Positives from today's game?
« on: August 08, 2010, 05:02:50 PM »
In the game for 3 and a bit quarters. Outclassed by not disgraced unlike in round 4 after half-time.

Other positives?

Although he didnt get a lot of the ball i liked what i saw from Hicks today.
Think he will end up a Milne like annoying little turd for other teams.

McGuane on the other hand, 5 disposals  :help

* 58 - 47 inside 50s. The gameplan is fine. Need more quality and class and a more multi-potent forward line to make the most of our patches with the momentum.

* Morton showing the time he spent in the VFL working on his deficiencies is starting to pay off.

* Gus learning which bench is the Richmond one  :lol

Browne competed well although their rucks really took over in the 2nd half. He needs to learn to kick the right way!
It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

That could have happened because the ump indicated the wrong way when he blew the whistle to give gus the free.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

loved Morton's game.

had every bit of Pettifer's game up until Dimma sent it back to Coburg.

He is a different player and must stay at Punt Road.

Mcguane. 450k  :banghead:banghead :banghead :banghead WTF were we thinking?????? Ditto Farmer

Liked Browne today also.

Andrew Gaff welcome to Punt Road.

We will have pick 6 and that probably means Caddy, Atley or Gorringe.

agree on the sentiments on MM, is turning into a far more productive player than the flashy HFF we used to know...if he can improve on what weve seen in last foirtnight which hasnt been too shabby then we have a player and a half on our hands :shh

Positives
inside 50's count was good,
broke even at hardball gets and clearances.
like others have mentioned MM looks like hes turning into a more complete player,
like how players such as King and White bring something to the table almost every week now, players that were certain goners 6 months ago.
Browne, very raw but is showing glimpses, prob more than i expeced at this stage
Gus kicking a few and puttng himself in those positions, needs to keep striving to improve bc his bad games are still unacceptable

Negatives -
McGuane
Connors, absolutely horrible, crucified us with poor disposal/decision making a number of times today.
The way we allowed Melbourne to spread and expose us on the break.
Moore, Is this bloke injured? He is a tremendous athlete, agile and fast but this season his lateral movement has been pathetic. whats going on?

If we get Sean Atley I would lose my nut. The kid is a superstar IMO.

 :clapping :clapping agree

But to me it was a typical Dan Connors game  ;D dumb & selfish decisions
