Great stuff Jack  :clapping.

Only 5 games off 300. So barring injury, Jack could finish up with the second most games played for the Club.

Sensational. I'm so happy for him (and us). I thought he was heading for a cliff last year and earlier this year. Happy to be proven wrong again and again.

As a richmond supporter, Campbell didn’t want to surpass the top three elite so retired before 300 games and rightly so.
As serviceable as Campbell was, he couldn’t even tie the sandals of any of those players.

Jack Reiwoldt has proven to be worthily named amongst the established tiger legends and we are lucky to have had him in our team.
In my time watching I haven’t seen a player with such a high footy IQ, he reads the game and sets up goals by doing things that some players didn’t even realise he was even doing (sideshowbobvickery).

It’s certainly a great achievement and I’m glad he will get there

Jack on 360 confirmed he has re-signed for next year  :thumbsup. He thought he didn't have his best year in 2020 but he feels he's played pretty good footy this year.

Robbo also let slip that Jack told him off-camera that he once played with broken ribs for 6 weeks straight with painkillers.

There’s an excellent series of articles about Jack written by Konrad Marshall covering different perspectives on him from those in the footy world and his family. A must read during the build up to his 300th.
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Richmond star reveals contract call on AFL 360

David Zita
Fox Sports
June 23rd, 2021

Richmond star Jack Riewoldt has confirmed he has “formally agreed” to a one-year contract extension, which will see him play on into a 16th year.

Riewoldt, who was out of contract at year’s end, has had a resurgent season, kicking 34 goals from 13 games after booting just 33 from 21 games in 2020.

The 32-year-old confirmed the news on Tuesday night’s edition of AFL 360.

“I actually haven’t signed a bit of paper but I’ve formally agreed to hang around for another year,” he said.

“I’m super excited obviously. I’ve actually never gone into the last year of a contract - we’ve always sort of renegotiated with a year to go.

“It played on my mind a bit early on - obviously last year I didn’t have as good a year as I would’ve liked. This year I feel like I’ve played good footy and been able to keep myself in really good condition and I think my football is doing the talking for me at the moment.

“Rapt to be onboard and back at Tigerland next year.”

Hopefully he's over the yips like a batsman in the 90's.

Hasn't been going for marks. Always looking for taps etc. Honestly I was starting to wonder if he has a broken finger.

ESTEEMED COMPANY

Five days before he is due to play his 300th game, Jack Riewoldt notched another significant milestone after the half-time siren on Sunday. With the Magpies having cut the margin back to 11 points on the back of a strong 10 minutes, the veteran spearhead soared to take an impressive mark in heavy congestion as the seconds ticked down to the long break. Riewoldt went back and slotted his first major of the game, in doing so becoming the 24th player to kick 700 goals in VFL/AFL history. Only Kevin Bartlett, Jack Titus and Matthew Richardson had previously achieved the feat for Richmond.

That's fantastic and he deserves the accolades but he had a shocker yesterday and is one of the leaders that just didn't stand up 8n the end. Enough of the cute stuff Jack, grab the ball and hit a target.

Jack had a mare yesterday but has had an amazing career I am very grateful for.
His effort in the goal square against Maynard in the last quarter when Lynch kicked it to him was as poor as I have seen effort wise, he just gave up.
