It sucks immensely to finish just outside the 8 but I felt 2012 was our best year because the team had a better on field attitude (beat Hawthorn and Sydney and didn't get spanked by North Melb).

No doubt. But getting players 100% fit for a real crack next year will also be important. Why play players injured and then have surgery after the season and miss pre-season? What's the point of that?

Doing a Melbourne and playing your ruck as a small defender, a medium forward as a ruck etc is what got them in that mess.
