg) makes Edwards (76 kg) look like a man mountain.
No He doesn't! And at least Nahas can hold a tackle and not only that, he wants to tackle.
Edwards, and i have been saying it for a while now, does not even want to tackle, he runs very hard when we have it but seems to take ages to react when the ball turns over. Not good enough at the moment, we need players earning the right to run around in the yellow and black and that means being desperate in every way! Last weeks performance was simply not good enough and i am so glad Terry swung the axe but i think it should have been swung even harder!
Anyway it looks like a few maybe on notice from here on in, and deservedly so!!!

I have to say I am bloody peeved :banghead :banghead I was going to use a different word than bloody but I didn't want to reprimand myself again
But seriously I cannot believe that Polo hasnt been selected
FFS oops sorry, I mean what does he have to do. He was easily in the best 3 for Coburg last week so can someone anyone explain this mind numbing decision to me
Now correct me if I am wrong MT but were we not told at the pre-match last week that Polo was unlucky not to be playing because he had been outstanding in the pre-season and that he was next in line...
But oh no we get this (refer those in bold)
Emg: Andrew Collins, Dean Polo, Will Thursfield
In: Rance, King, Hislop, Graham, Nahas
Rance, Polo, Nahas and Polo in the best last week but only 3 get a gig .... don't get it just don't get it
Please give me a break... geez I'm peeved :banghead :banghead :banghead
-
Emg: Shannon Byrnes, Tom Gillies, Kane Tenace
Garry Lyon said Gillies is a back-up stuff for the Cats so there's a big question mark on whether Scarlett will play.

Well Hutchy says Scarlett will play. So one of them is a dud :wallywink
-
What if Scarlett plays half the game and goes off injured?
Does that mean Lyon and Hutchy are both duds?
-
:lol Tucky

Spot on WP. We all heard it. Hmmm just as the player in question said today he was playing and told his mum too. Something very fishy going on :whistle.
-
Edwards has got some dash about him, however, probably needs to stay forward of the middle. I'd rather see Polo in for Jackson. I think the best line up, based on selections & with Polo in for Jackson, would be:
B: Newman, Moore, King
HB: Polo, McGuane, Rance
C: Richardson, Tuck, White
HF: Brown, , Riewoldt, Tambling
F: Edwards, Bowden, Morton
R: Simmonds, Deledio, Foley
I/C: Graham, Hislop, Nahas, Schulz
Let King run with Ablett & annoy the crap out of him. :gotigers

Well at least I know I am not completely mad just yet ;D :thumbsup

That worked wonders last time. :outtahere :chuck :chuck

Maybe Kingy is coming in as hitman?
Do whatever you have to to stop Ablett, suspension or not??
-
Edwards was on track to play his first BOG last year until Milburn slam tackled him.
Just like Ablett Snr used to terrorize us, Edwards will do it against the Cats for the next 10 years.....
:pray :pray :pray
-
Tipping a late change. I wouldn't imagine that Polo won't be so confident to tell supporters that he was playing unless he was told directly from the coaches.
I think either Edwards or King will make way for him. :pray
It is a wet weather game in windy conditions so tall marking options will find it much harder to make the same impact they usually do. There will be a lot of ground level contests so players such as King may be useful. Interesting.

The guy that gave the scoop on Connors busted finger on BF, says that Tambling will miss with a hamstring and Polo will come in.

I give Bling a little bit more credit than some but I would be fine with that.

Y&B saying the same thing

That would explain why Blingers was on the boundary and not with the main group at training yesterday :(.
Ch 10 news tonight showed Polo and Collo training today but emergencies train with the main squad so still no confirmation yet apart from the polo for blingers rumour.
-
Marco Polo ??
where the stuff is Polo
I thought he would have been a clear choice against big strong mature Geelong side ??

Polo will be a late inclusion it seems.

Am really happy to see Nahas and Rance getting a run in the park.

Confirmed by Bondy on 3aw
Polo is in for Tambling.

And not doing too bad a job, very good first quater although second was a bit quieter. Good to see the attack on the ball lifted with some of the new boys, Polo, King, Hislop.
