Which Rookie will rise?
« on: January 21, 2008, 08:28:39 PM »
In the past 3 years we've had at least one rookie or promoted rookie step and surprise us. Last year it was Kingy who took his chance and before him Axel and Thursty.

Who if any do you folks think it will be this year?

If he can get his poo together then Collard though he is only young so perhaps I am expecting too much. If Tambo has taken 3 years to get where he is then why should I expect more from Collard who's already been delisted from one club? I suppose it was Freo who delisted him so chances are he will be Andrew McLeod.  :pray  :lol

I also want vote Moore but you can only vote once.

I guessed Angus Graham as I feel he will be increasingly given the No. 2 Ruck position this year freeing up Patto to get experience in the forwardline.

I also think with his height, added bulk, experience and most importantly his increased responsibilty and value to the team as one of the few ruckmen,  he will be a big improver.

I would love to see Moore set up this year and carve out a concrete position in the team.

As always time will tell.

LOL RROFO. Yep Freo have made some absolute howlers trading away players who go on to become stars at other clubs.

I like the big Cat Silvester but as he's just been made a rookie he'll have to wait for his opportunity at AFL level. This year I'm hoping a bigger Kel can surprise so I'll got for him.

I watched all the under 18 champ games when Collard played and genuinely thought he was going to be something special. Had a bit of arrogance about him then and obviously he was one of WA's better players. I'm hoping he lacked that confidence at Freo and that was the reason for his demise.
If he can recapture some of that confidence, and rumour has it he showed plenty in the illegal praccy macth, he will be a weapon.

Gus is my bet.
Looks to have the most upside of that lot.

From the 4 rookies we have I'll go for Collard. Certainly looks like a ready made footballer.

From the former rookies now on the list I'd hope it would be Kel Moore but I am going for Gus :thumbsup

I wanted to vote for both Cartledge and Collard but went for Cartledge.
