Latest rumour doing the rounds from the Yahoo tigertalk site....

Yeah, I though so too, but my source sat in the Tiges coaching box every week, bar none. Krak to be traded west at his request, Tuck just too plain dumb to understand the game plan and a long way from the coach's favourite. I personally hope it's crap and both are with us next year but gee.. If it hadn't have come from this person I wouldn't have believed it either.

i agree about tuck, being dumb and slow and am all for getting rid of him, as for krak, if we can get a good trade , why not

Isn't Krak's family in Victoria now? ???
-
I've heard the one about Krak too from a reliable source.
He wants to go home, but only wants to be traded to W/C
Dunno about Tuck

Krak really doesnt measure up to any equivalent players at WCE...thats coz 99% of there list is better than Krak lol- At best on his own Krak will get us either a late 2nd round or late 3rd round pick from the Weagles. In this trade period there are better options. For mine Tuck is worth at best a late 3rd round pick but combining the two will get us a way better deal.

Krak's better than Sampi ;). If Richie Cole can go for a pick 23 then Krak's worth a first rounder. No point trading Krak or Tuck unless we can score another first round draft pick.
-
Ok, so what do we know.
8 likely list changes coming up (it has been mentioned). Does this include Chaff and Staff?
Kellaway, Humm, Roach, Rodan, Jackson, Moore, and a couple of trades? (Krak and Tuck?)
I just cannot see both being traded.
Keen to get another pick though.
Tuck and Krak to Nth for pick 3? Would you do it?
-
Tuck and Krak to Nth for pick 3? Would you do it?
If it was 2 for 2 and not 2 for 1 I'd consider it. We don't want to lose depth either. North can chuck in another pick (3rd rounder?)
I'd reckon you're pretty spot on with that departure list LT ;).
-
Krak & Tuck for Pick 3 is my most preferred deal ... I think Laidley would go for it and we should as well. 3 & 8 would put us in prime position. From my point of view...I sorta look at like this...will Krak or Tuck win us a grand final...i dont think they could, but p3 could be a matchwinner who could win us a grand final someday. therefore irrespective of the depth issue for the moment...Id be happy to take p3 if thats all they offered, if they offered a 3rd round pick as well thats a bonus, if theres no 2nd pick and they chucked in a Perry then that should be seen as a bonus.

The more I think (It's hard sometimes I know), and from what I pickup from TW, ie: last night on WLF he mentioned along the lines of
I would rather move on people that I know what they are capable of and keep the young fellas and give them a chance to show what they have.
This to me is saying more and more players like tucky and krak may be put up for bait - and the likes of Mgaune Lmibach Hughes are going to get a couple of years to show what they have.
How old is Cogs ?
May be a few surprises along the way this summer, and there will be a few fans jumping up and down - But I trust that in the end it will be for the best.
A FOOTBALL DECSION :thumbsup :gotigers

To many of our supporters are to passionate about the players. I lost all that stuff when I as a kid I saw Raines and Cloke and Wood walk out the door and stuff my footy club, all I believe in now is the club. The club is bigger than any player and what we need is to have a coach who pulls the trigger on blokes when its required, no matter how popular they are, no matter how fancy there nicname, or even if theyre good blokes. If you cant play you shouldnt be at Richmond and more importantly if your not gonna be in a group of 28-29 players vying for a spot in a premiership side you shouldnt be there either.

thats the prob, too many tiger fans are plain stupid and think every player on our list is fantastic and untouchable, eg kellaway. ffs, our team really is crap, we need a lotta changes to be made to become elite again
thats why no one is untradeable, and untouchable. the club comes first and alsways should.
and when players get traded and delisted, stiff poo, no sentimental crap from me, its about time we had a coach who wasnt afraid to clean out all the poo from tigerland, not just the possum poo from 2 yrs ago!!!

