How much of a chance are we?
If Freo beat the Saints
We beat Freo next week and then Carlton beat Brisbane next week we will be in the 8
Simple.......LOL
Fingers crossed.
Although we have no chance doing much it would be great experience for the kids.

Certainly upset the plans of some hey :(

Very True MOI. Those people suck hey. ;)
We are back baby. Finals bound.
-
Bloody Freo.
They were up by 3 goals and now are getting pumped!!!
I bet Mark Harvey is laying down just to stuff us up.
-
Lamentably lads Saints are now 27 points up having kicked the first 5 goals of the third quarter so if the trend in the Freo Saints game continues we will be 6 points outside the 8 so will be hoping for either Collingwood St Kilda to lose both their games and us winning both.
We have Freo at the G and Melbourne at the G
Saints have Adel at AAMI and Essendon at the Dome
Collingwood have Sydney at the Dome and Freo at Subi.

Would hate to see Freo use their trip at the G next week against us as their Grand Final only to go down to the Pies in the following week with us out of the finals picture and in 9th spot again. :banghead
-
Unfortunantely the way things stand our loss to the Saints in Round 7 and those 7 goals kicked by that little rodent Milne will haunt us come 2 weeks from now. :banghead
-
1.10 to 11.4 since half-time at Subi. Just another reason to hate Freo :scream.
You're right HT. That Saints loss by just 3 freaking points which we should have won has come back to bite us :banghead. They may lose to Adelaide and Essendon has had the wood over the Saints the last few times but you can bet St Kilda will win at least one of those. The worse thing is we will be teased until the last Sunday of round 22 as the Saints play the twilight game after our match against the Dees.
-
NINTH is looming large
-
If we win our last 2 game which is a better than fair chance and a few things fall right for us we will make it. So I will have my fingers crossed that it all come to light. :gotigers :gotigers :gotigers

NINTH is looming large
Its on the cards.
Still a decent result.

Ironically, it may be ex Tiger Matty Knights who may need to get his Bombers up against the Saints in round 22. Wonder if he would have extra motivation knowing that we would make the finals with a Bomber win????
-
this is the equation ...
assuming we win against Fremantle and Melbourne ...
we need ...
St Kilda v Adelaide (TD)
Essendon v St Kilda (TD)
we need St Kilda to have a massive fall for us to make the finals.
only if we win our two matches ...
Go Adelaide and Essendon !!!
OR
Collingwood v Sydney (TD)
Fremantle v Collingwood (Sub)
Go Sydney and Fremantle !!!

stuff the saints how good would it be if the swannies knock the pies off and then the dockers finish them off in the last round.
Then the tigers take their spot with a win against the demons....That would be incredible and i would then call for TW to be signed for 10 years
-
biggest games for us next week (outside our own) are the
Brissie -v- Carlton game
Saints -v- Adelaide
Pies -v- Swans
Those go our way and who knows
But today showed we are heading in the right direction
We out played and them and out coached them ;D
-
Regardless we are starting to win more than we are loosing. What a turn around from last year!
I'm looking forward to next year when we finish in the top 4 :gotigers

Top 4????
being positive is a good thing but lets be realistic here.
Our best players today were RICHO and Bowden.
Of the 9 games we have won this year, Richo and Bowden have played a major part in winning at least 5/6 of them.
Our best player is Richo by far so i wouldnt be talking top 4 till someone steps up and takes his place as our match winner.

Statistically maybe, but Bowden just played loose all day and Richo only had a good 4th quarter
Tuck was BOG for his performance in shutting down Mitchell early and was the best midfielder on the ground on the day, he was by far the most influential

You've got no idea mate.
You didnt like Connors or Morton's efforts today? both kicked 3. No Browny playing.
Lids and Tuck have had their best season
No Foley in midfield today
Our 2 key defenders have been fantastic
Plenty of good signs this year.
I doubt you're not a Richmond supporter
-
The Bombers have lost another 4 players to injury including Hille and Fletcher. That makes it hard to see them knocking off St Kilda in round 22.

The biggest single factor in our wins has been replacing the older types with more kids and moving Richo out of the forward line to let us structure up in a much more functional and unpredictable way. And we have proved that over and over again this season by playing poorly every single time we have recalled the older culprits or stood Richo in the goal square. We have a number of match winners or potential match winners among our kids and this will come to the fore over the next few seasons. And, luckily for us, most of them are midfielders which gives them a bigger influence on the game than a key forward.
-
I still have memories of Melbourne knocking us out of the finals way back in the '90s.
That was a horrible game.
Let's hope we don't take any of these teams for granted, especially after this week having such a great match against the Hawks that we don't drop our guard.

hey fu.kwit read my post again.
i questioned us making the top 4.
i stand by my previous argument. Without Richo this year we would be bottom 3 at the very best.
We have some good kids coming through but withouth Richo i am yet to see how we are going to make top 4 next year with this list.
Does that make sense to you now loser.
