Blame Blair, he traded (read did the deal, including recommended contract) to get Hampson, when we could have got McEvoy, Longer or a number of others. Actually Jon Giles ( the GWS version  ;D) would have been a better and cheaper option


Personally would have loved any of those blokes over our current situation.

I was really keen on Giles too but got laughed at a lot for suggesting him at the time.

Heck even that Andrew Phillips kid from GWS was one of four kids and a top pick traded to Carlton for a some pretty garbage picks. We really could have traded out our lower picks last year for points value alone...
