Petterd sent back at Tigers

RICHMOND rookie Ricky Petterd has impressed in his first official hit-out in the yellow and black, playing across half-back in the Tigers' intraclub match on Friday morning....

...The only blight was when Matt White appeared to injure his right foot in the third quarter.

The midfielder came off and had it treated on the sidelines before testing it out at the final change. He then headed into the rooms and wasn't seen again.

The club later confirmed White was fine and had only suffered bruising...

did anyone from the red team get a touch?

That wasn't a practice match just a series of training drills for the probables

Looks like it needs to be re-laid. Think they started using it too soon. Has dried out, join lines visible again, doesn't look like it has knitted at all any more. Certainly doesn't look like the 'G.

Probably needs some rain on it or perhaps they should do what they do at Augusta for the Masters and plant rye grass amongst the browned off grass to make it look green for the tournament.

rain what is rain  :rollin

Always thought they started using it too early, especially considering how dry it's been since late November

Sam Lonergan on twitter (he showed a pic  :P ). On Ch 7 news now too.

Maric copped one in the chin too but it was only a nick.

Today was the first time Lonergan and Kingy joined in full training.

A few players were in odd positions.
