This is just my opinion of where the list is at. There is no right or wrong its just an opinion. Thats all!
2. Will Thursfield - Hasnt had a chance in 2011, I think hes in trouble list wise and could move in 2012.
3. Brett Deledio - 1 outstanding game 2 average ones in 2011. Another core key player for us long term.
4. Dustin Martin - 2nd year Blues who knows? Anyway, hes a long term player and part of our future.
6. Shaun Grigg - Been a good recruit so far. No complaints.
8. Jack Riewoldt - Outstanding 2010. Being targetted by media in 2011. Needs to just focus on footy.
9. Trent Cotchin - Outstanding player. Pity we dont have more.
10. Shane Edwards - Average start to 2011 after a good 2010. Needs to keep improving IMHO.
12. David Astbury - Average start to 2011 but we must perservere IMHO.
14. Bachar Houli - Been average for mine since he got here but who knows maybe he'll improve.
15. Mitchell Farmer - Where is he? Unseen in 2011.
16. Luke McGuane - Another one of our average Key Defenders. We need to find a quality one soon IMHO.
17. Chris Newman - Been a good captain and player.
18. Alex Rance - An enigma for mine. Needs to show something soon IMHO or hes in trouble.
19. Daniel Connors - I have concerns with Conners. No where near elite. Just an average player IMHO.
20. Mitch Morton - Gone backwards from last year! Whats happened to him playing on the wing.
21. Shane Tuck - Coming to the end IMHO but can reinvent as a high Half Forward going forward.
22. Ben Nason- Unseen in 2011. I reckon hes too small for AFL level footy.
23. Daniel Jackson - Hacks the footy, average player with big commitment. Squad player in a successful team.
25. Angus Graham - No
26. Robin Nahas - Not for mine
28. Jake King - Well never been a fan, but hats off to him. He deserves every success. Hes worked for it.
29. Tyrone Vickery - Developing real well IMHO. Him and Derrickx offer a good potential ruck duo.
30. Reece Conca - Shows signs, should be a good player. Its time to put him on the wing.
31. Jake Batchelor - Like the early games of Batchelor. Should develop into a good player.
32. Brad Helbig - Yeah, I like Helbig, I think he can definately play and a player for the future.
33. David Gourdis - No
34. Andrew Browne- No
35. Matthew White - Never been a big fan. Just an average player in a very average team.
36. Dean MacDonald - To early to tell but exhibits good pace and could be ok of a HFF.
37. Jayden Post - Average player IMHO
38. Ben Griffiths - Injury prone but lots of potential and good for the structure of the side.
39. Tom Derickx - Like the early indications
40. Kelvin Moore - Good player
41. Nathan Foley - Needs more time now after injury. A Long way off the "Old Foley"
43. Matt Dea - Cant see him making it. Early indications were'nt good.
44. Troy Taylor - Has potential but hes not here now and hes a doubtful commodity long term.
46. Jeromey Webberley - Dime a dozen mid. No
48. Dylan Grimes - Like Grimes and think he has a future. Needs more game time.
Rookie List - (Maximum is 8 as we have no (outside) veterans. Minimum is 4).
13. Brad Miller - Not gonna be around after this year.
27. Tom Hislop - No
42. Jamie O'Reilly - I like O'Reilly, just dont know where his been this year.
45. Robert Hicks - Cant see Hicks making it
47. Ben Jakobi - Cant tell with Jakobi because I havent seen him play alot
49. Pat Contin - I like Contin but get the feeling he is a squad type player
51. Nick Westhoff - No
-
15. Mitchell Farmer - Where is he? Unseen in 2011.
Injured - severely bruised heel. Hoping to play for Coburg this week
42. Jamie O'Reilly - I like O'Reilly, just dont know where his been this year.
Injured as well been suffering shin splints
Will look at the rest tonight when I get home ;D
-
Ditto.
-
Who or what is "Ramps"?
-
"10 FLAGS" is the member formally known as "Ramps"
-
love the mitch morton summary
-
Ramps you are 100% spot on but willing to give Jackson another shot at it. King definately another contract IMO.
The only other one is Taylor. Why bother posting next to his game. Wasted draft selection. Good riddons thanks for nothing
These Nahas, Edwards and Nason types are not going to win us a flag. We need to face reality and quick

20. Mitch Morton - Play on Wing.
21. Shane Tuck - Gone
25. Angus Graham - Gone
28. Jake King - May survive (Great endevour but wouldn't get a game in a top 4 side unfortunatly)
34. Andrew Browne - In Trouble
44. Troy Taylor - Unique case. Could reap the benfits if he returns but how long and how many chances do you give someone.
The rest will survive.

