Are we wearing our centenary jumper again this week?
« on: August 05, 2008, 08:03:46 PM »
Does anyone know if we are wearing it again for the Tom Wills/Hertiage round this weekend?

Some rumours around that we may be but it could be all garbage.

Gawd I hope not  ;D

It is the pits

Wouldn't be surprised if we have to wear our alternate strip though

Adelaide have to wear theirs when they play us so..... who knows but I haven't heard anything, but I have been locked away in my office for the last 2 days  :P

I don't think we have to. We didn't last year and the more yellow in our clash guernsey would only clash with the Crows jumper even more.

Wear it next week ;)

I like your thinking Julz but I hope we never see it again.  Apart from the fact it looks too much like Hawthorn, I will forever remember it as being the one we wore when we lost the one game I really wanted us to win this year.

We have never won in heritage week or Tom Wills Round as it is this year.

2003  Round 19
Richmond   7 8 50
St Kilda     20 10 130

2004 Round 18
Collingwood  15 13 103
Richmond     14 14  98

2005 Round 20
Richmond  16 11 107
Doggies    18 11 119

2006 Round 16
Sydney  14 17 101
Richmond 7 11  53

2007 Round 20
West Coast 18 9 117
Richmond    12 14 86.

I say lets just wear the jumper we have worn for 16 rounds this year and about 100 years before that or better still our alternate guernsey as we have a 100% record wearing it and we did spoil a milestone when wearing it last year. :thumbsup

The players wore two sets of heritage jumpers on the day. One up until half time and the other after half time. Both sets were auctioned in the week after the game. I believe that every player on that day was given a third jumper that they did not wear, but these jumpers are in the personal possession of each player.

Never to be seen again I reckon, thankyou.

Then we should wear the jumpers from the first half that day and burn the ones from the second half  :P

I was thinking the same thing as I read that TT  :thumbsup  ;D. I hope that doesn't explain our third quarter fade outs if we change into new jumpers every week at half-time :o  :help.
