Trent Cotchin“Trent’s a probable for this week. Out of the Collingwood game (Round 6), he hurt his knee . . . He actually improved quite quickly during the week. He fully trained the main session last week, but then the next day he had a bit of a sore calf. The fluid from the knee had leaked down into the calf. So we just made the call, look, let’s wrap him up this week and give him a weekend off. Hopefully he resumes training this week, and we’ll see how he goes.”
Shaun Grigg“Just at the end of the Collingwood game, ‘Grigga’ cramped up in his hamstring and he was generally sore through the week. Then, by the time we got to the main session, he did notice that he was more specifically sore in his lower hamstring and he just felt it in that session, albeit very minimal. We just took the safe option and gave him a break . . . Whether he comes into the side this week or not, I’m not too sure. We’ll assess him later in the week.”
Oleg Markov“Oleg, the week before (in the VFL v Werribee), had a sore ‘quad’ during the game and it gradually got sorer. He had a very minor quad strain. So that’s really a one-week injury . . . We’ll have a look at him later in the week as well. Whether he plays this weekend or not, I’m not too sure. At this stage he’s 50-50.”
Nathan Drummond“‘Drummo’ got a hamstring strain the other night during the Bulldogs (VFL) game, which was pretty disappointing. He’s had a good run since his ACL surgery in the pre-season. He’ll probably miss the next two to three weeks.”
Ben Miller“Ben Miller got a very low-grade concussion during the game (VFL v Footscray). He was feeling fine. We’ll have to do his test later in the week, but we expect him to play this weekend.”
