What a joke

Why?

Thursday night is a stupid timeslot, driven by TV

It is not family friendly, crap for people who work and have early starts  :banghead :banghead

Would think the game that is going to get the biggest crowd would be primetime on Friday
Sounds like you did care about the scheduling after all??

Have answered you on the other thread

But actually explained it here in what you've quoted but you seem to to be ignoring my main point about Thursday night football

So I will make it very clear I'm against any games on Thursday night. Not finals, ALL Thursday night games

I don't see the need for any games on Thursday nights at any point in the season
I understand your point about Thursday night footy but I bet you watch it when it’s on.
It’s about getting more exposure for the AFL and it’s about money. It’s a business and any business with the opportunity for more exposure, more money and more grouth will do it.
I agree Thursday nights are a pain if your team is playing but if they are not, it’s another night of footy we all get to watch on TV.

The other time slot that isn’t really family friendly is the Sunday 3:20 game as by the time some get home it’s late and with work and school the next day. But who doesn’t like to sit down Sunday afternoon/evening and watch more footy??
Believe it or not it’s about money and exposure.

It’s nothing new and it’s not going away even if people have to work the next day.

Some startling stats from last Thursday:

We forced the most forward half turnovers for the year; 27 ground ball wins I50 which delivered 9 goals; & we didn’t take a CM I50.

Hawks brought it out of D50 on 43 occasions & made it I50 just 6 of those times.

Unreal.

There’s been a lot of commentary about our Qualifying finals opponent Hawthorn’s rebuild, young list and less experience etc.

But here are the actual facts   :shh

RICHMOND
TOTAL AGE: 25y 311d
Career Games (W-D-L W%): 2644 (1493-24-1127 56.47%)

HAWTHORN
TOTAL AGE: 26y 104d
Career Games (W-D-L W%): 2780 (1766-19-995 63.53%)

Both teams with 7 players under 60 games.  :shh
