With the 2021 season on the horizon and pre-season matches just a month away, it’s time to reflect on who are the best forwards in the game.
Here are the top ten offensive players in the competition.
1. Tom Hawkins
2. Josh Kennedy
3. Charlie Dixon
4. Jeremy Cameron
5. Tom Lynch
Despite many rival fans maligning the big man, there is no understating the importance of Tom Lynch to the Tigers’ forward-line.
Since arriving at the club at the start of 2019, Lynch has been outstanding, booting 95 goals in 44 appearances. When he was absent from the qualifying final against the Lions, he was sorely missed as the Tigers forward-line was tamed, but came back and helped his side go back-to-back.
6. Charlie Cameron
7. Liam Ryan
8. Jack Darling
9. Toby Greene
10. Tom Papley

If I had a choice of any of them I'd take Greene 1st and Charlie Cameron 2nd. Of the talls Hawkins is retirement age, Dixon a big sook and Darling ducks his head and is soft as butter. Lynch first and then J Cameron.
LOL - West C has 3 forwards in the top 10 and can't even win a home elimination final!

Josh Kennedy at 2? Can barely out his arms over his head
-
No love for Dan Butler there. Statistically was better all round than all the small fwds.
To go with the 29 goals he kicked at 1.5 a game he laid more tackles than any small fwd with 74 at almost 4 a game.
If i was picking a side potential fwds would be, Robbie Gray, Toby Greene, Charlie Cameron, Luke Bruest, Devon Smith and Michael Walters.. Cameron aside they can all play thru the midfield for you and all bar Smith are clever instinctive goal kickers.
the Tall fwds for me would be from Jeremy Cameron acknowleding that last yr was not one of his best. Charlie Dixon based on last yr and third tall would be from one of the Jacks. Jack Riewoldt Jack Gunston, and Jack Darling. It goes without saying if Buddy Franklin was fit and able he would be the first picked.Josh Kennedy at 2? Can barely out his arms over his head
And yet that injury riddled bloke still kicked 34 goals for the season.
If Josh Kennedy was a tiger he would be lauded as a great but no hes tucked away in the west and is just shizen apparently.

Lol it does not surprise me in the least that you wouldn’t have Tom Lynch and Riewoldt just may sneak in for your final spot

Poor old TK crying in his milk because someone didnt pick his favorites. god almighty tiger supporters have become precious.
Because i dont wear blinkers 24/7 i picked Dixon in front of Lynch because like most others i think he had a better yr.
Lol crying because i lumped JR in with two other pretty decent players.
Theres not just one team in the competition last time i looked there were 18 and just for your information there are good players in those sides as well as ours. Fair dinkum some of you blokes live in a bubble.

Remember that time mopsy claws actually made a post where he sounded like a Richmond supporter and not an opposition troll?
Yeah me neither... :shh

Your reasoning for picking Charlie Dixon because “he had a better season” fully contradicts your selection of Jeremy Cameron. You go on and on about people on this forum backing Richmond players excessively and conversely underrating opposition players but is that any better than what you do which is the complete opposite? Supporters are expected to have some bias to their own players/team and considering we’ve won 3 out of the last 4 premierships I reckon that bias is pretty warranted.
Look forward to your over the top, essay length response to this......

So your still crying in your milk. You dont think Dixon had a better season. hmm blinkers again.
Cmon your just upset about the Cameron selection because a tiger supporter dares rate him as a player. you really need to lighten up son.smell the roses and take a neutral look at all players.Remember that time mopsy claws actually made a post where he sounded like a Richmond supporter and not an opposition troll?
Yeah me neither... :shh
You must be lacking something if you constantly feel the need to sound like a supporter.
None around here show an ability to stay neutral when talking about our players or the opposition.
What does that say about supporters.
Just look at the angst saying Charlie Dixon had a good yr a better one than Lynch has caused. Quite sad really to think people lack an ability to be balanced and take umbrage at those who are.Nope lets not be different aaround here.

I don’t see where someone claimed that lynch had a better season than Dixon. I certainly never claimed this. But whose had a better career? That would be without a doubt Lynch.
Now can we apply the same logic to your Jeremy Cameron selection? Who had a better season last year between him and Lynch? Again that would be without a doubt Lynch. So which is it? Are you picking players based on their performances last season or the balance of their careers or do you just change this to suit your argument of not picking a tigers player?

Lol it was quite obvious that i picked players on personal preference and on the yr they had. fmd i mentioned Dan Butler as the best performed small fwd and didnt pick him. Robbie Gray had a ordinary yr by his standards and i did pick him.
I didnt pick Hawkins who won the coleman medal by a decent margin because i chose to pick a player i like more in Cameron who had an ordinary year.
I picked Dixon a 200cm fwd over lynch 199cm a similar player in the real tall fwd role. I wasnt picking two 199-200cm tall fwds in the same fwd line. I picked Dixon because i really liked the season he had. But how dare i like an opposition players season.
If you want me to pick a fwd line based solely on their careers ill happily do that if need be. but i dont think tom lynch will be one of the talls.
I picked Cameron because i think he has been very good for a long time. to me he is a differnt type of KPF to Lynch.
I had Riewoldt Gunston and Darling as third tall more mobile types all bunched together should you pick any of them on the yr they had ? you can make a good case for and against all of em.
Just my opinion but i dont think JR had the best of seasons generally down on what he has done in previous seasons.
I think plenty here have agreed with that.
Nope your just playing the man because you mistakenly think i just ignore our players. you get upset because i didnt put a richmond player in a team.
If i was picking from the current bunch of talls based on their careers to date then the options would be
Franklin, Kennedy, Riewoldt , Hawkins and Cameron. If kicking goals is a major part of a Key Forwards role then Cameron is only behind
Franklin when it comes to average goals per game and would have to be in the mix. . id probably pick the first three if picking a side based on their careers to date.
I think you will struggle to find a post where i have been highly critical of Lynch or Riewoldt especially over the the last 10 yrs.
If im not posting about em it usually means im happy.
At the end of the day supporters are too precious and are blinkered and incapable of balanced views on our own, they are always better than oppo players and oppo players are always worse this thread is an example.

Snip! Stick to the topic ppl.

TLDR version. Claw hates Richmond and only gets enjoyment when the team loses

Did you see the post above, be good if you could stick to what was said but hey then you would have to atriculate yourself and make a case against what was said, pretty hard to make comment on a subject when you are so clearly blinkered and dont see opposition players. much more fun to just take a cheap shot.

TLDR version. Claw thinks he’s the only person on this forum who watches the opposition and hates our forwards.
