Just seen a quick preview of our pre-season doco they've been filming since Trade Period...it's good. It's very NFL Films, can't wait to see the whole thing! It will be on TV, either Ch7 or Fox sometime before Round 1.

Those NFL films are quite good.
So they're not at all like the actual sport itself then?
-
If you're 11....
Sure, I'll series link it after hi5 :lol
-
Hope it's better than the membership TV ad because it's pretty underwhelming
And if the doco was filmed in HD then it likely will be on Fox, sadly Ch7 don't seem to recognise HD ;D

Richmond to launch pre-season documentary
richmondfc.com.au
March 19, 2015
To kick-off the 2015 season, the Richmond Football Club is releasing 'On Track', a documentary presented by Jeep, about the Tigers’ preparations for the upcoming AFL campaign.
‘On Track’ takes you into the heart of Tigerland and beyond, as the players tackle pre-season training head-on.
The 45-minute documentary covers the real interactions between players and coaches as they work through the physical, mental and emotional challenges that come hand-in-hand with professional football.
From the trade period until the end of the 2015 pre-season challenge series, ‘On Track’ is a behind-the-scenes look into a relentless football club which simply won’t hold back on its mission to achieve success.
“The ‘On Track’ documentary will give Richmond and general footy fans a unique insight into what it takes to prepare for an AFL season,” said Richmond CEO Brendon Gale.
“It demonstrates the hard work, sacrifice and dedication of the players and coaches, as well as offering an understanding of their personalities, and lives away from the game.
“I would like to acknowledge the tremendous support of Jeep, who worked tirelessly to help produce the documentary.”
Jeep Australia’s marketing director, Mark McCraith said: “As co-major sponsor of the Tigers for the past five years, Jeep’s ‘Don’t Hold Back’ mantra is perfectly aligned with the club’s values, and it was particularly special to see it in action over the pre-season journey.
“I have no doubt that footy fans from around the country will be both impressed and intrigued by the documentary. One which Jeep Australia is especially proud to have been able to produce.”
Watch the ‘On Track’ trailer and register to unlock extra content, and for your chance to win a double pass to the premiere screening, to be held at the ME Bank Centre (including an introduction from Richmond players and exclusive access to watch training).
‘On Track’ will air on the Seven Network on Sunday, March 29.

Jeep partners with Richmond Football in hour-long documentary to screen on Channel 7
Jeep Australia has partnered with the AFL’s Richmond Football Club in a branded documentary to be aired on Channel 7 giving fans a one-hour insight into the club’s pre-season preparations.

Produced by Cummins & Partners, the creative agency for Jeep Australia and on the creative roster for the AFL, the show aims to highlight the hard work, dedication and “emotional strength” a team required to ensure a successful season.
Fiat Chrysler director of marketing Mark McCraith said: “As co-major sponsor of the Tigers for the past five years, the Jeep ‘Don’t Hold Back’ mantra is perfectly aligned with the club’s values and it was particularly special to see it in action over the pre-season journey.
“I have no doubt that footy fans from around the country will be both impressed and intrigued by the documentary. One which Jeep Australia is especially proud to have been able to produce”.
The ‘On Track’ documentary is complemented with a website which provides “bonus” content to fans.
Ben Couzens, co-ECD at Cummins & Partners, said: “On Track is a great example of creating a property for a brand that people will choose to immerse themselves with in long form. We’re proud of this work as it’s not only a spot-on articulation of the Jeep brand, but it’s also a nice example of how our media and creative teams work together, finding unique solutions for our clients.”
Nigel Camilleri, producer and director of ‘On Track’ said: “This week in the agency we are creating content that varies in length from 6 seconds to 45 minutes. There is now obviously a constant and consistent need for content of all lengths and types. Working with FCA and Channel 7 to create ‘On Track’ has been a rewarding experience and we’re pleased with the results. We look forwards to seeing the ratings.”
The documentary premieres this Sunday, March 29, on Channel 7 at 4.30pm in Victoria, and on 7Mate in South Australia and West Australia.

Anyone else find that a couple of the videos you register to see are just AFL highlights packages?

Can't wait for this, will be taping the World Cup as I watch this compulsory viewing :clapping

So you're going to record a live cricket match to watch a pre-recorded documentary that starts two hours into the match and that you could also record?

definitely the way to go...as good as the cricket has been, it's Richmond.........daylight........... CWC
-
Do me a favour ...it's a stuffing sponsors puff piece not a stuffing game.
-
I'm not sure why Richmond would want to do this anyway, pressure enough already being the club with the coach most likely to get chopped this year.
-
they keep telling us they are ready to take the next step..That being the case pile the heat on,lets see how they cope
-
Pretty good doco so far.
Dimma pumping up our chances this year mentioning to the playing group a few times about feeling something special building. He did temper that to the newbies telling the, that we're currently a side that's thereabouts so we needed to bring in new talent to push us higher.
Dimma said 10 lock-ins before NAB 1 and so 12 spots up for grabs for round 1. Presumably Dimma's ten are Lids, Dusty, Jack, Cotch, Maric, Rance, Chaplin, B.Ellis, Titch, Houli, Miles.
-
Oh no.
I missed it.

Pretty good effort by the RFC :clapping, fair bit of footage already been on website bit more inside stuff to go as well , every other club would kill to be prime time like that :shh
-
It was 4:30 on a Sunday afternoon up against a World Cup Final.
That might be primetime in a pensioner home but very few other places.

Dimmas 10 lock ins - vickery, newman, petterd, morris, gordon.... then dusty, cotch, maric, deledio and rance ;D

Based on the theory, primetime is relative....
-
If Vickery cared as much to throw his weight around in real games going for the ball (aside from the Cox incident), as he did fighting Rance at training then he wouldn't get bagged as much as he does.
Flossy and Gordon were shown going at each other as well during game simulation training.
-
Worth a watch - kept waiting for the Rocky music to break out
-
any idea if this will be released as a DVD?
-
Not exactly sure how a coach normally pumps up an AFL squad but a lot of what he said to the players seemed to be about giving them confidence in their own ability and to reinforce the idea that big things will happen this year. Hope it all comes to fruition but that old fragile mindset is a hard thing to overcome and we will tell pretty quickly on Thursday night if the 2015 team is going to be a mentally stronger one.

He also seemed to play alot on the competition for spots in the team. Im not a professional sports man and I really don't know so I will ask here.
How much motivation is there to play in the first 22 when you are getting paid either way? Those that talk to the boys would know and would be able to give us some feedback (I know it would be different for each player).
-
In a word , brilliant :shh
-
There is certainly a lot of money being spent at punt road nowadays.
The club don't have any excuses for not being a competitive team now.
Don't let us down boys.
:gotigers
-

Really?
Club didn't pay for the doco to be made, Jeep did ;D

That's pretty obvious considering the countless times a jeep label was used in a close up. And if a rookie is already driving a brand new jeep questions should be asked.
Whilst I was watching I was thinking more about the great facilities, the personnel & the general look of the place, there really is no excuses anymore considering the resourses available to the footy department & players etc.

It's just plain gay to watch at our age
