OUT:- JACKSON

Out...Jackson, King and Vickery
In......Arnot, mini Maric and Elton
Jackson just has to go, enough in enough!
Vickery has completely lost his confidence, needs a run the magoos to clunk a few marks again
King injured/just hopeless
Arnot may not be experienced but I double he could butcher the ball the way Jackson does, also I'm sure he will run and chase something Jackson doesn't seem to understand!
Elton can at least create a contest, we also need to get our mids into a small froward positon more often, ATM if the ball hits the ground there is little to no pressure and it rebounds back out as fast it comes in.
Mini Maric was unlucky to be dropped last week and will fire up both through the midfield and at the feet of Elton and Jack!

foley seems to be escaping a lot of criticism tonight :huh

How can anyone allow for example an AFL standard player who is running into an open goal with little pressure and then he kicks the footy into the post from 24cm out from the goal line. :help

granted a pee poor miss, but there were plenty tonight.did his goal counter that ?

Out: King (inj.), Jackson
In: A.Maric, Webberley/Arnot
People will disagree but I'll give Vickery one last chance next week against Melbourne (our lack of depth saves him also). Deserves to be at Coburg if he can't have a big one against the Dees.

This is where our depth gets tested. I don't really disagree, apart from Riewoldt, but who replaces these guys? Gus? Derrickx? Post? Its like re inventing the wheel.

You couldnt possibly play Vickery next week.
You would be better off playing Angus Graham as a forward option and thats saying something.
Vickery=Hopeless
-
Bit slow JStar, that options allready been covered ;)
-
Out: Jackson, King (inj)
In: Depends on Coburg form Sunday. In the frame are White, Webberley and Maric to replace those two. Don't want them to pitch Arnot into the fire too soon.
I'd really like the other Maric as an option to replace Kingy. Been the best small forward for Coburg both matches so far.
If Elton, Gus or Browne show good form for Coburg then replace Vickery with one.
Against Melbourne we can probably get away with Elton as a forward and play Miller and Todd as the second ruck but not against Jamar.
-
Out King (inj), Jackson penance at Coburg till his contract expires.
In. Mini Maric , Webberley
I agree Wayne Batch to play on Watts rough the princess up a bit and tell him why Prince William like Kate and not her.
Love the way Batch goes about it. :thumbsup
-
Out = Jackson, Rewoldt, Edwards, King,
In = whoever stands up tomorrow
-
I am even more dirty today than last night. If Jackson is in the side next week I am boycotting the Dees game.....and let's get it straight'...... I don't blame him personally he is just a footballer trying to make a living. I blame the recruitment/selection committee and Dimma for: extending a contract 90% of RFC supporters thought had run its race, for selecting Jacko week in and week out and for providing BS spin re footballers earning their spot in the team.
-
Surely Tuck and Jackson can playout the year at Coburg.
We need to give people live Webbers and White a real crack. They most likely arent up to it either but give them a chance and they can make or break it.
The only person we could bring in for Vickers is Tom D if he plays well enough. Gus or Browne can only play ruck and Maric is doing the bulk of the work and going ok. I say give Vickers a chance to break the form slump as he is very important to our structure. We all know he can play.
-
Team unchanged, elevate jackson to captain and edwards to vice captain, get flogged by 100 and Show everyone what a waste of space we are in this comp. Just face it, after our 2 performances this year we will be lucky to finish in top 14. I feel sorry for our good players and embarrassed for players like jackson. Our coaching staff needs a size 10 rocket. What the hell have these people been working on?
-
Jackson & Edwards must go for an extended run at Coburg (permanent). We are never going to improve with these terrible decisions makers in the side.
Vickery should be dropped. He's up himself and looks disinterested. Needs to do the small things like chasing & tackling. Be great if he could TAKE A BLOODY MARK TOO!!!!!
Yesterday was the perfect opportunity to bring in Batch & King and drop Edwards & Jackson but no they drop the only bloke who can kick the thing and a key defender??
Maric to come back in along with Browne & Post
-

tuck was one of the more solid performers last night. he went missing in the third, when we got smashed

Out.Jackson.Vickery .King
In .White.Graham Maric
Would play Graham as a forward / Ruck in the rotations
White for Jackson
King injured gives Maric another chance
-
another solid game webberly could see him get a go. he consistently racks up possies for coburg and uses the ball well, just not spectacular.

