yep for Richmond to go forward they need a list of fit & healthy players
not a list with 4 or 5 longterm injured players who hold the club back from progress
Not sure who those 4 or 5 long term injured players on the list are. But obviously that’s what has held the Club back till now.
In any case, I’d rather invest time and effort into Cogs and have him in my team any day; on one leg with one arm tied behind his back. But maybe you’re right TM. Fit and healthy players is what we need, because what could it say if we had players on our list who had to come back from adversity?
It might say that they have some ticker, resilience and the ability to persist. Hardly the traits you’d want in a player really and it’s not like resilience and persistence have been associated with RFC teams in recent times, so why ruin the track record now and find out if those traits even exist in players? Instead we’ll adopt your ‘use and abuse’ mentality. Much more rewarding and more likely to help build a premiership team than resilience and persistence ever could.
Weren’t the signs from trade week scary enough, without trying to rid the Club of any inside players that may be left on the list, injured or otherwise?
