Grimes had a great year, but I reckon Jack gets it.

“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

Cotch getting everyone to stand up and hug the person next to each other. Did the same thing on That's Good for Footy last week.

Celebrate the journey not the destination (which we didn't achieve this year). Celebrate the little things that unite us.

We must evolve. The game changes and so must we in 2019. Learn from 2018 just as we did from 2016.

Hardest thing in football is to say goodbye to those leaving.

-----------------------------

Team up on stage now. Looks like the full list is there including Griffs & Hampson. Garth on crutches.

Dimma now:

Still raw. Hard to watch the Grand Final.

It's a harsh reality. No guarantees in September. A missed opportunity no doubt but by no means the end of our journey.

We're a proud group. Harsh lessons from the prelim loss will drive us to improve so we can cope with whatever is thrown at us in the future.

Said it was a good 2018 season and congratulated our 4 All-Australians, Jack winning the Coleman & Higgo for his goal of the year plus playing all 22 games in his first year (a delight to coach).

There is always change at the end of a season. Wished those leaving (no player names mentioned) including Rutten all the best.

Quoted Floyd Patterson who was the first heavy-weight fighter to win the title; then lose (to a underdog; was knocked down 7 times); then regain the title: "It was worth losing the title for this. This is the most gratifying moment of my life. I'm a real champion now."