Yep that's the spirit. ::)
Now whose truck is bringing in the chicken manure. :help
The light of day is here and our loss although terrible was not as bad as people make out to be.
In fact our loss was better last night than against the filth.
I have said it all along its our lower tier players like our usual suspects who have been here for ages that let us down.
If you want to boycott the game that's your perogative but I would rather see the continual development of Batchelor Conca Grimes Ellis and Rance as well as the toughness of Morris and Maric.
A bit of perspective here lads. Who here thought we would be 2-0 right now? Honestly. 100%
I can understand the frustration in Riewoldt and Vickery who are our forwards and we know can play better but outside that Jackson Edwards and to a lesser extent Tuck who get massive game time and make the same elementary mistakes game in game out.
I wait for the day our kids force these blokes out and our depth is good enough to push these below par footballers into the Coburg side. It's not that far away.
We have got rid of 30 odd players since Round 22.
I know Jako signed a 2 yr extension.
What is Tuck's and Edwards contract status?
Sit tight lads and don't let frustration desperation and failure manifestation demoralise you.
-
thats the funny thing isnt it tucker? most people expected us to be 1-4 after 5 rounds and if at the start of the year you'd said we would get beaten in the first two weeks by 44 and 21, im sure most people would have taken that as about par, perhaps even better than considereing our recent performances against these two sides, yet as it unfolds the sky is falling.
we need to beat melbourne though, coz i fear the hawks will give us a dreadful touch up
-
Get stuffed. People would have taken a 44 point loss to Carlton? :lol
-
10 goal improvement on our last meeting
-
too many people caught up in the media frenzy and started beleiving their own BS about how good we are and how bad they are.
-
Get stuffed. People would have taken a 44 point loss to Carlton? :lol
There is the loser mentality at punt rd
Sorry.everygame is winnable
If you start thinking we would be 1win 4 losses after 5 games.there lies the problem
We will never improve
-
it's unrealistic expectations that cause feral meltdowns.
you dont think carlton are a 6-7 goal better side than us?
most people on here said we'd be 1-5 upon seeing the draw, and i'm not sure what bearing that has on how the players approach each game? :huh
-
10 goal improvement on our last meeting
You can't be serious with this poo al. stop making excuses for these guys
-
so you honestly think we are good enough to match it with carlton?
-
change your attitude mate. we matched it with them for 3 and half quarters and you're saying a 44 point loss is as good as a Premiership because last time they raped us.
-
dont think you are too old to be put over my knee for your stupidity.
Carlton are about 6-7 goal better side than us. thats all im saying.
The last bastion of the desperate is twisting things into something they are not, something like twisting that into me saying the loss was as good as a premiership.
-
so you honestly think we are good enough to match it with carlton?
If people think we are good enough currently to match it with Carlton and when we lose by 44 points call it a terrible loss then look at the issue this way.
Judd was serviceable against us without being explosive.
Murphy was clearly their best.
What of the lower tiers impact on the result in Betts, Yarran, Garlett, Sipmson, Scotland, Armfield just to name a few compared to our lower tier of Jackson, Edwards, Tuck, Vickery, Nahas, Post.
People have ranted on what they will or won't be doing on what Dimma does at selection this week and the possibilities/probabilities of Jako and Edwards being selected for Saturday yet some think we are not a 44 point worse off side than Carlton and others label it a loser mentality at the club rather than we are at that awkward stage where the kids coming through are getting the game time they need but due to depth we unfortunantely still have issues with blokes like Jako Tuck and Edwards getting regular senior footy.
Its okay to be frustrated its manipulative to stretch the truth beyond its limitations merely to serve a desperate and unrealistic end result.
-
Snip! Back to the topic ppl.

Good call Rune dog :clapping
-
Derrickx can stay at Coburg until he at least gets two BOGs in a row. He's done nothing as a forward and Graham/Browne are better ruckman than he is.
-
how sad is it when we talk about 2 times in the best being a requirement to get a senior gig?
-
Even sadder that Derrickx is being advanced as a selection with no mention in the best in 3 games.
-
Out Edwards, Jackson, King-injured
In Maric, ........who cares, do we have the depth???
-
Out Edwards, Jackson, King-injured
In Maric, ........who cares, do we have the depth???
no we dont, we are still a work in progress and will take time to add more depth. Waiting in the wings we have Maric, White, Arnott, Webberley, (Connors, McDonald are gawn already) not much there! but all of them deserve a chance
-

