Wee needed both types of players - that's why sometimes it's good idea to try and trade for more high picks...
Draft KPP or genuine mids, big bodied even better....... (Trade for ruckman)
Mids can play HF HB and in the pockets.
Sounds pretty simple.

Take a look at the doggies this year and the amount of mids that rotate through middle and rest on a flank or in a pocket.

We have too many flankers

Had an excellent game. Very clever.

Shame he didn't slot more through the middle.

Captain next year, dead set leader in every way!!! Bleeds for this club.
DIMMA - You will be held ACCOUNTABLE...

“We are really excited about what we have brought in. We have got great depth of players that can take us where we need to go. We are just putting some cream on the top at the moment,” he said.

It's a shame that those who are first to have a crack at Jack won't even be the last to achnowlege his efforts.
Great game.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Is clearly off with his touch around goal at the moment, missing many he scored without much trouble last season. Not sure what the issue is, maybe like everyyone else in the side until last night, with low confidence comes a drop off in execution.

Totally agree. His tackling was also very good. He did a lot of Gut running too.

He's very up and down with his goal kicking over the years IMO. Goes through periods where he's a dead eye then the next he gets in a slump.

Excellent game though. Truly turning into a work horse like his cousin :clapping

Not sure Jack's confidence in himself is ever low...

Been good this season. His work rate and tackling is absolutely outstanding these days.

Jack Riewoldt will put his body on the line anywhere on the field. Riewoldt loves a goal and most forwards will stand under a high ball if they know they’re a chance to score a goal. But Riewoldt put himself in harm’s way on the wing despite knowing he was going to get crunched by Lee Spurr.

Loved the way Jack read the ball in the air last night.  When we were kicking into the wind he wrestled with opponents making them defend the wrong position, then broke away at just the right time to take a simple chest mark!  Brilliant judgement & really smart body work!  Beautiful kick at goal from 40 out into the wind in the first quarter.  All class is Jack!    :thumbsup
Once a Tiger, always a Tiger!  Loud, proud & dangerous!
