19 players gone in one season

I have absolutely no idea how you came to that conclusion.

Even if you just follow your 'delists' that would be 8 which would be too many for mine

It's only 7 delisted off the main list which isn't cutting all that deep at all for a team that's still well off the pace.

you mention all up 23 players and imo over the next few seasons its a real possibility that all 23 could be gone.  ahhh reality good to see some people dealing in it.

No doubt all the ones I mentioned are under question claw. However obviously they won't all go this year.
Dimma's just got to keep turning over footballers until he finds one's capable of winning us a flag because GWS or not, there's no point holding onto guys that won't because mediocrity will be our death knell.

We're coming from miles back post Miller/Wallace & it's going to take time to find these players. Even though our recruiting is improving, we cannot expect Frank to make every draft a winner. It's just unrealistic to do so.

I hope the Tiger faithful have the patience to give Dimma & his team the time required to do this because I certainly see him as a 'realist' even if some Tiger fans are not.

Problem is the club has set itself some pretty ambitious goals over the next few years and that might prevent some hard decisions being made that still need to be..

The club made a hard decision last year with collins and many, many supporters cried like a baby with a crappy nappy

I can understand that al, we as Tiger supporters are not used to letting go of players that are still capable of doing something, we are more used to waiting until players have played out 2 years at Coburg and are worth absolutely nothing before we let them go.

Good thread. Early days but this is what I see unfolding..

Thursfield - Delist.
Tuck - Delist.
Gourdis - Delist.
Taylor - Delist.
Post - Delist.
Two of Webberley, Nason, Farmer or Dea to be delisted. - Decision to be made.

Miller - Delist
Hislop - Delist
Westhoff - Delist
Hicks - Decision to be made.
Contin - Decision to be made.
O'Reilly - Decision to be made.

Edwards - Possible trade bait.
Connors - Possible trade bait.
Morton - Possible trade bait.
Graham - Possible trade bait.
Moore or Rance - Possible trade bait.
White - Possible trade bait.

McGuane - Required player for another season.

Agree with all of that.

People need to remember that rookie delistings aren't actual delistings- they were never officially on the list in the first place.

One positive from last night is our best players in the main showed something while those with known deficiencies were badly exposed.

Not part of our future:
Edwards
Nahas
White
Miller
Houli
Thursty

Need upgrading on because of lack of footy smarts:
Graham
Jackson - old John Kennedy would say to him do think just do!

Didn't play last night but also have papers stamped:
Tuck
Hislop
Gourdis
Westhoff

Dont think the club would have stamped Hislops papers yet MT.

As for Tuck...that's just wishful thinking on your behalf.  :P

Far too soon to make the call on Houli
White other than a couple of rushed disposals kept Shaw out of the game and has taken a handy scalp every game this year
Jackson has also improved substantially this year, his kicking has improved a lot
We have no one to replace Graham yet, he's still just a baby in ruck terms

agreed infamy,

Im not a big fan but white shutout H.Shaw and kicked 2 himself - the only thing is I dont know if you can play both White and King in the same side too often - similar roles for similar footballers with limits.

Thought that was Houli's best game so far, I'd give him more time before making a call on him

I thought Houli has been okay in his time with us. I also thought he was okay last night too. Agree far too early to make a statement or call like that. If the trend of this thread is too make impulsive calls on players based on their performances this year then Titch....... :help

Keep nahas.

Houli is ok. White has passion for the club.
