Rioli will be a superstar.

Butler will be very good if inconsistent.

Castagna will be the next Nathan Gordon.
Rioli is a first round selection that averages 5 kicks per game, that stood by himself on the wing with 21 seconds to go and watched us lose that game. That is pathetic and he deserves his right whack regardless of who is uncle was.
The kid is a long way from being a superstar.
The other two have come from much further back and have been just as good as Rioli this year.

The form of all 3 have dropped recently but that is because of the way the footy has been entering our forwardline.
Out of the 3, Rioli looks like he needs a rest more than the other two.
His body language at times is awful
Disagree BT.
Rioli still chasing and tackling. Out of the three of them Rioli still is most threatening.
Out of the three lasagna is the most inconsistent and needs the rest.
Are you disagreeing that Rioli standing alone on the wing with 21 seconds to go is not exceptable?
Or are you disagreeing that Rioli averages 5 kicks a game? 5 kicks in 100 minutes isn't enough.
Or are you disagreeing his body language isn't AFL standard at times.

He is a very good tackler but footy is about getting the pill. He needs to do more and again, if his name wasn't Rioli Im pretty sure you would agree.

I haven't seen a softer player ever than C Ellis and that includes McMahon who used to run away from players

I had high hopes for this kid but I'm losing all hope.

He's hopelessly soft and now I think it's too late for him.

not dimwits fault though, nothing is right?

Oh yeah it's Dimmas fault if a player is scared of contact ::)

Of course. He'd have absolutely nothing to do with setting expectations and standards as the coach.  ::)

Set all the standards you want, it's up to the player to not go soft when he joins the big boys

Rioli is the most overrated player on our list by far.
Another nothing game.
Dropped a chest mark late that my 4 year old daughter would have taken.
Getting a game because of his name.
Should be dropped.

George Cantkickit & Martin's missed set shots early in the last wre far more criminal than anything Rioli did.

He played an ok game. Focus on the pathetic set shots not Rioli who works his guts out.

Rioli missed 3 goals before halftime.
Another 7 kick game and 2 tackles. Worked his guts out my arse!

I know its an emotional time ATM but please open your eyes and watch the game closely. Again, the easy missed shots at goal cost us the game.

they both cost us, no excuses for jack, martin or costanza to miss from 20 metres out direct in front, and no excuses for rioli to drop a stuffing uncontested mark on our last thrust fwd. He marks that we go inside 50 - inexcusable

I find it so disappointing that castagna probably puts himself in the best positions and gets the most ball out of all our small forwards but his decision making and kicking is just so poo.

That's pretty obvious but what has that got to do with what I think of Rioli game?
He averages LESS than 2 kick per quarter for the year. How is that exceptable??
People like you need to open your eyes and see him for the player he is at the moment and that's pretty bloody avaerage.
He missed 3 goals early in the game, then barley touched it after that before dropping a chest mark with about a minute to go.
Take the rose coloured glasses off mate, he was poo house today.
