He's now part of our past but Plough is doing another tv interview this Saturday on Ch 10 with Maher after the Sydney vs Collingwood game on the Fifth Quarter.
-
He should go away for a few weeks-for his own good...
-
how much is the idiot getting paid for this
just stuff off terry
-
wont be watching the 5th quarter ::)
-
Geezus let it go and move on.
-
He should go away for a few weeks-for his own good...
For everyone's good. :P
-
Bump. If he talks about fighting powerbases within the club like he did today on SEN it might be worth watching.
-
What time did that air, One Eyed?
-
I reckon it'll be just after the 4th quarter. :P

You must be easy pleased or you might get off on hearing his voice ::) :lol :lol :lol
-
F* off Terry.
-
Let it go :sleep. Sheesh he's been gone for over 2 weeks and you'll still see and hear from him whether you like it or not as he'll be in the media and he will be asked about his 4.5 years at Richmond. Just another ex-coach in the media. Spud's still going after 5 years and Walls hasn't been our coach for 12 years yet even today on the radio he was asked about his time as our coach and what happened with Northey :yawn.
Plough looked healthier btw. The hair looked like it had had a black rinse too lol.

I wonder has he once apologise for not giving us Richmond people what he promised us when he got there.
A team that has skill.
A team that will kick over 100 points a game.
A team that will play finals.
And what about the myth of coast to coast goals Terry. I never saw us do it.. although I did see every other team do it to us over and over and over again.
Point is You got it wwwwwwwrrrrrrrrrooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggg........fonzie!

even Danny Frawley was man enough to say he got it wrong by topping up after the 2001 season. But fair enough, Danny got us into the finals didnt he?........

Have argued this all along.
danny was a better coach than Wallace.
You can only be judged on performance.
But posters on here thought the sun shone out of terrys backside.
Terrys still thinks he has left our list in good shape. :banghead :banghead

sen sack thomas due to the "curent financial crisis" :lol
but have the money to put TW on who no doubt would have demanded more that Grant Thomas
go figure
i cannot even believe sen and channel 10 have employed this bastard
1/ he does not have the face for tv, but has the face for radio
2/ he does not have the voice for radio , but has the head for one
cant believe there r ppl like some desparate females on here that actually think he is a fine specimen, butthen i think, he does have what all women want..........diamonds, in other words plenty of cash
rot in hell terry

Let it go :sleep. Sheesh he's been gone for over 2 weeks
You have to be kidding MT.
Wallet should have had the dignity to walk away with his tail between his legs after what he's done to our club.
To see him strutting around in the media skimming cash for comment a fortnight later & STILL blaming others for HIS failures makes my blood boil!

Sorry Magic my post really wasn't directed at you. I just thought others who have spouted hatred of Wallace ad nauseum year after year would move on now that he no longer has anything to do with the RFC. Instead female posters on here cop BS sexist remarks ::) because they don't think Wallace is Satan himself, have no personal gripe with Terry :whistle, and because they understood breaking a contract would cost the club $$$ it didn't have two years ago ::). Wallace was always going to go back into the media and you don't need to be a success to be commentator. It's only football they need to talk about; not rocket science. It's probably a prerequisite to get a media gig for some lol. Geez we've got 4 failed ex-RFC coaches in the media now - that says it all :P. If the media wants you back and it pays well no one in football is going to knock a job back to avoid talking about their former employer. It didn't stop Spud and he mocked the club and his former players in the media yet we have the same posters praising him ???.

Fair enough MT.
The main difference I see with Spud and Wallet is that Spud was humble and took a while before he found his feet back in the media again. He has rarely held himself up on a pedestal and he actually strikes me as a genuinely nice person who simply wasn't up to the task at hand.
I cannot say the same for Wallet.

I actually heard the SEN interview - he was on "Crunch time" between 12.00 and 1.00pm
Anthony Hudson sadi that TW will be on SEN every few weeks over the remainder of the season.
The onlt thing that was of interest really was his comments about the power bases at Punt road. There is actually a brief article about in today's HUN on page 8 of the sports section. It is by Jackie Epstein. I
Take your personally views about TW out if it for a minute, what he said is actually what alot of people on here have been saying for ages with regard to different groups think they have more of say in things than should. He made the point that what the RFC needs to do is actually be united and move forward in the one direction - something we haven't been able to do (whether people want to admit it or not) for over 20 years

People object to hearing the truth.
The undermining he experienced for a number of years now is a blight on our club
Whether people liked him or not, we made him coach and for three of those years these gutless wonders were in the background doing what they thought was beneficial to the club.
What they should have been doing was all of them getting behind each other as a group, as TW says here, and maybe we might not be in the poo we're in at the moment.
We never learn that instability will never ever help us
So we start all over again and more than likely the same things will happen again.
There is a growing case IMO for folding up the whole club and just giving it away
We are a basketcase and worthy of all the jibes and jokes that are said about us.
-
Miller is the fool for giving him 5 years in the first place. Thank God that buffoon is no longer with us either.
It was apparent that Wallet had NFI early into his third season (actually year 2) and we should have been able to punt him at the end of '07 but obviously we were hamstrung.
Geezus is it any wonder there have been grumblings about the place for some time about Wallet?!
Open your eyes to this charlatan and stop blaming others for his unmitigated failure!

well then i suppose it wasnt his fault.
not his fault the club hasnt made finals for the last 4 years.
not his fault that the team is the worst in the league at skills
not his fault that they traded picks for hacks
not his fault that they handballed too much
not his fault.....
In the words of Bart Simpson......."I didnt do it!"

