* Sounds as though he plans to hang around at Tigerland for a while if allowed as he doesn't see himself getting a gig now due to a low profile. Said he hopes to have some success with us which in turn would help him in terms of getting senior coaching position.

* Royal stood up for Terry as you'd expect. Said Plough was second to none in his experience. The club has know where it is at. It's called list management. We're not Geelong who are going for the flag and if they don't win the flag this year will chase a couple of players to get them there the next. However with the processes Terry has put in place it will pay off for Richmond in 2009-2010.

* Excited to see our young kids develop. Another debutant this week. Difficult to get the players up at this time of year but that's the difficulty of being a coach. We try to focus on the positives while still getting the boy learn from the negatives which there are when you have only 1.5 wins.

* Praised Foley and Edwards as big positives for the year.

* Congratulated Rodan. Said it was bad luck with Rodan during his time at Richmond. Did a knee in the first preseason and footy is a confidence thing with David so he struggled in his comeback year. Not too sure if Rodan was still playing with us he'd be playing the same sort of footy. He's playing in a side that's up and running and he can fit into that.

* $$$ affect us as far as chasing Irish players go.

* Said Coburg players are a chance of being picked up.

* One of Gus or Cass will be debuting this week (announced in 25 mins by Plough). The other will debut before the end of the season.

* Newman - not captain next year but could be down the track. As midfield coach would like him to play in the midfield.

* Peterson - exciting

* Schulz in our big picture. With Richo, Jack and Cleve you can't play them all.

I am now convinced Royal should be moved on at season's end for some fresh blood.
If he's lost the desire to be a senior coach he should try another career.
The RFC is not a retirement home for assistants who have been around since forever.

His work with the midfield has been apalling this season.

Get some gonads Terry and replace your 'mate' with someone recently out of the game who is hungry, has fresh ideas and who might stop patting you on the back at every turn.

Someone has to carry the can on the coaching staff for this season's debacle.
Goodbye Brian Royal.

I disagree.
The quicker we get Schulz, Riewoldt and Hughes as our talls isolated in the forward 50m the better IMO.