I'm 50%. ;D
Making unpopular decisions on players who don't fit into the plans of where the coaching/football departments want to get the team to - all for it 100%.
Not being passionate about the players, you've got to be kidding - 0%. (No idea what "too passionate" is)
The players are the club on matchdays. I support the whole club but when I go to the footy I'm cheering for the players, not the board or the medical staff or the trainers. I don't understand how anyone who has no passion about the players can believe in the club or would even be bothered. Each to their own.
I don't know of any Richmond supporters who even remotely think everyone on our list is fantastic and untouchable. They are sad when a player they have supported and been passionate about finishes up though. I'm the same.

Some supporters in the RFC members have a special way of "cheering" for their "favourites" ;D.

I don't think anybody would be "stupid and think every player on our list is fantastic and untouchable". Just some of us don't think that you can cut 20 players in a year. I am sure a bunch of 1st, 2nd and 3rd year players getting smashed by 100 points teaches them heap and moves us closer to our goal of a premiership. NOT!!!!
Change has to be gradual with the way the draft and trading is set up in the AFL. Are the Tigers going to win a flag next year? - No way. The year after that? Possible but not likely. 2009? Maybe.
I believe that some players have more to offer that just "run fast next year". There is a lot more to each team (just look at the top teams) than just fast guys and sometimes clubs need to keep guys on the list that are not going to be on our next premiership team. There are many reasons e.g. team balance, experience, club cuilture, traning of the young guys, etc etc. Some of these are reasons are very hard to see on the field in any particular game. That doesn't mean they are not important.
Let me see - a player that was still in our top 22 or a 6th round draft pick of " PASS" ? I know what I would do.
It very hard for those outside of the club (that’s me and most of you) to see what each player is worth in terms of balance, sprit, etc. We just have to trust the guys making the decisions know what they are doing. We can agree or disagree but in the end it means nothing and doesn’t make us "plain stupid". We all have to go with the Club, for better or worse (a bit like a marriage).
Anyway back on track for this thread. Trade Krak to WCE ? Sure, but I don't think there is anything we really want that they would be prepared to give up for him. Best hope for us would be draft picks. IMHO

I heard a rumor the other day, about a coupla good,Aussie blokes named Krak and Tuck.
Still LMAOOOOOOO @ How much it sounds like they're a coupe of Geisha Boys.
-
I dont think Ive ever said anywhere we should chuck out 20 blokes in 1 go. I think we should chuck 7 or 8 out a year until there all out. I dont understand why some people persist in trying to misquote me or repeat statements ive never made. As for cheering players and supporting players well of course people cheer and shout and get emotional, but for me, I never let the sacking of any player get to me, the club is was and always will be bigger and more important than any player or their contribution.
-
there is no reason why the team cant trade or delist up to 13 players in 1 yr. why do we persoist on resigning or keeping players who are just not up to it.
for example, hall and tiv are both up for a new contract, if we cant trade them why not just delist them and pick up 2 kids in their place. hall and tiv for example will never offer us anything so why keep them

FLMFAFOOOOOOOOOOOOO@ your Avatar Ox. :rollin All we need to do is put a tiger jumper on him and make him run the lines. People will think he is the new Bruce Doull.

There is no reason (provided they are uncontracted) why you couldn't delist that many but you need to replace them all given that a full senior list of 38 is now compulsory. If we delist 13 say then we'd need 13 picks and most of those picks would be late in the draft (picks 70+) where you have a low probability of picking up someone decent. You might get lucky with one and score another Raines but most likely you'd be picking up kids or recycled duds who will never make it. No point delisting players for the sake if it. The system doesn't allow for the necessary changes to be made in a single year. You have to be proactive say during trade week but change is still a gradual process.

Seems the latest rumour is Tuck to North and no Ramps didn't spread this unless he's posing as a Roos supporter on BF lol.

I can be a shifty prick sometimes but I can confirm I am NOT posing as a Roos supporter on any forum including big footy.
I have concerns however that some of you on here feel I could be that shifty lol.
As billy joel once sang...I am an innocent man...
or maybe I am that shifty and Im peeing myself laughing with what Im reading on bigfooty as a result...
lets hope i wont be singing jail break anytime soon ;D
-
Will Laidley trade away pick 3 in probably the best draft of all time? You wouldn't back against it that's for sure on his past record.
-
North supporters are now getting excited with the thought of nabbing Shane Tuck from us. Just reading big footy. Some of there supporters are now saying some of there number have an obsession in getting Tuck to Arden St lol.

