Gold Coast Suns FC

The new Gold Coast FC has officially decided tonight to go with no nickname at all and the colours red, white, blue and yellow.

The logo is a red circle/oval with GC in white and yellow and blue trim around the outside of it.

Marlins logo is better than that pathetic looking logo they have come up with now. Reminds me of that loser looking logo Freo had in their frst few seasons in the AFL.

The logo looks like an NFL one. Surprised the Lions haven't complained about the colours being similar.

Yeah I personally liked Marlins.  Colours too much like Crows or Lions.  And the stupid cartoon lifeguard is too much like the Dockers thingy.

The only positive I see with this whole GC17 thing is that we (RFC) are more likely to make at least one trip to Qld every year once they enter the competition....

And I reckon Qld trips are the best in the AFL :thumbsup

Actually, daniel what is a disgrace regarding West Sydeny is the fact that the AFL are going ot pour so much money into it and it will not work.

West Sydney is rubgy league heartland,have about as much chance as taking in an AFL club as i have barracking for St Kilda  ;D

Wait until tomorrow night and see the crowd.... I hear don the news tonight they've hardly sold a ticket... would think there is a message there

Let's just see how popular AFL is in Sydney when the Swans start sliding down the ladder... their crowds have been down this year and they have had a half decent year

They're dreaming if they think they can get $40,000 members!  Most AFL supporters I know say they will still support their current team.  I think the AFL let their run a bit late, especially know the Titans are around. 

Mini-me has been arguing with her NRL class-mates about the two codes.  She cops the usual "AFL" but was quick to reply that she didn't know of any gay afl players and what about Ian Roberts? :lol