Daniel mate buddy
Love your work but the word is riddance not riddons (again)
:lol
and "definitely" definitely does not have an "a" in it.

One bad loss and the forum turns into a blood thirsty witch hunt. :P
Nason -Played 17 games last year.Kicked more goals last year than Deledio,Cotchin and Cousins combined. At least Nason gets his hands dirty unlike a few of his prima donna team mates.
Matt Dea- talk about the sacrificial lamb.Played when we were being compared to Fitzroy...then got injured.
Webberley- Anyone remember the Hawthorn game last year when he put his body on the line.Averaged 15 disposals a game in 2010.Whats wrong with that ?
I do not see the point in blooding the kids, then taking the short term pain only to "write off " players after a handful of games.

mat073 it's just a bit of fun

19 players gone in one season, particularly when GWS will be rodging the buggery out of the draft, may be a little harsh MM. Even if you just follow your 'delists' that would be 8 which would be too many for mine unless we want to get rid of average players only to replay them with average to poor players.
-
19 players gone in one season
I have absolutely no idea how you came to that conclusion.
Even if you just follow your 'delists' that would be 8 which would be too many for mine
It's only 7 delisted off the main list which isn't cutting all that deep at all for a team that's still well off the pace.

you mention all up 23 players and imo over the next few seasons its a real possibility that all 23 could be gone. ahhh reality good to see some people dealing in it.

No doubt all the ones I mentioned are under question claw. However obviously they won't all go this year.
Dimma's just got to keep turning over footballers until he finds one's capable of winning us a flag because GWS or not, there's no point holding onto guys that won't because mediocrity will be our death knell.
We're coming from miles back post Miller/Wallace & it's going to take time to find these players. Even though our recruiting is improving, we cannot expect stuff to make every draft a winner. It's just unrealistic to do so.
I hope the Tiger faithful have the patience to give Dimma & his team the time required to do this because I certainly see him as a 'realist' even if some Tiger fans are not.
Problem is the club has set itself some pretty ambitious goals over the next few years and that might prevent some hard decisions being made that still need to be..
-
The club made a hard decision last year with collins and many, many supporters cried like a baby with a crappy nappy

I can understand that al, we as Tiger supporters are not used to letting go of players that are still capable of doing something, we are more used to waiting until players have played out 2 years at Coburg and are worth absolutely nothing before we let them go.

Agree with all of that.
People need to remember that rookie delistings aren't actual delistings- they were never officially on the list in the first place.

One positive from last night is our best players in the main showed something while those with known deficiencies were badly exposed.
Not part of our future:
Edwards
Nahas
White
Miller
Houli
Thursty
Need upgrading on because of lack of footy smarts:
Graham
Jackson - old John Kennedy would say to him do think just do!
Didn't play last night but also have papers stamped:
Tuck
Hislop
Gourdis
Westhoff
There's still plenty of pruning needed.

I think your missing a "n't" in your kennedy quote
-
Dont think the club would have stamped Hislops papers yet MT.
As for Tuck...that's just wishful thinking on your behalf. :P

Agree with Edwards Nahas and White.
Thought Houli Thursty and Miller are needed
-
Far too soon to make the call on Houli
White other than a couple of rushed disposals kept Shaw out of the game and has taken a handy scalp every game this year
Jackson has also improved substantially this year, his kicking has improved a lot
We have no one to replace Graham yet, he's still just a baby in ruck terms
-
agreed infamy,
Im not a big fan but white shutout H.Shaw and kicked 2 himself - the only thing is I dont know if you can play both White and King in the same side too often - similar roles for similar footballers with limits.
Thought that was Houli's best game so far, I'd give him more time before making a call on him
-
I thought Houli has been okay in his time with us. I also thought he was okay last night too. Agree far too early to make a statement or call like that. If the trend of this thread is too make impulsive calls on players based on their performances this year then Titch....... :help
-
Probable:- Mc.Gone, Thursfield, Nahas, tuck, miller, hislop.
Possible:- Gourdis, Edwards, white, Taylor.
-
Keep nahas.
Houli is ok. White has passion for the club.