Whoevers coordinating the internet campaign for Tuck to go to North should be working for Richmond. There could be a very devious mind at work- coz North people are now running the campaign. Good campaign and I admit I agree with it!
I reiterate, I am not posing as a North supporter on Big Footy, I have NEVER posed as a North supporter anywhere at anytime.
I have no further comment ;D

How is it my fault that some of there supporters agree with the recruiting, how is it my fault if there supporters are ringing up there club urging the North leadership to get on and do the deal. Its not my fault. I go about my daily business and i come in here and have a laugh with you guys. Im Innocent I tell yas ;D :lol :cheers

Tuck finishing 10th and Krak outside the top 10 in the B&F won't help their trade value though. Still the trade rumours persist :whistle.
-
Been away for the week (in the Greek islands feasting) and interested to hear that the rumour might have some merit. Interesting comments from KJ at the B&F.
What else is bubbling away?
-
People are saying that SEN have reported the deal could be on. Is that true?
-

Haven't heard any specific deal but we'll have to wait and see ;). I hope though we don't just swap first picks in trading a player away. Depth wise we lose from that chasing a potential gun.
-
A couple of rumoured trades doing the rounds but both seem fantasiful. The first one is Tuck and Krak for North's Pick 3. Then there's Krak, Tuck, Pick 8 for Pick 3 plus a Roo. Also heard talk of Krak heading West.
Don't you love this time of year lol.
-
Worst made-up trade goes to this Roos fan
Tuck, Hyde, Polo & Pick 8 for Picks 3, 37, Watt & Makepeace

One thing I heard a few weeks back was the Eagles might be very interested in Krak if they offloaded Sampi but that seems out the window now that Sampi has signed a new one-year deal with the Eagles.
-
According to Bigfooty theres a rumour 4 clubs are interested in Shane Tuck, Id stick up the link but its not working from my pc. Looks like I need to have a look at my pc...its stuffing me around.
-
This one Ramps....
Latest info is that 4 clubs are chasing Shane Tuck, maybe they see him as a hard at it midfielder in the middle, Essendon interest has only just emerged from last 2 or so days with Johnson and Solomon gone, Melbourne chasing hard for Johnson but will look at Tuck seriously if they fail on Johnson, Blues are contemplating Tuck as a big midfielder that can protect Murphy and maybe Gibbs and take the innitial brunt so there young kids dont get knocked about and the Roos are still sniffing around Tuck and Krak but I dont understand why unless they reckon they can do something with a Perry but Tuck would cost Perry and a pick in the 20s maybe.

Carlton - They won't give up their first pick and we'd want more than their second rounder (17 or 19). Thorton perhaps comes into play.
Essendon - Same as the Blues except they have no players out of contract to offer that we'd want. Sheeds and Miller don't see eye to eye either.
Melbourne - The Dees would have to cough up their first pick (12?) or perhaps a Brad Miller? + pick.
Roos - We'd want their first pick but unless Laidley makes it third time lucky after Thompson and Hay then the Kangas wont trade it. Perry + 2nd rounder (#21) perhaps with either pick 21 or our 26 ontraded to get someone else (Polak/Thorton).
-
I reckon that Terry Wallace would give serious thought if we were offered 12 or 17. 12 would certainly be looked at and if they are looking at someone like a Caleb Mourish then 17 may also be come into play.
-
Some deluded Blues supporters out there...
Tuck and the Tiges' second rounder for Thorton and our third rounder?
Pick 8 -> Pick 17 + Player X
Player X could be someone who is fringe for us, but still has some potential...
Deluca? (thy like there big forward lines)
Bannister? Tallish, youngish running defender
Sporn? Showing signs...finally

Meanwhile Miller denied the Tigers had offered up goalsneak Andrew Krakouer for trade.
"That is not right, all we did is tell clubs (on the opening day of trade week on Monday) that we had an abundance of inside midfielders and that we were prepared to listen to offers but so far no-one has contacted us," he said.
