Coburg's 2008 VFL Draw

Chutney sauce has some early info on Coburg's draw for next year:

* 20 round VFL season.

* Coburg start the season at home against Geelong (ABC TV game).

* Coburg play Collingwood on the Saturday of the Mothers' day weekend (day of the VIC -v- All star). Another ABC TV game.

* Coburg and Geelong will play again in round 7 at the MCG as a curtain raiser to the Richmond vs Geelong game.

The fixture will see 14 clubs compete for the VFL Premiership Cup. The clubs are as follows:

Not a bad draw for the Burgers on paper. Only one trip outside Melbourne to Ballarat.

Only two ABC TV games is disappointing for a side that finished runners-up especially when "unknown" Collingwood ressies gets favoured at VFL level just as much as the Pies do in the AFL  ::).