That's fine, Mr Magic, lots of people agree with you.
But the same is likely to occur with the next coach, and the next and the next
Take Wallace out of this, don't you want to see the culture around the club change or you're happy for people in the background to make the decisions about the club no matter what ordinary members think or want?
I don't. They're a cancer that we'll never get rid of with people like you saying what they do is okay.
-

Who is 'They're' then?
Gary March?
Unless you can name these so called trouble makers, what you are saying is just froth, bubble and excuse making for a failed coach.

How on earth could a sacked employee have any influence on proceedings? ::)
Wallace was just a coach who had a fundamentally flawed outlook on what it takes to be a successful football team.
Now to find one who has a successful philosophy.

Mr Magic, sadly the HUN article is not on the net and I am not going ot type it because I will be here until midnight :P
TW certainly didn't blame the different power bases at the club for his demise.
He made the point that he'd been through the place twice once as a player and now as a coach and that both times the internal power bases were present (have to add Dermie was staggered by this).
He went onto say that while things were going well the problem wasn't present but when people start to believe or perceive that things weren't going well that is when the different groups fractured off and they tried to establish their powerbase. He also said it wasn't one particular area and named a number of groups including the past players and coterie groups.
I don't expect anyone to change their opinion of TW
But the reality is that there have been; over the last 2 years in particular a number of groups within the club that have not helped the club by pushing their own agendas and undermining people because they think it is their right

Actually, believe what you want, Magic, that's your prerogative
But when we find we can't get people we want to come to the club because they do believe we're a basketcase, then people might actually listen and think, hey, we really do have a cultural problem.
Won't be until we're dead and buried and we have a footy coronial inquest into the death of a club may we find out exactly what went wrong
Wallace says it started 18 months or so into his career.
Discussion on the same issue has been going strong on this board for about the same time
Believe me, it's no coincidence ::)
-
I think it's time for us all to unite and work through our opposing views to achieve a more stable environment - if only i was on the board and could say that. :gotigers

Yeah well I just wonder how overstated it is. Wallet is quick to blame rather than take responsibility.
He also had problems behind the scenes at his previous club.
I am not involved with the club directly but can certainly understand groups having major concerns about the direction Wallace & Miller were taking us after things went horribly wrong in 2007. I totally agree/d with them and shared their frustrations.
Am I pushing an agenda too? Only because I cared about where we were going, which was pretty obviously the wrong way?!
I am just VERY glad he is gone and hope we can get it right next time up.

Here 'tis WP:
Former coach Terry Wallace slams Richmond's 'power-based' culture
By Jackie Epstein
June 21, 2009
Former Richmond coach Terry Wallace says the club's power-based culture was the worst he had seen in his time in Australian football.
Wallace said a strong person needed to be appointed to cope with the pressure. He also blamed the intense media scrutiny and injuries for contributing to his demise.
"I've been to three clubs and it's a club more than any other club which works on power base - all the time," Wallace said on SEN on Saturday.
"I've been there twice now (and) I've never seen this club really all come together and say, 'we're going to work in harmony together'.
"Whether it's a corporate area, whether it's a past players area, whether it's a board area, whether it's a management area, there's always somebody working for the power base at the club.
"I think that the club still needs somebody who is either unbelievably strong in personality or of senior nature. Obviously you've got your Nathan Buckley types who we know are a very, very strong character and senior coaches who have been a part of it.
"To get a young coach in there who is not strong enough ... and (with) Jade (Rawlings) we'll find out in the next 11 weeks."
Wallace said not being able to field his best side from round one had hurt the club.
"Not having the midfield we wanted up to speed at the start of the season killed us," Wallace said.

I guess if this "powerbase" talk had only been mentioned under Wallace's reign you could dismiss totally as sour grapes from an ex-coach. But as we know this sniping culture behind the scenes has occurred for decades well before Plough arrived. It doesn't defend Wallace's mistakes that can be apportioned to him directly (recruiting/trading, gamestyle, etc) but nevertheless it is destructive no matter who is in charge to have individuals and groups who have no official decision-making position at the club undermining those in official positions. This issue is more a concern as far as our next coach. We know with the list we have we'll struggle next year and possibly the next especially if there's a cleanout of the oldies and we have virtually a U24 side running around. I can just imagine the hissy fits these coterie and past player idiots will have if the new coach doesn't deliver many wins in his first two years no matter who he is ::).
-
Well we will see with the next appointment's achievements whether Terry's bitter bitching and continual playing of the blame card has any merit.
Whoever it is will be hard pressed to do a worse job than Wallet as rebuilder and coach of the RFC.
-
Wallace said not being able to field his best side from round one had hurt the club.

This guy's delusion never ceases to amaze me & just shows how far off the mark he is.
Fact is every side in the competition deals with injuries Terrence. :P
You rarely have your absolute best side available.
Even when we do have our best side available we are not beating top 8 sides and with you in charge it was entirely concievable that we were heading towards our 2nd wooden spoon in 3 years!!!
-
Terry Wallace arrived at Richmond 5 years ago. 5 years ago Kayne Pettifer was on the list. 5 years ago Richmond supporters were probably thinking he should be traded or delisted. 5 years on Wallace gets the arse and Kayne Pettifer and other players who play in a similar style to Pettifer are still on the list ... maybe he needs to think about the links between this type of list management and recruitment and his losing his job. Maybe then the penny will drop.

Enough with trying to avoid the swear filter
Firstly, as has been previously mentioned the "C" word in any way shape or form is totally unacceptable, even more so when deliberately trying to avoid the swear filter.
Ditto the "F" word
As everyone is aware we are fairly lenient but the constant avoidance of the swear filter can result to trip to the "swear bench". We hate doing it but at the moment we are not being left with any alternatives
TONE IT DOWN :banghead
