Coburg Reserves had a win, but it was pretty ugly in the end.

First half was played pretty well but after half time it turned ugly and the last qtr was very ordinary with players from both teams constantly turning it over.

Alot of players cramped up really badly today in both reserves and seniors, the centre wicket area was very hard from the cricket season and not sure how much impact this had on that.

Putty looked very dangerous up forward today especially in the second qtr, i like the look of this kid. Cass was ok, got through the game well, he appears pretty fit and was constantly running to to present again after disposiing of the ball. Rance played well at both ends of the ground and really competes hard and gives a great contest. Gourdis was ok down back but still has a lot to learn on his defensive game.

In addition to the best players, i thought Josh Jones & Tas Clingan were also very good.

Also Collard could be anything if he gets his head straight. He is so well balanced and has fantastic skills and awareness. He just needs to be fitter and get some more hunger to be an AFL player. Has some much talent its not funny.

Happy to answer any questions that people may have.

Putt should be developed as a Full Forward rather than a ruckman IMHO.

Doesn't have the body strength at the moment to be ruckman. But I like the idea of him learing the ropes as a forward. He is relatively mobile for his height

Did Josh Riddle play TFL?

I see that Matty Vasaleski was named as one of the best - silky skills has young Matthew

as i said , richo should be gaspared and give this kid a go

X - Dean Putt is not ready for AFL footy.

I am all for playing the kids but lets not throw them in there to get destroyed.

Learning the ropes at Coburg and working his way up through the ranks is going to be far better for the likes of Putt, Rance and Gourdis that chucking them to the wolves now.

The ones that should be promoted are Hughes, Reiwoldt etc. Lets give the first years guys who need time some time

idont belive that

every team plays kids

except us

maybe we should stop picking kids that are not ready

kids learn fast

look at patto, he was not ready las yr to be our no1 ruck

and now he is

putt and any of these kids after  some continuity in the seniors will gain confidence and be ready

the dawks and saints built teams full of kids

we have been to scared too

can tell u now, if we leave jack, cleve , putt whover up fwd they would do better than richoi

even jay plays ff better than richo

its time we got nasty and sacked all senior players and let the kids develop on the big stage

pendles and thomas had bodies like 12yo girls but were stilled played and persisted with

i dont but the excuse that they are not ready

if they are good enough to make it to the draft and be selected , they are ready

the game is football., they will adapt to the pace very quickly

dheads like richo, bowden, petts, brown, simmds, tiv, polak etc are all finished and not part of our future so why pewrsist with these tools

we do no benefit one bit by playing these wankers and holding back our future

Any reason TFL why Rance isn't playing VFL seniors?
