RICHMOND forward Matthew Richardson believes he can see light at the end of the tunnel for the Tigers, after a disappointing season that has produced just a solitary win and a draw.

Richardson said the emergence of some of the club's younger players has provided a positive in an otherwise dismal season, with names such as Nathan Foley, Shane Edwards, Jake King, Jack Riewoldt, and now Daniel Connors all showing immense potential.

"The good thing that I'm seeing at the moment is the young guys," Richardson said on SEN on Tuesday.

"A few of them probably ended up playing before they thought they would, but it's good to see them out there, and it was a good sign on the weekend with young Daniel Connors – I think he had 26 touches and took a really good mark.

"He showed that he's got some good skills."

After being on the receiving end of a 70-point mauling by flag favourites Geelong on Saturday, Richardson said the Cats have the evenness to go all the way.

"You don't know who to stop. Every single one of them is doing their job, from week to week," he said.

"Last week, [Matthew] Stokes bobbed up and kicked five, this week, [Steve] Johnson did, and [Cameron] Mooney might kick five next week, and young [Nathan] Ablett is down there as well.

"Everyone in the team is contributing, and when you're doing that, I think that's the reason they're such a good team."

While he said "no one can get near them" as far as football is concerned, he did concede the all-conquering club does have one distinct achilles heel.

"There is one weakness Geelong has got – that past players' stand [at Skilled Stadium]," he said.

"It just looks out of place. I said to Kayne Pettifer before the game, that stand should be up at the Kyabram Football Club."

its true what is going on surely with everyone scrutinizing the tigers over all these years as being the such great club that nothing ever gets fixed & all they do is talk it up off the field yet they milk the supporters & sponsors & give nothing back
we got the stock but we not producing & if we still got the same skill coaches from years back l would have sacked them day dot of walking into the club to rebuild it 3 years ago if l was Wallace
