Well, if it was just an ordinary board meeting, sometimes directors can't make it.
And I know of another who wouldn't have been there for it.
Was it a meeting with Sheeds? lol

This puts an end to talk of him becoming some financial messiah for the Club or even president.

RFC will need to look for a new signage sponsor at Punt Rd.

Luckily with the new development it should be easier.

The business may continue FFV but there won't be that Richmond connection with Ilhan no longer around.

Ilhan's legacy lives on
Herald-Sun | October 24, 2007

JOHN Ilhan's key business partners and senior executive team have vowed to continue building the Crazy John's brand after the sudden death yesterday of its charismatic founder.

Mustafa "John" Ilhan, 42, was one of Australia's most successful retailers who amassed a personal fortune believed to be worth more than $300 million.

Most of his wealth was generated through his Mobileworld Communications business which trades nationally under the Crazy John's brand.

Mr Ilhan's 75 per cent stake in the company will now pass to family members including his wife, Patricia.

"Obviously the business will continue on; his wife will be the major shareholder," Managing Director Mr Fleiter said.

Ilhan sold 16.6 per cent of the equity in his company to key members of the Smorgon family and the Selpam Group after his split with Telstra.

National Australia Bank holds an 8.5 per cent stake in Mobileworld.

John Ilhan poured million of dollars into his beloved Richmond Football Club and expressed a desire to become the Tigers' president.
