I've seen who you all really are and it is not to be encouraged.  :help

Back to topic, I agree we are not cutting deep enough this year based on the reports. I also have heard a faint whisper that McMahon is GC bound which would be great; give us compo for someone we don't want and protect the rest of the list.

Cousins - Retired - will be missed made a contribution
Simmonds - Retired - unsighted all year although he went out early
Polak - Retired - unsighted all year - retired this week

McMahon - unsighted all year
Polo - unsighted all year
Thomson - unsighted all year
Roberts - unsighted all year
Nahas - unsighted for most of the year and struggled when he was here
Gilligan - unsighted all year

Hislop - may survive if the footy people decide 10 are to many changes!

So this list shows that losing these players will make no difference at all! Most have been unsighted all year (cousins excluded).

It'll make a difference.  The kids that come in will be pushing for selection.  Competition is good. :)

Good post Ramps.

Really interesting this. Gilligan, Polak and Roberts aren't real delistings seeing as they were rookies.

Cousins - Gourdis
Simmonds - O'Rielly

Polak - Rookie
Roberts - Rookie

Has Gillargan missed his chance?

I'd delist

McMahon
Thompson
Polo
Hislop

Nahas I don't rate but his 2nd half was pretty good today, his 1st half was shocking. He should be left up forward not in midfield.

Will that be enough?

I don't know if you mean these two will be taking their spots on the senior list
I certainly hope we keep both on the rookie list and then choose them as our nominated rookies on the senior list for next year so they don't need to be elevated to play

Hardwicks well and truly on the right track. If the changes go as we expect then it gives us another chance to bring in some players who will add to our club rather than having 8 or 9 blokes most of whom havent done alot this year. It should only mean one thing- We improve further in 2011.

We are still in a massive rebuilding phase.  You don't build talent you weed out those without it.

I would think if they are gonna drop 8 this week its the obvious ones and then they will try and trade 3 or 4 and if they can't they will drop them.

I predict 10-12 changes this year, including rookies, no sentiment.

There is no point keeping anyone on the list who wont make it.

Great line and very true. Ten changes including rookies sounds about right to me. Given what Hardwick said in his post match interview players such as Gourdis or Morton aren't going anywhere either.

The only players, besides the 3 retirements, that seem to be expendable and not 'developing' or have stepped up are McMahon, Polo, Thompson and Hislop from the prime list and Roberts and Gilligan from the rookie list. Nahas could also be moved on. That's 6(7) spots on the main list and 3 on the rookie.

LET THE CLEAN OUT BEGIN!

Hardwick, Hislop can not kick the football and must be delisted! Do not go soft and keep Hislop! Jake King who YOU sent back to Coburg has now played that forward-tackling role you had Hislop playing in the beginning!

King is A LOT better then Hislop!

O'Rielly probably not but Gourdis I think has done enough to suggest he deserves a spot on the list to be play Round 1 with the same chance of playing as McGuane or Thurstfield.

But if he's a nominated rookie then he can play from Round 1 anyway as he takes a place of a veteran we don't have, it's effectively a senior spot but gives us more flexibility
I would like to at least keep him on the rookie list going into the draft and then elevate him with a pick if there is no one left we want to take, will give us more options

But you have to nominate rookies to the main list before the draft.

I don't think you can do it after the draft
