Darrel "Doc" Baldock Passes Away
« on: February 02, 2011, 08:14:38 PM »
Just read on Twitter that Darrel Baldock has passed away

"stkildafc St Kilda FC

The Club is deeply saddened by the passing of Club legend Darrel Baldock - a true champion. #gosaints "

Despite what people think of the Saints; Baldock was a champion and probably their best ever player

Still remember the fanfare when he came back to Melb in the 1980's to coach them
"Oh yes I am a dreamer, I still see us flying high!"

from the song "Don't Walk Away" by Pat Benatar 1988 (Wide Awake In Dreamland)

A sad day for footy. In fact a sad month losing two of the most skillful players to ever play the game. Baldock was ahead of his time and a champion.

RIP
