In the Ty category, wont be dropped, unfortunately injuries are happening to the wrong players and injuries are the only way they go out the side. Why dont Hunt or BEllis ever seem to get injured, probably tells a bit of a story in itself.

You are indicating that Taylor Hunt is soft, which is the dumbest thing I've read on this forum.

He tries his guts out, but is a pathetic kick of the footy.

Bellis sleeps with the light on and still tosses and turns and sweats in the night in a panic as the imaginary boogie man sneaks up on him.

Ellis should run around with a white flag in his pocket. He can just hold it up every time he is in a contest then.

Watching live I thought his contest with Firrito in the 1st was solid. Then I saw the replay and he literally dropped the ball when he saw Firrito running at him before he was hit. Embarrassing. His complete inability to dispose of the ball when he receives contact is dumbfounding for someone of his physique

Made Robbo's dislike column today:

3. Brandon Ellis

He’d wake up with cold sweats thinking about Sam Gibson. Clearly, he is Ellis’s bogeyman. On Friday night, Gibson had Ellis for 87 minutes and kept him to seven possessions. In the elimination final last year, it was 88 minutes and 10 disposals. Gibson’s strategy is simple; no easy switch possessions for Ellis, who likes to get loose on the other side of the ground. Ellis’s problem is compounded because he doesn’t change his game and become a ball hunter.

All the competition's tough players make Brandon scared. He has shirked hard contests from day one. However, he has been allowed to play without contested ball commitment since he started so it has been condoned. And he is certainley not alone in this area. Two thirds of our list are exactly the same. Right now we have another player or another Ellis (Corey) doing the same. This guy was receuited as a inside mid. Yet has has never been seen on the bottom of a pack ever just like Brandon.

The end result is there is no toughness at Richmond. When we lost  Coughlan, Tuck, Jackson and Foley we lost our strength as a club. We mighy as well join the A League.
Is this due to coaching, recruiting or culture??

agree cracker, Cellis is going down the same path as his namesake. Its coaching and culture, this behaviour is obviously accepted as it happens so regularly
