* Could you be at Richmond for 10 years? yes very happy there.

* Looked to work hard as he had no preseason. Was able to contribute virtually every week to the side so happy with the way the year turned out.

* Your foot skills on both sides are almost flawless? All modern AFL footballers need good foot skills. Dad taught him to bounce the ball left landed which helped with kicking on both sides.

* If we can turnaround our turnover rate will start to match the top sides. No turning over the footy gives you better opportunity to get back in numbers and help your defenders and stops the free flowing footy of the opposition. Once we started to get our turnover rate down from round 15 onwards the results came and we worked better as a team.

* Learnt a lot from Jobe Watson about positioning at bounces as he got towelled up. Watson has a big body and behind to get around. Was able to push Cotch out of the contest. So learnt a lot from him about that. Played a run with role on Kerr too.

* Do you feel the pressure of being a top pick (Russell said if you fail Richmond are basically stuffed having taken you at such a high pick)?  The Club helps you with support. Lids who has gone through the same thing and Cotch's housemate Sugar. Their support makes it easier.

* Healy has Cotch as our 2010/11 B&F. Start to hit his straps next year and then turn it on in 2010/11. Cotch just said he's looking forward to it.

* After Cotch left, Healy said we've got Lids, Cotch, Foley (although he tapered off towards the end of this year). ? still on Cogs. Richmond's midfield is starting to get some numbers and depth to it. Russell says losing and replacing Richo is the big query.

* Russell said Richmond has submitted its request to put Polak on the rookie list next year. AFL need to decide on that.

Cotch is very well spoken for a kid in his first year of AFL footy. Future captain indeed. He wasn't fazed by Healy and Russell's stupid questions either - "Russell said if you fail Richmond are basically stuffed having taken you at such a high pick"  ::).

Makes sense what the Club is doing with Polly. Good to hear. AFL will surely allow it unless they want bad PR.

As for our midfield we're building up a quality first teir but it'll be quality the second and third teirs that will determine how strong our midfield eventually becomes. It needs to be 10-12 deep. We can't rely on expecting just 3 or 4 guys to do all the work as we have in the past with Knighter, Camboand Brodders or Cambo, Sugar and Cogs.
