MT - thanks for the report. I've heard RCD has had  strong pre season. Did that show in the match sim? Did he stand out at all?
I didn't notice RCD as much as previous sessions. He was away for the past week (presumably covid related) and yesterday was his first day back. Prior to being absent he was killing it and I had Riley as our most improved so far this preseason.

In match sim was Ross playing in the ctr?
As far as I saw yes. Ross is definitely in the midfield group. Yesterday he was also doing repeat kicks from outside 50 to leading F50 targets.

Great to hear on both counts

I'll wait until I see more of Biggie in actual match conditions before pumping him up too much but I'm liking what I'm seeing from him. He's definitely improved over the offseason/preseason and he appears more confident in himself in terms of his decision making and execution. The week before he went one-on-one with Balta and had the better of Noah in the duel.

With Maurice Junior, his endurance seems to have improved. In the running drills he's up with the others now whereas in the past he would drop away. This issue right now though is his kicking over 30m. He's either struggling to get the penetration by foot or he's simply spraying his kicks. There's too many missed targets. Feels odd seeing that from a Rioli (Dan is flying on the other hand this preseason).

So is MRJ not getting distance in his kicks or is he just misding targets beyond the 30.

There was one pass that missed its target by a fair margin sideways. It's not like the error is kicking the ball too hard and far and over a teammate's head. It just feels like he's struggling to hit targets 30m+ away. Unless he's trying to nail some low skimming pass and not hitting it right, he appears to be lacking the penetration by foot to cover that distance with easy and control.

Anyway, it's something to keep an eye on.

I'm off to Bright the week after  :lol

Same as last year.

I remember last year the locals were super complimentary about our players and coaches

For anyone that has been to training recently, is there any hint as to any positional changes or game style changes? in particular our f50 entries under Teague etc?