Prepared to go shorter in the FWD line as the Dees don't have monster defenders.
Miller can take some of the ruck duties - he did at times last year and did that role well. Massive Maric has shown he can take a grab so he can stand in the goal square for a rest
Jackson - in a perfect world he should not play for the RFC again but he will I am sure. But before he does he needs to learn a very important point and that is he needs to learn to play within his limitations. "dinky" little handballs along the ground & little chip kicks that constantly put his team mates under constant pressure have to be eradicated - no "ifs", "buts" or "maybes".
-
Miller in the ruck against Jamar. :outtahere
Doesn't all this just sum up where Jackson is at...we're calling for a kid in his first year to come in and replace him. The kid has been playing solid footy at Coburg without dominating and we're sure he's a better option than Jacko. and we are most likely right :lol
-
for jackson to play within his limitations he needs a permanent spot at coburg
-
I don't think Coburg want Jackson either
-
I don't think Coburg want Jackson either
Maybe the Coburg 2nds can play him as the sub
-
I don't think Coburg want Jackson either
Thats rubbish. Jackson would be a handy vfl footballer.
As are McGaune and goose. Graham.
-
Was at the game the other night but haven't had a chance to watch it on TV but one thing seems pretty unanimous- Jackson out!
King also out.
So for me, i would bring back Maric and bring in Arnot.
Would play Arnot as a run with mid. Play him on there new kid, Magna.
Both tough and hard at it, both will give 100% and it would be great for his development.
Would prefer to watch that match up than watch another second of Jackson.
Also think we can still turn it around. Played a couple of quality sides to this point. Both of which haven't really let us get anything going and both pretty well drilled. A win this week against the Dees and beat either West Coast or Geelong and we would be 2 from 5 and probably where most of us hoped we would be after a tough start.
Need to come out breathing fire this week though!!
-
Great post Big Tone, love your thinking on Arnot
-
Changes for this week should be as follows.
70% off ball movement to be in the forward direction
Half froward line to actually move and present as a target.
= Game won
-
I havnt seen much of Arnot apart from the televised rd 1 vfl match and (nab cup, which i wont include)
How is he pace wise?? can he chase?? I know hes strong from what ive seen

Footy Barometer - Round 3
Herald-Sun
RICHMOND
ON THE BLOCK: Daniel Jackson is under the pump after five clangers on Saturday night but he may be needed for a run-with role. Ty Vickery can’t get near it but the Tigers will persist with the young key forward.
ON THE CUSP: Addam Maric kicked three goals for Coburg yesterday and is the obvious replacement for King. Matt Dea and Luke McGuane also performed strongly but the Tigers defenders help up pretty well on Saturday night.
AL PATON’S FORECAST: The Tigers have played in patches the first two rounds but surely will get their first win against the hapless Demons on Saturday. They need it with the Cats and Eagles to follow. King’s niggle will be missed but watch Jack Riewoldt, who will be looking to atone for his stinker against the Pies.

