Ive got to admit I gave this guy no hope at all. But I've seen approx 2 vfl games this year and what I've seen of Soldo made me surprisingly optimistic.

I hope the fellow does well enough in the big leagues so we never have to talk of the Hamspud ever again

The unfortunate thing for poor Soldo is that some site experts have written him off already.

So therefore when this green young fella does get a game and struggles early on I can only imagine how they will be pumping themselves as "getting another one right".

Who is the site expert who has written him off? Most people would just be expecting him to provide a contest, nothing more and nothing less.

Griifths and Elton are supposed to be kpfs not ruckmen. Soldo just needs to do what Nankervis did compete hard at the ruck contest and throw his weight around when the ball hits the ground.
If he can take the odd mark around the ground great.
Good or bad what a great learning curve for the kid AFL exposure and some sort of idea of what it will take to become a good ruckman.Good or bad game it is a win win for us.

I think he'll do well vs the bulldogs and might suprise a few people. Particularly if he is rested at chf enough as his endurance isnt quite a strength as yet. 

I thought he was impressive against Collingwood in the JLT series. From memory he came on after half time and played rotating ruck/chf. Kicked 1.2, took a number of marks in the f50 and linked up with multiple score involvements.
