This absolute gun  :clapping

Can we all take a moment to appreciate that run and chase down on Stephenson when he started out of the camera shot from behind another tiger (think broad?) and absolutely put the burners on speeding past him and making the tackle which led to the turnover  :bow

Has to be in consideration for at the very least the AA squad.
I’d have Grimes over Hurn any day of the week.

Grimey wiped that prick out good.  I noticed after Varcoe's crappy bump on Prestia a few of our blokes started putting the tackle bag tackles on, some of them hit just after they get rid of the ball and all you can see is the poor bastard sliding away like he just got hit by a hi lux.

Reliable Richmond backman Dylan Grimes may still be under-rated throughout the football world, but within the four walls at Tigerland there’s no doubting his importance to the team.

Grimes goes about his football business with minimum fuss and maximum efficiency.

He is averaging 11.4 disposals, 6.2 intercepts, 5.2 one-percenters, 3.2 marks and 3.7 tackles per game, but those statistical numbers alone don’t adequately indicate Grimes’ value within the Richmond line-up.

His closing speed is elite, enabling him to consistently thwart opposition forwards’ scoring opportunities.

Dimma post-game gave Grimesy a big wrap. Praised his 1-on-1 and intercept work and said he'd be right up there in our B&F.

Does acts of brilliance up back that equal or better anything a key forward like Buddy or Jack can conjure up. That intercept spoil in the first q was sublime
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

BOG for mine last night.

He has taken his game from a really decent stopper to a very good attacking defender whos intercept marking is a highlight.
