Newman probably saved the match for us with that game saving tackle on the wing in dying minutes that would have resulted in a certain goal. Make up what you like, thems the facts  :shh

The facts are that tackle was the only, repeat ONLY thing he all day. Apart from that he was pathetic. Today proved again he isn't in our best 22

Kam McIntosh gave us more as the sub than Newman did for the entire game, thems the facts

Hopefully McIntosh is enjoying being a sub to accommodate Christopher  :)

since when is one act of acceptable football for the entire game the benchmark?

Stuff me, i could get a game and hold my spot if thats all that is required, and I'm 46.

Reckon if Dimma has forced changes he will keep changes to a minimum

Though i'd go as far as:

Out: Maric (sus), Griff (inj), Newman (omit), Gordon (omit)
In: Hampson, Mcbean, Lennon, Donut,
The anywhere, anytime Tigers.

U mean the one where he was run down and all he could do in the end was fall on the ball and push it out to a team mate?
Yeh, that was amazing.
You know good footy!

The Barometer - Round 15
Herald-Sun
July 6, 2015

RICHMOND

ON THE BLOCK:
Ivan Maric was reported for elbowing Jack Steele in the face and the MRP might also look at a late spoil by Trent Cotchin. Ben Griffiths was subbed off with a shoulder injury. Kane Lambert was better but still touched the footy only eight times. Taylor Hunt is just doing enough to hold his spot and Kamdyn McIntosh might have a permanent gig as the sub after having an impact late for the second week running.

ON THE CUSP: With Griffiths in doubt Liam McBean timed his return to form perfectly, booting four goals in a low-scoring VFL win against North Ballarat. Ben Lennon had 25 touches, Matt Dea registered 23 and a nice long-range goal and Chris Knights did some nice things in his comeback from a severe hamstring injury. A Maric suspension could open the door for Shaun Hampson’s return from the footy wilderness against his old side.

AL PATON’S FORECAST: Good teams find a way to win when they aren’t playing well, and the Tigers did exactly that to come from 15 points down at three-quarter time against the Giants. Good teams also record comfortable stress-free wins against teams well below them on the ladder and Richmond needs one of those against the Blues on Friday night. This would be a good time to get a break in percentage on the Dogs and bridge some of the gap to Collingwood.

Big week for Vickery coming up. He will have to be number 1 ruckman.
So McBean will come in to play forward.
Chaplin to maybe play forward and Dea to take his roll down back.
Really thought Houli was poor on the weekend but being one of Dimma's favourates no way he will drop him. His tackling was below AFL standard by a long way.
We really need to get better at putting opposition sides under tackling pressure. Finals footy is completely different than H&A footy, pressure steps up and the game is a played a lot closer in. If we want to be able to compete we need yo tackle a lot better than we do and a hell of a lot more often.

We had better be ready for the Blues or they will pull our pants down.
