It was 4:30 on a Sunday afternoon up against a World Cup Final.

That might be primetime in a pensioner home but very few other places.

 ;D

Based on the theory, primetime is relative....

If Vickery cared as much to throw his weight around in real games going for the ball (aside from the Cox incident), as he did fighting Rance at training then he wouldn't get bagged as much as he does.

Flossy and Gordon were shown going at each other as well during game simulation training.

Not exactly sure how a coach normally pumps up an AFL squad but a lot of what he said to the players seemed to be about giving them confidence in their own ability and to reinforce the idea that big things will happen this year.  Hope it all comes to fruition but that old fragile mindset is a hard thing to overcome and we will tell pretty quickly on Thursday night if the 2015 team is going to be a mentally stronger one.

He also seemed to play alot on the competition for spots in the team. Im not a professional sports man and I really don't know so I will ask here.

How much motivation is there to play in the first 22 when you are getting paid either way? Those that talk to the boys would know and would be able to give us some feedback  (I know it would be different for each player).

There is certainly a lot of money being spent at punt road nowadays.

The club don't have any excuses for not being a competitive team now.

That's pretty obvious considering the countless times a jeep label was used in a close up. And if a rookie is already driving a brand new jeep questions should be asked.
Whilst I was watching I was thinking more about the great facilities, the personnel & the general look of the place, there really is no excuses anymore considering the resourses available to the footy department & players etc.

Not that there's anything wrong with that....
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.