Don't do it Dimma. DON'T DO IT....! >:(
-
Dimma must not give Jackson and Vickery games .why ?
As Dimma said 3 weeks ago.players must earn games
How is the club going to improve if the coach goes back on his word
Will be a joke if these 2 play and not good for Dimma
-
Jackson has to be dropped. He was atrocious on Saturday. We don't need a run with role agianst Melbourne. Bring in Helbig for a run
-
Helbig is out for 12 weeks
-
Dea for Jackson, A Maric for King
-
When does the squad come out?
-
Jungle beat emails come out thursday arvo/evening
-
Off-season sook: "we have no depth :'("
Season sook: "drop [player-x] :banghead"
-
I don't think a 22nd of our team is responsible for a loss no matter how poor they have played.
A few others with higher pedigree who were down.
Either Arnott or White for King.
If Jackson gets the arse,so should Jack but he will survive on reputation.
I think Maric or White will be the only change.
Dees always fire up for this one.
Time to ignite the G and win a game in style.
-
The difference between Jack and Jako is this.
Jack is skillful and capable. If he plays the percentages he will kick goals and be all that we want him to be. All he has to do is get his mind right for the contest.
Jako is none of the above. His mind is willing but his capabilities are minimal.
Jacks impact has been equal to zero but there is upside.
Jako's impact has been zero with no upside only continual downside.
Therein lies the conundrum and why Jack should play and Jako should be dropped.
-
Comrades - for whatever el cheapo reason my previews of matches against the Tigers have attracted a degree of notoriety. I would like to think this is one of the fairer of my efforts in this domain - and all the more so as I have immense respect for the Richmond Football Club
Goaded by their own self-loathing, I suspect that some of our Richmond visitors will not be able to help themselves. The Moderators will allow banter - a key word - in this thread (alone). Unsubtle abuse will invoke holiday-time.
“Today,” I declared to my team, “is the most important day of our lives. Today – with apologies to the Carlton Cheats - we will broadcast to the world that the Richmond Football Club is the biggest piece of excrement in existence – and in doing so, we will exacerbate the self-loathing that lies at the heart of every single Richmond supporter!”
My team listened on via Skype.
“Biff, we’re ready to go here at the Happy Sausage Rainbow Hotel!” Raoul screeched in a high-pitched voice. Raoul bats for the ‘other side’ but we are a tolerant and inclusive club here at the Dees.
“That’s good to know mate, because our little friend is coming your way first. You know what to do. I want footage from each of you! You all know the sequence. Just make it happen!”
That said, I ended the session and dialled Dusty Martin’s mobile number. After a couple of rings, he answered in his usual catatonic fashion.
“Hellllllo! Grrrrrrr!.”
“Hi Dusty, it’s Brendon Gale here,” I said in my best impersonation ever. “You know, the President of the Mighty Tigers. Sorry if I have interrupted something, like your mum rubbing those fake tatts onto your neck with a twenty cent piece. What are you doing today pre-match?”
“Errrrrrr, not much. I was gonna play with my x-Box and help Lids dye his hair again. That guy is a real fashion icon! Grrrrr!”
“How fascinating. Now Dusty, we need you. Some of our sponsors have asked us to lend them a hand today. Are you up to it?”
“Yeah, sure Benny. What do I have to do? Grrrrr!”
“OK – that’s good to hear. Now get your behind down to the Happy Sausage Rainbow Hotel. The Richmond Football Club is at the forefront of the battle against prostate cancer.”
“Really? Grrrrr!”
“Dusty, billions of Australian guys die from it every year. One can never be too young to have a check up. Just go to there and asked for Raoul. We want you to publicise the cause! There’ll be some intrusive medical procedures involved but I am sure you can handle it. We’re gonna film it too. Once you’re finished there, gimme a ring and it’s onto the next sponsor!”
“Yeah, no worries Benny! I’ll speak to you afterwards – grrrr!”
I spent the next hour or so pacing around the office. I was finally put out of my misery when the mobile rang.
“Hi Benny. It’s Dusty here. I’m right to go. What’s next? Grrrr!”
“Hang on, how did you get on with the prostate check-up?”
“It’s was a bit funny. They tried this new technique on me where the quack had a hand on each of me shoulders as he checked out me prostate. I’m feeling OK but a bit gooey. Grrrrr!”
“Mate, you are a hero! OK, second up, I want you to drive over to Harvey Normans at Knifepoint Shopping Centre. You must have heard that moronic Richmond supporter on the radio – Mario from Doncaster - who is always microwaving his membership card. Well, the marketing department at Punt Road has developed a microwave-proof membership card. Ask for Nathan. He’ll give you an apron and what not – we’re gonna make a commercial to publicise its launch.”
“Yeah, no worries Benny. Sounds like fun – grrrrr!”
I spent the next hour staring at the clock. Sure enough, Dusty rang through on the mobile and reported success with the latest venture. A microwave, painted in yellow and black, had demonstrated the resilence of the new membership card over the old. It was time to move onto the third challenge.
“Dusty, as you yourself know, Richmond supporters love to spit – on you the players as you hobble up the race after a pounding; on each other and on themselves when their self-hatred goes off the Richter scale. We have to stop this practice. It is disgusting. Not even the pooches of the Port supporters exhibit this filthy behaviour. Now, it is a little known fact that there is a high calorific value to human spittle. We want to put the spittle of Richmond supporters to good use. We have developed a variant of the internal combustion engine that runs on spittle. I want you to head on down to Bartlett Motors and speak to my old friend Con. He’s got the prototype – the ‘Richo Rocket’ in the yard. Grab some chewy and work up some gorbies in your mouth – we’re gonna make an educational doco for the Richmond supporters with the aim of changing their behaviour. Here’s the schedule: we’re gonna film you doing all the bad things first – like imagining it is VFL Park back in 1991 and spitting on yourself – followed by the good things – like spitting into the petrol-tank. Reckon you can do it, Dusty? Cometh the hour, cometh the man?”
The star midfielder replied in the affirmative. That allowed me to weed the garden for the next hour or so. At that point I grabbed the mobile and rang Dusty.
“Mate, it’s Benny here. How did the doco get on?”
“No worries at all. I even had a drive of the Richo Rocket. It runs a bit rough but it’s a dream ride! Richmond supporters saving the planet - right on ! Grrrrr!”
“Dusty, you are a star,” I purred as the third video-file showed up in my Inbox. “The Richmond Football Club is proud of you. Now get to the ground and have a big one for the Mighty Tigers.”
“Grrrrr!”
The big match was upon us. Ever so deftly, my IT experts hacked into the MCG’s scoreboard and progressively played each of the three videos, accompanied by the livery and theme song of the mighty Richmond Football Club. What a larf it was. Goaded beyond endurance, the Richmond supporters turned on each like wild animals. Even the Richmond Grog Squad surpassed themselves in their bestial treatment of one another. Yes indeed: a streak of self-loathing lies at the heart of every Richmond supporter and it is a wonder to behold.
Deed by 95 points.

I guess either would be better though

Arnot for Jackson and Maric for King.

RICHMOND - In the Mix
Addam Maric is favoured to replace Jake King (knee) after being named second best in the Coburg Tigers' victory over Sandringham.
Hard-working Jeromey Webberley could also come in for King.
Tyrone Vickery's poor form leaves him open to demotion. Tom Derickx would be the like-for-like replacement, but Derickx probably needs to do a bit more with Coburg before making his AFL debut.
