Chris Scott still sooking about playing games at the 'G  :sleep

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Geelong coach Chris Scott has hit back at Gillon McLachlan's "furphies" that the Cats should play home finals at the MCG because it's a venue where they host home and away matches.

Now he's having a sook about us and our fixture  :lol.

--------------------------------------------------------

The 2011 premiership coach then proceeded to question the fairness of Richmond’s remaining six home fixtures at the MCG.

“I’ll tell what I did give a bit of thought to, is the fact that Richmond have won an inordinate number of games in a row at the MCG, and we’re facing that sort of scenario again,” Scott said.

“There is every possibility that Richmond could play their last seven games at their home venue at the MCG, not qualify for a home final, but play their first final at their home venue for the eighth time in a row.

“I think there is some paranoia around the competition about home ground advantage because everyone acknowledges how important it is.

“If you told someone in the US for example that a team could play at the Grand Final venue for the last seven times in a row and then not qualify for a home final but still play the MCG, I think they would laugh at us.”

Geelong are pushing to host a home qualifying final at GMHBA Stadium if it draws an interstate club.

Have absolutely no issue with Geelong hosting a final down at the hell hole against an interstate club

But suggest they should host a final against a Victorian Club is laughable. Forget who their opponent might be. Fact is more than half of their very own members would not be able to attend

Not quite sure how Crying Chris would go about explaining that to his ferals.

What’s wrong Scotty? No confident you can dish out another 12 goal thumping with all our players back?

Whateley was the one who interviewed him and barely pushed him on that at all.

We play co tenants (away) in two of those games and Carlton as the third away game (and when was the last time we played Carl away at somewhere other than the G, 97?)

We also have traveled 5 times this year like everybody else.

I would love our club to fire back at them.

Why is the stuffhead even talking about our club?

IMO, even if the are scheduled to play an interstate team in the finals, particularly if it’s WC, why should their supporters not be able to attend that final if it’s in Geelong?
They would get 20k travelling supporters as a minimum. Why shouldn’t they all get the chance to watch a their team in a final?

Actually I would like the AFL to fire back too at Scott’s comments.
This idiot needs to be put back in his box.

It’s 1967 all over again.

They still haven’t let that go and they still clearly haven’t let the ‘17 Q final loss go. They were smashed by a hungrier, superior team that night but it’s easier to cry foul and throw up nonsense like home ground advantages and crowds being loud and mean!!!

They don’t call them the handbaggers for nothing.
